7:12 You're correct! The tenants with armories are all named after weapons manufacturers - most are just muddled from translation. Heckler (Hekkler), Baretta (Beretta), Leminton (Remington), Karashnikofu (Kalashnikov)... all arms manufacturers and 100% intentional in their names.
I actually didn't realize that Hekkeller was a weapon manufacturer name. In retrospect I also should have realized Karashinikofu was BoF2's way of saying Kalashnikov
*** A correction about Tenant Kay taken from the BOF2 Handbook - Errata File: *** Kay gives all characters in your party (not just active members) immunity to poison, until after they are struck with 32 poison-based attacks (in addition to attacks which naturally 'Miss' your characters). Kay will give this gift even if you already have it, and it will reset your party's 'poison immunity counter' back to 32. In my opinion, this makes House 1 a choice between either Kay or Hekeller. The only other way to prevent the Poison status effect is to hunt down some ShinyBR/Light Brace accessories, and that can take a while...
As far as I can recall, there's nothing in game to indicate that tenants will only reside in specific houses either, back in 1994 it's pure trial and error.
Amazing that you've compiled them all! Good job MegaHarv! And everytime you say: for breath of fire 2 on the super nintendo (we know you're playing on the switch 😂, youve spoiled your secret on one of the shorts)
Oh yeah, I spoiled it in a few videos, but figured it couldn't hurt to guide people to notice it is on the Switch. I have a few other Shorts series to compile yet! Glad I started
I feel like macotti or the other tenant that vanishes for the rest of the game might do something if you are able to locate them again. and i have often believed it could be related to getting more characters in your party but i have no way to prove it. there could also be other township tenants found much later in the game that no one has ever found because most players have all 6 houses filled by then. just a theory though, i have no evidence. i also never knew that dungeon was named after karn either but i did always feel like it held many secrets that were never discovered by most players. its like the most mysterious dungeon in the entire game. maybe there is a way to bring karn back to life if you can find the item that karn mentions hidden in there. i doubt its easy to find though, probably requires alot of back tracking or talking with other npcs like the process was with bleu.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if there was some hidden obscure secrets in the game that still haven't been found. While Breath of Fire did have it's time in the sun, it's not like Final Fantasy that's being combed over by tons of people for years, it's still easy to miss stuff. For example, I didn't find out until after this upload that if you recruit "El" into your town, at some point if you talk to El with Sten you find out that El is really the Princess of Highfort! I've speculated that if you recruit "the correct 6 Tenants" for your town that something special might happen, not that I'll ever have the patience to test that, it's food for thought
@@MegaHarv oh yes. I already have it on the SNES portion of the Switch Online part which you can play these great titles offline too. Even the 1st BOF. I haven’t beaten that one either.

Appreciate this clarification! This definitely makes more sense then it only being useful once
It's crazy that you can screw yourself out of some good stuff if you didn't realize that each tenant was locked to a specific house.

You're kitting!!!
I'm sorry. You've outstanded yourself with the statue of limitation...
I'm glad you didn't take my Statue Pun for Granite!

Permanent stat boosting meals is what I like! That’s the guy I want! I never played this game fully but you’re definitely making me want to.
BOF2 is a blast, as you'd expect, I highly recommend it!

This is the funniest and most helpful BoF2 guide ever. 😂😂😊😊
I remember the first time I played this game after Chrono trigger and then going to game FAQs and realized I did a whole lot of wrong
Arwnt they residents and not tennents?
Never heard anyone else say Fartknocker before, wow that threw me
Ok fine I’ll replay BOF2 🤷♂️
Dude, martin is a scammer!!! I remember being so pissed at him!
I didn't think to update the video anywhere, however apparently if you just say "No" to him, he comes clean. I haven't actually checked myself though
cool
