I do understand the triangle. Edward is so gentlemanly which I am attracted to and I guess mature and protective, but then Jacob is fun and chill and physically attractive (well, when he had gorgeous long hair) and going by those things I would still be Team Edward. However, if she chose Jacob, she wouldn’t need to leave her family behind, she wouldn’t need to die. She could still have babies, so rationally he would be the best choice for her. But that being said,I can’t help but be team Edward. (Except the controlling toxic elements but I promise no spoilers lol) 🦷⚰️🩸✨
Bella could not talk to a therapist or her parents about this. People forget that Bella has entered a magical supernatural world. And suddenly.... its gone. She can't tell anyone & she just exists walking around the world knowing there is MORE but is apart from it now. She is set apart from others even more than she normally felt.
Yep. She literally can’t talk to anyone about it. It’s not like she could tell a therapist, “My vampire boyfriend broke up with me after his vampire brother dried to drink my blood.” She even mentions in the book when Charlie brings up therapy that if she truly said what was bothering her, they’d put her in a padded cell, thinking she was crazy. She also has to be really careful with what she says around everyone now because she could accidentally slip up and say something that gives it away. She has to really watch her words. It makes sense why she’s so depressed.
Anyone else getting a kick out of listening to Blake and Igli actually being on the SAME SIDE about Jacob! 😂 After listening to the constant Damon vs. Stefan debate, this is pretty refreshing.
@@eanammerman4501And with Edward and Alice, he’d be able to see the past, present, and future. The past because of the depth of his gift, the present because of Edward’s range, and the future because of Alice’s visions.
@@eanammerman4501Edward was always undefeated in hand to hand combat so making the Volturi henchman beat him up is ridiculous. They still could have showed Edwards face cracking to show the seriousness of it all without making him lose. I stand IP world break haha.
You guys are too freaking funny at the end. Your investment is why I love the channel. Oh boy, the Eclipse comments section is going to be a war zone. I'm pre-dialing 911 for y'all.
Omg I'm not mentally ready for that but tbh the next 3 movies are gonna be insane to watch but this is why I like men watching twilight to get the pov on the situations and some greats laugh/screams are coming
Literally while they were talking about if they were Team Edward or Team Jacob, all I could think about it how much I CANT WAIT to see their reaction to Eclipse now. lol
It's funny how Blake and Igli are always arguing, but the one time they are on the same side, they are unbeatable. Lol. 😂 But, no matter if they are team Jacob or team Edward, I am just glad they can all agree that Alice is a great character because she has always been my favorite.
7:00 "I saw Edward and I folded" yeah you and everybody else that reacts 😂❤ it's the Robert effect. The way Matthew was back and forth I don't know who he really wants Bella with😂
Also, just cause I know people will say it - the love triangle is very much present in the movies _and_ in the books. In fact I think it’s a lot less in the movies because we lose Bella’s inner monologue and her love for Jacob is something she mostly thinks about in the books. Despite her falling in love with Jacob in this movie/book though, in both series it’s clear that she loves Edward more.
Yes it the books it's way better because we actually know what she's thinking and we get to see how it affects her and Edward since he can't read her mind and he was always second guessing.
26:08 That's because the mechanic in the Cullen family is actually Rosalie; she's the one that maintains and upgrades all their vehicles~~~ That's an actual fact; you can google it^.^
People making the depression scene out to be a joke is so silly cuz reality is she couldn't talk to anyone about vampires, like imagine finding out about these things existing and your life is consumed with that for nearly a year for it all to disappear over night and it'd be kind of living in fear as a human, knowing what really exists out there but the entire Cullen family is just gone with no contact
7:58 Jasper's power to control emotions is one of the Cullens' strongest powers. It's a shame that it's not explored as much in the movies! In the recent book: Midnight Sun, where the events of the first movie/book are narrated from Edward's point of view, we discover how strong it is! In addition to being one of the only powers that works on Bella! During the baseball scene, the nomads James, Laurent and Victoria only don't attack the Cullens right away when they meet because of Jasper. He uses his powers to protect everyone there, putting an intimidating aura on all the Cullens, so intimidating that from Victoria's point of view, Emmett (who is the most physically strong vampire of the Cullens) seemed to be much more muscular and scary, to the point that she (with her power of evasion) is already thinking of a million ways of how she'll run away without even looking back if they decide to fight! In addition to this intimidating aura, Jasper also placed a fog of boredom on Bella and Alice precisely to protect them (Bella because she is human and Alice because she is the love of his life). In the book, Edward says that this fog of boredom was so intense that he almost couldn't read Alice's mind to find out if she had any visions. Another demonstration of how strong Jasper's power is is in the final scene in the ballet studio, when they arrive to help Edward and Bella, Emmett manages to get to James first and holds him very tightly while he resists, but the moment he sees Jasper coming and going towards him, he simply gives up resisting and accepts his death. Edward describes that Jasper had such a terrifying, murderous, intimidating glimpse that it quickly made James realize that he was in no condition to fight him, so he just accepted defeat.
They didn’t explain it really in the movies but when a vampire falls in love it’s permanent. Every day is exactly like the first day in love. So if a vampire dies from a vampire couple, the remaining vampire usually self deletes because they can’t stand the pain. What the Cullens (and Edward) didnt know was that its the same with a vampire/human relationship. Even the human is changed which is why Bella is so hardcore with Edward. It’s also why when he leaves she is in so much mental and physical pain because the separation and loneliness is physically hurting her. They don’t show it in the movies but Edward is also feeling the same way as Bella.
eh... I know the first part is correct in that the vamps are permanently changed. It is part of being a vamp. they don't change. So when something is powerful enough to impact them in that way, it sticks. But where did we get the other side? I've read those books a thousand times and I never got that it would be the same for the human. It makes sense in Bella's case, just because that is how Bella is. It's her personality. But who's to say it would be the same for any other human. If Edward died while Bella was human, she still has the capacity to change and heal, as was shown in the book with Jake. Part of her would always morn, but in time she would be able to move on, so long as she didn't act recklessly in the midst of the initial pain.
44:35 Bella is such a hypocrite, when Edward (a guy she just met) told her he’s killed people she said “I don’t care 🫦” and now she’s accusing Jacob of it with her high moral ground? Lol
the victoria chased by wolves scene was SO MAGICAL in theatres fo reals everyone was absolutely silent which was eerie considering how loud everyone was for all the rest of the movie 😂
leaving her in the woods is so ridiculous wth lol. even the random biker dude took her back!! this was hilarious. also yessssssssss the wolves finally lolll
In the book she was within sight of the house when he walked away. She ran deeper into the woods and then he went and forged a note to her dad to tell him she went for a walk in the woods so he would know where to look. This is one of those times where the movie brevity makes the character look worse than he is.
30:00 Just a reminder - Taylor hasn't been 18 until the last two - three movies. Jacob as a character I believe is younger for all of the movies. Even more impressive that he got all those muscles, so he wouldn't get recast like other kids and the fact that he did his stunts, was also crazy. 47:40 It's never really said in the movies - Victoria like James also has vampiric super power, for her it's actual instincts and abilities to escape. As evident with Laurent an average Vampire would have been fully out at that point. 48:45 Also canonically - in-universe mermaids are actually vampires who decided to live underwater (as they don't need to breath). 49:00 The other tidbit is that - in books, we actually are not sure if Victoria was even around there. As we follow Bella (for most chapters) - she only saw a glimpse of fire flashing through waves. And at that point girly was fully unstable and hallucinating. We only later on learn that wolves were hunting and Jacob was also in the area. Which I feel like movie did good job of actually showing us the stuff, we only learn from Jacob's words. 50:20 To be fair Edward did have heating in his car. 1:03:55 Remember that Alice's predictions are subjective - based on decisions being made. It makes it possible for her to create any vision she wants, if she is involved - she just needs to decide to do something. It was flimsy defence really - especially as Aro knows how her abilities work. But he also knows that with threat of his family - Cullens would change Bella either way (obviously, if she wasn't eaten first). That's pretty much a promise made by Alice more than actual image from the future.
26:52 so for context, this scene with the darkness when she wakes up screaming is what shes dreaming about that gives her night terrors. To her, the absence of Edward is giving her the sense of absence of everything and she's screaming into the abyss every time she goes to sleep.
Bella & Edward I think were not very far from her house, but because she hoped going deeper would get Edward to come back, perhaps to entice him to save her, she just kept going.
The 'it's always been him' scene lives rent free in my head it's just so perfect and should've been a sign for Jacob to give up at that moment, it's one of the many reasons why I really dislike him but tbh it's very close to hate lol. Twilight: Midnight Sun animated series will be released next year but it's only based on the first movie which is annoying bc I want to see what the Cullen's were up to in new moon, I'm really hoping u guys will react to it bc I'm actually excited 🤍
I agree he keeps saying he wants her to admit her feelings but when she does he can't accept it that's my big issue with Jacob besides the manipulation and immaturity. She flat out says she loves him but it's always been Edward a normal person would've accepted that but no he gets pissed, grabs her all the time, and tels her what he WON'T let her do 😂like sir you are not my father.
@@shania991 Exactly I've had experiences w ppl who I'm not close to forcefully grab me like that and unless ur my friend, a loved one or my so I don't like that at all like they did it like it was ok and I didn't say anything bc I was young. Also Igli saying 'he's not quitting' like this isn't cute sir I would've slapped Jacob and he's such a whiny character 😂
@@brianattyberry Midnight sun released in 2020 and it's of Edward's pov from the first book, I've heard Meyers is writing 2 books rn and just like HG there's gonna be another live action movie in the future I'm like 95% sure of
One thing that I never see anyone bring up is, say Bella chooses Jacob. She falls deeply in love with him & Edward steps away with a wrecked & broken heart. Jacob & Bella build a life together over the next few years when, suddenly, Jacob walks around a corner in town, imprints on the girl he sees walking there & it’s all over. He leaves Bella & now she has no one. I actually think it’s pretty irresponsible of Jacob to make promises or engage in a relationship when you know it could all be over at the drop of a hat.
1:03:28 it is often overlooked, but this fight is not a fair fight. Edward is defending Bella, but you can see, as he was stepping out into the sun that he hasn't been feeding. It was also addressed in the first movie that the Cullen's lack of human Blood leaves them at a disadvantage.
Also, he was fighting Felix, the strongest member of the Volturi guard and the one that probably has the most skill with fighting. Probably the only one that would stand a chance against Felix in strength is a newborn, but Felix could probably beat them because newborns don’t have good fighting skills.
Nope, it's just the movie makers making Edward weaker in the movies. He looks weak in all the fights. There's no way he would have lost in the books if that fight had happened. Especially next to Alice, because then he would not only be able to read minds, but he would also know all the possible outcomes. Unless Alice saw that in all cases it would be better for him to give in. Felix is strong, yes. But Edward always defeats Emmett, the strongest in their family. And no one knows who is stronger, Felix or Emmett. Also, there may be a difference in blood, but as Jasper thought in Eclipse, wondering if it would improve their chances before the battle, it's a minor improvement (I don't remember the exact words).
@@Thundernoob98 I meant because I’m on their Patreon and they finished the series over there but I hadn’t watched them yet. My comment was from 2 weeks ago lol
loved yalls reaction lol had me howling i read the books and even in the books jacob was never an option. like the love triangle is clearly just for content and filler, edward was always endgame. bella always loved edward the most
Edward wasn’t actually using any vampiric power to ”ghost” Bella. It was just Bella imagining him. In the book she only heard his voice but it was changed for the movie.
This book was so ME-coded in high school (self conscious, in my feels 🫣 lol) I don’t think the movies conveyed Bella’s inner monologue enough about how she never felt she deserved to be with Edward and how he made her feel that way during the break up.
Team Edward, but best vampire is Damon Salvatore. Damon supremacy 'Cause he's my best friend, he's my pal. He's my home-boy, my rotten soldier. He's my sweet cheese, my good time boy.'
lol man, I remember the moment in theaters when Jacob took off his shirt like it was YESTERDAY. The way all the ladies squealed and whistles bellowed. Such great times.
Nahhh I hate that yall are team Jacob I never liked him 💀 😭 he just won’t stop even when getting rejected lmao. I hope yall become team Edward next movie. TEAM EDWARD!!!
blake and igli teaming up was new to me since i always see you arguing during TVD because blake is team damon and igli is team stefan 🤣 this was so fun to see
52:31 I'm team Alice myself. My favorite character next to Charlie. Ashley Green is gorgeous, and she still has a podcast that she does about Twilight with guests i believe.
People take the depression time passing scene so literally. Its just a film device. She had a job at the hardware store in the book so she was not just at home 24/7, but adding more filler scenes would not help the flow of the movie.
46:07 This is Thom Yorke's "Hearing Damage" and it got me a ticket once, because this sounds EPIC up against a set of two 12" speakers in your trunk pushed by a 1000 watt amp. I couldn't be stopped, until i was stopped lol.
it kills me how everyone says they need more Jacob because of the first movie which is fine because he’s great but it always goes out the window because of how they nuked Jacob’s character in the third movie onwards 😭
Rosalie is the mechanic in the family and loves cars. But in general, all the Cullens love cars. Edward is second only to Rose, Jasper loves motorcycles, Emmett often helps Rose. They can all fix something. They upgrade cars for themselves. Also, it still annoys me how weak they make Edward. And Jasper. They are actually the strongest fighters in the family. And how weak they make vampires in general in the movies. I think they don't show speed and strength well. Of course, they should do it in a way that the audience can see and beautifully. With Victoria, it kind of worked out, you can see that she mostly plays with the wolves. Wolves can develop great speed to catch up with a regular vampire, they need to accelerate for this. Vampires don't need this, they can immediately start at maximum. Now if you think about it, there should be vampires that wolves can't catch up with (Hi, Edward) and the Quileutes don't have much experience.
Actually Jacob and the others are just wolf shifters. There are werewolves according to Stephanie but those are different. Also book bella is vastly different to movie bella and honestly movie bella just sucks. And honestly Jacob is a manipulative pos so he's as much a jerk as Edward is
So good to see Bella back. I'm assuming she won her contract negotiations. I knew she would because somebody has to keep an eye on Matthew. It's fascinating. Writers of vampire stories always seem to be talking about dysfunctional relationships when it comes down to it. Anne Rice was a master of making horrific things seem beautiful, including toxic connections between characters.
8:00 yea, so like many details from the books, it's never really talked about in the movies beyond a throw-away line but Jasper is an Empath. He can feel and manipulate the emotions of those around him. Edward, Alice, and Jasper are the only Cullens with extra powers. For the rest, they just have something extra special about them in a different way. Carlisle is more compassionate than the rest of vampire kind. Esme more loving. Rose is like the most beautiful woman to ever walk the Earth - think elevated Helen of Troy. And Emmett is a little bit stronger than most vampires except for newborns. 30:08 nahh, trust me. Team Edward is never cooked. 32:47 I just want this moment remembered. Bella told him from the start that she was not interested in anything more than friendship. And she never says anything else. She has made that very clear. From here on out, it's Jacob trying to push feelings onto her that she's not interested in. 55:17 that and worse. When a vampire loses their mate, it's worse than death. They're never the same, empty inside and out. Right now, Edward is in the most pain he's ever been in and once that fades, he'll damn near feel nothing but the will to die. 57:00 no, they want his mind reading abilities. Aro is limited - he has to be touching someone to read their thoughts (every thought they've ever had, in fact) but Edward just has to be in a certain radius to hear anyone he wants (except Bella.) 1:04:20 That's Marcus. The reason he looks like he's ready to hang himself is because he is a vampire who lost his mate. He's ready for death - Aro uses another vampire's gifts to keep him with the Volturi. Marcus is Aro's brother and is gifted. He can see bonds. In the books, he is surprised, or as surprised as he can be, that Edward and Bella have such a strong mate bond. He then shares that with Aro by touching Aro's hand. I mean, the cold thing is only an issue as long as she's human. Which she very much doesn't want to be.
Hey now, Bella and Edward had dated for a whole six months by the time they attempted their ctrl alt delete party with the Volturi... They'd also been broken up for longer than they had been together by that point as well but apparently that doesn't matter when they looooove each other 🙃🤣.
Jasper's power is mood control. I never knew this because I didn't read the books. It's not explained at all in the movies, which makes it confusing. But basically, Bella didn't want the birthday party, and he "made her" like the idea with his powers. 🤷🏻♀️
I'd choose werewolves over vampires anyday of the week. Plus, I don't think Bella deserves Jacob. **FYI: Jane is played by Dakota Fanning and the blonde Voltori leader also plays Vecna.
I rewatched this so many times for Blake and Igli’s team up at the end. M! Rewatching Twilight makes me realise TVD love triangle was better because Elena could go anyway but Bella is always going to choose Edward.
The response of all four when Bella confessing “ it will be him” the collective “ ooohhhh uffff damn oh man” was soooooo satisfying 😂 Thanks for a decent reaction to Twilight New Moon and not Bullying the movie and Characters and the Dialogues 🙏 I liked it. Few tips and suggestion for next one because I like your reaction, it’s gonna be little bit Cringey & bit challenging to ignore CGI malfunctions too, but plz try to see the storyline above technical things 😊 Can’t wait for the rest of the reactions cya then guys ✌🏻
I find the lore of the werewolves much more interesting than the vampires in this universe. I also just like the close-knit, casual family vibe of the Quileute pack, it’s so warm compared to the coldness of the vampires (which I guess is intentional).
I mean yea they are vampires lmao but they aren't as cute or warm you are forgetting Sam caused that scar all because he got rejected they have issues controng their emotions I still love them but I feel pepple ignore that fact.
@ I disagree tbh :/ Carlisle is fairly warm but to me Esme is barely a character in the movies (in the books she’s warm I agree). But in general the wolves have a much warmer presence all the time and like I said, I think it was intentional
@hali_55 I mainly disagree because as warm as they may seem but even Billy was basically threatening Bella in the books about Edward I think for me I see what they more so tried to do. But that's just me everybody feels whatever way about this franchise honestly the warmest one now that I think about it was freaking Seth loved him.
I think it's cool to note Taylor actually wasn't suppose to be back for new moon because book Jacob by this time is like 6'5, pure muscle, and already looks 25 so Taylor really had to bulk up. Okay besides the annoying girls stuck trying to trash it while liking tvd when it's just as toxic but😂 i wanna make a few notes 10:29 So Edward was actually the first one Carlise changed in the "family" so he has been the one to go the longest without having a mate and Carlise at some point tries to set him up with Rose(obviously that didn't work). It's also important to remember they keep their existence a secret the fact Edward us breaking almost every rule over a human is a very big deal this isn't just a crush for him he has NEVER felt this way about any vampire let alone a human. They really take out just how much Bella does for Charlie i see team Charlie as if book Bella wasn't literally taking care of him, Charlie didn't even know how to cook Bella was always thinking about her dad but for the film the love triangle is the main focus (Bella even says in the book in a way she has been the parent in one way or another). Bella does love Jacob and in the books it really does take a toll on her the fact she can't love him how he wants her to because she is actually inlove with Edward. When Bella goes to save Edward in the book he keeps his eyes cloes for a few minutes because he literally thinks he died and hearing Bella's voice he wasnt sure if he was in Heaven or Hell. In the books Bella does admit to herself Edward stayed gone maybe months longer she could've possilby seen a future with Jacob(new moon does have a meaning) but like she said it's ALWAYS been Edward. Keep in mind Jasper isn't the newest vampire he is just the newest vegetarian AND his ability is to control and manipulate emotions so when bella bled he isn't just feeling his own hunger but everybody's in the room. 12:55 yeah in the book it happens very fast it was literally just his reflex and because he already has to be careful it's actually impressive he didnt cave her chest in when he pushed her. 8:19 Not ALL but yes there are a good amount of gifted vampires Jasper's is he can sense and change emotions so he turned Bella's idk into a yes (that's why she says no fair) and it's why HIS gift works on Bella but Edward's, Aro, or Janes don't any power that deals with the mental doesn't work on Bella. 42:55 Sam actually gave Emily the scar when she initially rejected him after he imprinted on her he didn't do it on purpose he was hurt/upset and phased while she was next to him. It's sad because Sam was with Leah who is Emily's cousin (extra messed up) but they broke up and that's when he imprinted on Emily and at first she didnt want to be with him because she knew it would hurt Leah i felt so bad for my girl. New moon isn't my personal favorite but ut has my absolute favorite opening scene .❤ the way they capture Bella's fear of getting old and Edward not wanting her I really liked it, great visuals.
Fyi Victoria's power is self-preservation which is like a 6th sense to evade danger, dodge and pull herself to safety. Just mentioning it here because it will never be mentioned in the movies and help explain why she's badass in escaping enemies.
I love dogs, the bigger the better, and with Jacob’s wolf glow up in this movie there was no question I was team Jacob when this one came out in theaters. Bella is one of the most aggravating protagonists in movie history. The choice was so easy but the heart wants what it wants I guess….Thanks for reacting to these and going on the Twilight journey!
At least she has always been honest with Jacob. Remember in the theater, "I'm afraid it might mean more to you than what it is". She said that to Jacob. She has never felt the same towards Jacob as she has and does towards Edward. BUT, I like these movies, a lot, but the Books were written for teens and young adults. And the transitions to Movies made it more Adult like. Sadly. I canb't wait to see your reactions to ECLIPSE, the next movie. Nice Post.
U know Edward is asking for this years considering Bella will change her mind when she turns 20-21 and get over him, not to turn her. I know you guys are Jacob team, but u know Edward is not a bad guy himself, he’s gentleman enough to leave her and even thank Jacob for protecting her rather than being jealous or insecure about the time they spend together. So just don’t be too harsh on Edward, if you guys do wanna blame someone blame Bella, coz along with being a teenager she’s also suicidal, just want to stay young and vampire no matter what😂 and plays with both the guys feelings for her own benefit 😂🙌🏻
I love how everyone who watches these movies get hooked on the story and characters. Even if they're not the target audience. Say what you want about this movie and some of the problematic things, but these are classics! I watch them so much over and over lol.
RAGGEDY PACK AZ. have you had an MRI on your neck? Matthew being vulnerable isn't a weakness. THIS WAS FUN. Everyone loves Charlie and Alice. guys always think Bella was leading Jacob on, I think she was honest.
Matthew made the reaction for me man... This was awesome. "They're perfect for each other, they're both idiots" Absolutely, that's the only way to tolerate the movies. Shout out to Vecna Volturi. Love from Argentina
The wolf-shifters stop aging when they change for the first time and only start aging again later in life when they learn to control the impulse and decide to sort of stop being a wolf, and renesmee ages quickly both physically and mentally up until she is about 7 years old and fully grown when she stops aging completely. When a Quileute turns into a wolf for the first time, he/she stops aging. If you are 17years old like Jacob, you stay 17 years old for 100 years, 200 years... until there is no more vampires around. More vampires near their territory can cause the skinchangers to turn early in their life because their body senses a threat, but after awhile they learn to control their anger & shifting. The main reason they may choose to stop aging is because the person they imprinted on died. There are werewolves in the books but these are skinchangers(very well known and a real thing from several native tribes around the world, especially within my Norwegian culture and heritage.) many vampires can’t tell the difference and werewolves are almost a legend at this point that they can’t tell or haven’t seen one in so long (the three Volturi are all 3000 plus years old and Aro was meant to look 17-18, and I think Caius was meant to be the older one and Marcus was to be similar age. (And was going to leave the volturi and to keep him controllable Aro killed his own sister Dydime who was wife of Marcus because they were going to leave the coven; via other’s vampire powers to keep him emotionally bonded despite wanting to leave. The intrigue and ages of history wasn’t included in the movies sadly.)
The gratitude I have for you guys right now for actually enjoying these movies (when the last reaction series I just watched for these was, welp, basically a hatefest 😅) It is immense, I am so so thankful that you four are having fun with these and I hope you continue to enjoy them throughout the series, in spite of the "cringe" factor ❤🙏🏻❤️
You guys are COOKING with the reactions, I wasn’t expecting this. You guys are doing this saga and also The Hunger Games, NAHHH, you guys deserve all the likes and follows!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Ps: Hopefully you can react in the future to: -28 days later - Black Swan - Orphan -Juno
So I've gotten mixed answers as to whether Bella also had romantic feelings for Jacob in the book. A lot of people say no and others say yes. I just know that for the marketing for the movies (this one in particular), they really harped on the Team Edward/Team Jacob thing. And it wasn't just teen girls drooling over them but their mums and grandmas as well (which is kind of messed up considering Taylor Lautner was 17 when this was filmed). Having said that: Team Jacob baby! But when I say that I don't necessarily mean as Bella's love interest, more that I find him a much more interesting character than Edward OR Bella for that matter. The worst thing about these movies, in my opinion, is that Bella THE MAIN GIRL and Edward ONE OF THE MAIN GUYS, are just so boring, annoying and extremely toxic (Bella most of all). I don't care about them individually OR together. The only relationships of theirs that I do like is with their families (though Bella treats her dad, who is undoubtedly the best character of all of them, like crap a lot of the time). When Bella arrived as the new girl in school last movie everyone was so nice and welcoming to her, but then she just ditched them when Edward came along and only started hanging out with them again in this one because Jacob was MIA and she wanted her dad to stop hassling her (I know she had to at the end of both movies but that was after all of that). She especially pisses me off in this movie by putting herself in harms way and literally trying to kill herself because she misses her boyfriend?! And I'm not minimising how a person feels when they go through heartbreak but this is so toxic (Btw, when Bella kept seeing Edward, he wasn't really there. It was just an hallucination trying to keep her from doing something reckless and dangerous). I do think that Jacob needs to let it go but Bella was also giving him mixed signals and using him because Edward was gone, which is so messed up. It was also messed up of Jacob to say that on the phone to Edward with no context. But, meanwhile, Edward doesn't seem to have any friends and planned to kill himself without even checking if it was actually Bella who's dead and without saying goodbye to his family. So much toxicity and stupidity 🤦🏼♀️ But it's entertaining for sure 😂 Surpisingly I think the first movie is the weakest but maybe that's just my bias towards Jacob. However, this isn't my fave either, but I love that it's got more Jacob and finally some actual shapeshifter lore. It's a common misconception that Jacob and the pack are werewolves, when they are in fact shapeshifters who assume wolf-form. It's understandable, however, why people are confused when they are literally referred to as werewolves (in the movies anyway). Some more non-spoiler-y lore: They are descended from the ancient spirit warriors of the Quileute tribe (Sidenote: While preparing for the first movie, Taylor Lautner actually learned he has distant Native American ancestry on his mum's side). The main difference between a shapeshifter and a werewolf is that a werewolf has no control over when they turn, which is usually on a full moon, while a shapeshifter does. Shapeshifters don’t need the full moon to transform and their condition is the result of a gene, whereas werewolves are usually bitten or cursed. Also, shapeshifters can turn into any animal, though in Twilight they mostly turn into wolves. There are werewolves in the books called the Children of the Moon. Phasing is a sudden and violent process, causing their clothes to shred, which is why they are usually shirtless (it's also just a good way to excuse the shirtlessness). Only males were believed to be able to phase until the transformation of Leah Clearwater, which surprised everyone, even though she is a direct descendant of the spirit chiefs. The transformation generally occurs when a boy reaches manhood and is accompanied by a sudden growth spurt lasting for about two months, a dramatic rise in body temperature and intense mood swings (which is why Jacob was acting the way he was in the movie theatre). It is usually triggered when a tribal member encounters the scent of vampires and senses the tribe's need of protection. It can also be triggered by anger, as it was for Jacob. To become human again, the shapeshifter needs to calm down and concentrate. Jacob finds phasing between wolf and human form easier than most because of his paternal great-grandfather, Ephraim Black, a tribal chief and his maternal great-grandfather Quil Ateara II, meaning he has inherited the shapeshifting gene from both sides of his family. Also, Jacob didn't know he was a shapeshifter until he started phasing, he genuinely thought the stories were just stories. Other fun facts/details: The producers were planning to recast Taylor Lautner if he couldn't train hard enough in time to film this movie. But Taylor was committed to playing Jacob and trained intensely for 9 months to bulk up as soon as production wrapped on the first movie. His prep included consuming 4,000 calories per day, eating every 2 hours and working out for 2 hours at least 5 days a week. He gained over 25 pounds of muscle before filming. As opposed to the blue and grey color tones in the first movie (which are supposed to symbolise the coldness of vampires, the dullness of the town and the difficulties of Bella and Edward's relationship), the brown and orange color combination in this one is represents the warmth of the "werewolves", as well as Bella and Jacob's relationship. In some scenes there is an orange truck in the background. The different styles can also be attributed to the filmmaking style of director Catherine Hardwicke in the first one vs. Chris Weitz in this one. I haven't read the books (except a bit of the first one) but I know that the scene where Bella is in the chair while a few months passed, in the book there was just the name of each month in the middle of the page. I think they translated that very well on screen. There was some foreshadowing in the first movie, after Jacob talked to Bella outside of prom, Edward said "I leave you alone for two minutes and the wolves descend". Furthermore, there was a painting of a wolf in Bella's bedroom. Like the first one with the apple, this movie also contains a reference to the picture on the book cover: When Carlisle sets fire to the blood and glass from the cut on Bella's arm they form the shape and colour of the ruffled tulip on the cover. You didn't mention it but you may know Dakota Fanning (Jane) who started as a child actor in movies like I Am Sam, Hide and Seek, Uptown Girls and, later, The Runaways (with Kristen Stewart), Once Upon a Time in Hollywood & Ocean's 8. Michael Sheen took on the role of Volturi coven leader Aro because his daughter Lily (with Kate Beckinsale) was a massive fan of the series. Before joining the franchise as a member of the Volturi named Caius (the blonde one), Jamie Campbell Bower auditioned for Edward. He's also known for Stranger Things, Sweeney Todd, The Mortal Instruments and appearing briefly in Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts. He also appeared in the music video for Never Let Me Go by Florence + The Machine, which I only mention because it's a song that will be on TVD soon 😊 And, again, though Jacob and the pack are technically not werewolves, Tyler Posey was Stephenie Meyer's first choice to play Jacob and he made it far in the audition process. He would later land the leading role of a werewolf on MTV's Teen Wolf. Also, Billy Burke (Charlie) played a werewolf in 2011's Red Riding Hood. Super excited for The Hunger Games btw!!
I never got that debate when in the book(new moon) it's pretty clear she loves him it just isn't as strong as Edward's she was already in love with him she pretty much even admits it I believe.

@RaggedyPack, will you guys react to Equalizer Trilogy??
I do understand the triangle. Edward is so gentlemanly which I am attracted to and I guess mature and protective, but then Jacob is fun and chill and physically attractive (well, when he had gorgeous long hair) and going by those things I would still be Team Edward. However, if she chose Jacob, she wouldn’t need to leave her family behind, she wouldn’t need to die. She could still have babies, so rationally he would be the best choice for her. But that being said,I can’t help but be team Edward. (Except the controlling toxic elements but I promise no spoilers lol) 🦷⚰️🩸✨
I hope you guys also react Hunger Games and Divergent movies
Taylor Lautner actually did the parkour thing up the tree and into Bella’s window - very impressive
With a rope
Mind you - there was a plug on the side of the wall he jumps off and he had some wires supporting him. Still huge for a 16 years old kid, tbh.
@@mjm3091 He was 17 while filming New Moon
Yeah he did an action movie after this, hollywood really needs to consider him for a bigger movie.
@@ghost-anon I felt so bad that hollywood dropped him because of one bad movie. He was so good in these movies and as a kid. He deserved so much more.
Bella could not talk to a therapist or her parents about this. People forget that Bella has entered a magical supernatural world. And suddenly.... its gone. She can't tell anyone & she just exists walking around the world knowing there is MORE but is apart from it now. She is set apart from others even more than she normally felt.
exactly it's not just about losing edward, she's disconnected from her peers at school now, it's hard to go back to before
😂😂😂😂😂
I know I thought I liked watching them bicker but I love even more when they're united 😂
@@MommaMo373 I do think that at least one of them will change their opinion in the next movie tho 😭
The gifts that the volturi was referring to as "valuable" is Edward's mind reading skills.
And really just so he can be a power boost for Aro. His telepathy is much stronger, but restricted to touch. With Edward he'd have range AND depth.
The Volutri want Edward because he can read minds. Not cause he's fast 😂
54:12 it was his Quileute language, and it means "Stay With Me, Forever"
They need to pin this comment. ❤❤❤
You guys are too freaking funny at the end. Your investment is why I love the channel. Oh boy, the Eclipse comments section is going to be a war zone. I'm pre-dialing 911 for y'all.
It's going to be hilarious😂I'm ready to see the chaos. 🪖
Omg I'm not mentally ready for that but tbh the next 3 movies are gonna be insane to watch but this is why I like men watching twilight to get the pov on the situations and some greats laugh/screams are coming
I literally can't wait 😂😂
Literally while they were talking about if they were Team Edward or Team Jacob, all I could think about it how much I CANT WAIT to see their reaction to Eclipse now. lol
It's funny how Blake and Igli are always arguing, but the one time they are on the same side, they are unbeatable. Lol. 😂
But, no matter if they are team Jacob or team Edward, I am just glad they can all agree that Alice is a great character because she has always been my favorite.
I’m a fan of all the Cullens, but I do have Rosalie in last place🤣
Alice is the best. Her and Emmett are definitely my favorite Cullens.
26:08 That's because the mechanic in the Cullen family is actually Rosalie; she's the one that maintains and upgrades all their vehicles~~~ That's an actual fact; you can google it^.^
i've never read the books and every new thing i learn about Rosalie just makes me like her more
People making the depression scene out to be a joke is so silly cuz reality is she couldn't talk to anyone about vampires, like imagine finding out about these things existing and your life is consumed with that for nearly a year for it all to disappear over night and it'd be kind of living in fear as a human, knowing what really exists out there but the entire Cullen family is just gone with no contact
@@kcallamajaji I know for sure i read it in one of the books. Now I’m going to obsessively check…
Idk about this
44:35 Bella is such a hypocrite, when Edward (a guy she just met) told her he’s killed people she said “I don’t care 🫦” and now she’s accusing Jacob of it with her high moral ground? Lol

In the book she was within sight of the house when he walked away. She ran deeper into the woods and then he went and forged a note to her dad to tell him she went for a walk in the woods so he would know where to look. This is one of those times where the movie brevity makes the character look worse than he is.
I love how invested you guys are getting. Can’t wait to see the next one!
All your reactions at the end when he said marry me 😂 love all you guys! ✌🏼 Eagerly awaiting to see the next films’ reactions! I’m team Blake 😉
Emmet is hilarious in the books and extremely inappropriate lol 😂
He can't give up for a certain reason, which we find out in a later movie. It's not just him being a jerk.
Anything other than what already exists won't come to film or tv before it becomes a book.
@@brianattyberry Midnight sun released in 2020 and it's of Edward's pov from the first book, I've heard Meyers is writing 2 books rn and just like HG there's gonna be another live action movie in the future I'm like 95% sure of

Its so fun watching this again with yall 🤣 i laugh everytime matthew cracks up, he cant believe what hes seeing
The argument at the end was funny
WHY DO I LOVE SEEING GROWN MAN WATCHING THE TWILIGHT SAGA?
CANT WAIT FOR ECLIPSE
I’m a little late to these reactions, but I’m glad to know that Igli and Blake are on team Jacob with me ✌🏻🐺💙

loved yalls reaction lol had me howling
i read the books and even in the books jacob was never an option. like the love triangle is clearly just for content and filler, edward was always endgame. bella always loved edward the most
Edward wasn’t actually using any vampiric power to ”ghost” Bella. It was just Bella imagining him. In the book she only heard his voice but it was changed for the movie.
This book was so ME-coded in high school (self conscious, in my feels 🫣 lol)
I don’t think the movies conveyed Bella’s inner monologue enough about how she never felt she deserved to be with Edward and how he made her feel that way during the break up.
I agree they did show the sadness and depression (been there) but they leave out how mentally destroyed she was.
Jacob's voice is so much less manly than Edwards. Edward is being played by a 23 year old and Jacob being played by a literal child at 16 years old.
That's just Taylor, there are 16 year olds with deep voices.

The first motorcycle was invented 1885. Edward was born in 1901. He most definitely learned some mechanics in his lifetime 😂
I don't know if you read Midnight Sun, but it states Rosalie is the best mechanic out of the Cullen family
Matthews reaction was still a better love story than Twilight.. he had me DYING laughing ❤
Ya'll have to get better material this one is played out😂
@@shania991 tru how about #TeamJacob ? lol.. good memes never die
I've always been team Charlie, team Carlisle, and team Sam. Never Edward or Jacob.
"They get better..." 😭
Aro is limited - he has to be touching someone to read their thoughts (every thought they've ever had, in fact) but Edward just has to be in a certain radius to hear anyone he wants (except Bella.)
1:04:20 That's Marcus.

Hello from Brazil, I'm looking forward to the next react, as a big twilight fan💙🇧🇷

@ I mean I didn’t say the werewolves aren’t violent, I said they seem so warm (as people) compared to the vampires
@@hali_55 I don't know Carlise and Esme are the warmest ones in the franchise if we are being real Carlise especially.
Okay besides the annoying girls stuck trying to trash it while liking tvd when it's just as toxic but😂 i wanna make a few notes
10:29 So Edward was actually the first one Carlise changed in the "family" so he has been the one to go the longest without having a mate and Carlise at some point tries to set him up with Rose(obviously that didn't work).
"the wolves are cringe"
"The movie is cringe"😂
I love it cause its 4 guys reacting to it. I fw these movies btw
Nice Post.
The gangster spinoff 😂😂
Please Start On The “A Night At The Museum” Franchise 😂
I love seeing Bella (the pupper lol) you guys are helping get through the death of my dog. Thank you!
I can picture the cullens after the bday party being like..... we gotta baby proof this house.
Matthew made the reaction for me man... This was awesome. "They're perfect for each other, they're both idiots"
Absolutely, that's the only way to tolerate the movies. Shout out to Vecna Volturi.
Love from Argentina
These videos are my comic relief in life 😂😂😂
The wolf-shifters stop aging when they change for the first time and only start aging again later in life when they learn to control the impulse and decide to sort of stop being a wolf, and renesmee ages quickly both physically and mentally up until she is about 7 years old and fully grown when she stops aging completely.
This was my favorite New Moon reaction. You guys are the best 😆🥰
I'm so excited for you guys to watch the next movie!
The gratitude I have for you guys right now for actually enjoying these movies (when the last reaction series I just watched for these was, welp, basically a hatefest 😅)
It is immense, I am so so thankful that you four are having fun with these and I hope you continue to enjoy them throughout the series, in spite of the "cringe" factor ❤🙏🏻❤️
I loved this. You guys are so entertaining 😂
You guys are COOKING with the reactions, I wasn’t expecting this. You guys are doing this saga and also The Hunger Games, NAHHH, you guys deserve all the likes and follows!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ps: Hopefully you can react in the future to:
-28 days later
- Black Swan
- Orphan
-Juno
Edward was gone for 6months and the time line of the whole twilight saga is less than 2yrs.
So much toxicity and stupidity 🤦🏼♀️ But it's entertaining for sure 😂
Surpisingly I think the first movie is the weakest but maybe that's just my bias towards Jacob.
He also appeared in the music video for Never Let Me Go by Florence + The Machine, which I only mention because it's a song that will be on TVD soon 😊
And, again, though Jacob and the pack are technically not werewolves, Tyler Posey was Stephenie Meyer's first choice to play Jacob and he made it far in the audition process.
The Raggedy Pack just going to war over who gets Bella 🤣, you guys are funny, thanks for the reaction.
If you haven't seen them yet you should really watch the Underworld movies. It's vampires vs werewolves. Those vampires don't sparkle.
