Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Love seeing a father support his son. Zach’s dad grabbing the camera shows he really supports him even if it’s out of his comfort zone. 😁
Well it was a very quick and precise segment. So I wonder how much out of the comfort zone that actually was. I thougt it was really cool,
Boomer Farmer Channel?
That and he must certainly know how much money the channel makes them on the side so of course he'd help
A significant amount of money. Big asset to cash flow I'm sure ?
@@dudleydunce yeah lol
It was great having Dad pick up the camera for that update on the pad. Please let him know that there are a lot of us who would enjoy having him on more frequently.
pin this comment
I concur.
I think your dad would be good on camera more the knowledge that man has for farming and engineering we appreciate it if he could share more years of knowledge awsome guy
I think there could be a new channel in the making "Gen-x Farmer" featuring Nate 1.0...lol
Your dad needs to grab the camera more often. He sounds so confident while he’s filming. Good job dad!!
I was thinking the same thing
100%
Maybe Nate can get his own camera and maybe Jim can get one too
Thank you Mr. Johnson for filming for us while Zack was away! We appreciate it! Well done sir!
Your Dad did a great job filming, I didn’t grow up on a farm but sure enjoy watching your family working on the farm.
Awesome that your dad had the camera for a while love the videos Zach.😊
Zack, As soon as your dad started to speak I had to pause the video and comment. He’s a natural. It does my heart good to see someone who started out looking pretty uncomfortable with the process ( and truth be told maybe a tad skeptical of the value of it all) to someone who is able to fill in for you when needed with confidence and comfort. I see now where you get it from. Kudos. Great job.
That's exactly what I did. I want him to come and film for my channel, too! I need the help!
I wonder if you ask Jim if he'd like to video tape a little , what his response would be ??? Lol...that would be humorous content.
He has a great personality, I enjoy his videos
Am I the only one who feels like "Dad" earned his own camera this episode? Who's ready for "Dad Cam"?
Zach's dad is a natural with the camera, and he is a good narrigator. Maybe Zach should give his dad a camera to fill every day. I'm looking forward to his next day with the camera.
He always delivers quality content, I respect his work
Dad did a great job with the camera. Maybe we’ll hear more from him in the future.
Need more Dad content please! He’s hilarious. Loved the “We’ll probably be buying that back…” comment, had me actually laughing out loud.😂
Dad cam! Great job Dad! Before you know it, you'll be taking pointers from Dougo!
Nate did a great job filling in the part that you missed while gone. I enjoy folks from your area. They are all just so darn nice!
I smiled when your dad took the camera, he did a good job
I came across your channel when I saw a random thumbnail of your two oldest finishing the harvest. I have been hooked ever since. I am a 40+ year old female that has never lived or worked on a farm, but I found your content to be educational, interesting, and the presentation of the content just draws me in. I especially love your sense of humor. It's also a great to see the whole family is involved. Your dad and Jim are priceless. I also really enjoy it when you travel to other types of farms and bring us along. So many people will never get the chance to experience your content firsthand, which makes it all the more important and interesting. God bless everyone involved with your channel.
Agree fully and it's great you clicked on that thumbnail to find something actually wholesome on UA-cam that you can actually share. You couldn't explain your reaction better than you did just now so, well done! I've either been a farmers grandson of a 900 acre century milk farm or a stepson of a 9,000+ acre grain farmer/Agco dealer and just watch while I'm playing games out here to see the life that I'm actually missing out on.
I see you like Rust, so be careful. If you buy Farming Simulator 19 and keep up on Zach here, you might just feel like a farmer too...just zero risk. Anyway, welcome! We love this family.
A big hello from a small town Thurles in Ireland 🇮🇪
Zach now that the ice has been broken we need Jim and Nate cams to fill in. Nate did a good job
Glad to see your dad pick up the camera even if it took 7 years 😂
The actor who played your dad was very convincing 👏
"he's hideous"!
Lolol... it was the beady eyes and shiftless appearance that gave him away!
Dad did a.great job with the camera work. :)
Thanks for sharing your father done great with the camera
Dad did a great job! I think he’s found his retirement job. He’s a real man who wears pants and not girly socks and shorts.
Came to say it was great to see dad behind the camera but everyone else did too 👍🏻
Was nice having Dad taking the camera for a bit
Really like watching you and your Dad handling the struggles farmers face on a daily basis.
Breakdowbs, building projects, crop care and of course your interactions with your pets.
I hope you and the kids won some races.
Great job Nate. It was cool to have you pick up the camera. Before you know it you’ll be filming as much as Dougo.
Dad is amazing with the camera!!! I love it!!!!!
Love seeing Dad on the Camera👏🏻👏🏻
We need a t-shirt with a silhouette of your Dad and the word “YEAH….” on it.
That would be rad.
Zack leaves the camera out for his dad and still thinks he’s the star of the show 😂😂 👍
Thanks Joshes Dad for the great camera work
You should make a equipment cleaning station with your extra space
Your dad kills me!! Filly trusts me! 😂😂😂
On the containment, pore concrete and be done with it.
Dad picking up the camera is something we need more :D I think alot of the viewers will love that!
That fully Automatic jack hammer should be outlawed!!😜🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤣
Hi 👋 Zach Johnson in Minnesota !!!!
Not gonna lie I bout spit out my coffee when nate picked up the camera !!!!!!!! Even if only for 5 sec. Lol
Dad did good with the camera.
Hehe your suppose to pack your grain bin site.
When you set up the containment, don't forget to sink a bucket in the low spot to pump out rain water. have the electricians put an outside outlet on the pump setup, run and extension cord and put a sump pump in the bucket to get rid of the excess water in your containment area. We did it in the ranch house in the basement hooked it in to the sewer line to the septic tank and it really saved headaches. The co-op I worked at built a concrete containment for a roundup tank, didn't put in any way to get excess water out, and leaving that extra water from our portable sump pump not going all the way to the floor was a real headache. Skeeter central. And the potential rust problems.
Allways a good day when the millennial farmer uploads :)
Hell yeah! Nates youtubing. 🤣👍
The military has some really nice setups for containing fuel. We used to park our fuel trucks within a pad and it held about 800-900 gallons in the scenario of a spill. We figured it by water. Rained alot in Washington State. We used to measure the water we drained. We did run it through a filtration system so anything other than water was captured. Just felt the need to put that out. Lol
The lack of videos sucks! Hope everything is all good with the family. I get worried at times
Dad needs to get behind the camera more often!!! He did an awesome job!!!
Your dad should have the camera more. He was a natural at it
Nate V1 did great with the camera
Wow major congrats to your dad picking up the camera
Dad did awesome with the camera , you should hand it to him more often !!!!
Uncle did a great job holding the camera
I really can't believe you replied me
I've done a fair bit of concrete demolition. One thing I've learned is you can almost never have a breaker that's "too big" and the same goes for the excavator. If they're too small, it takes forever and a day to finish a job.
Just like you can never have too much horsepower. You never hear a farmer say "I wish this tractor had a few less horses"
we need a Millennial Fathers channel now
Am I the only one who likes the video before I watch it because I know it's going to be good😊
More of Mr. Millenial Farmer Senior Please!
Great seeing your dad helping out with filming while you’re gone!
Thank goodness for the rain!
Hi 👋 Zach Johnson.
Dad, did a great job!!
That is gonna be a big bin. Great job on mowing the cottonwood trees down.
Need more cameos from your old man, he's a natural
I think I can speak for the Millennial family when I say we appreciate your sacrifices
The Moline needs a cape because he just came to the rescue.
Got the old man to jump on the camera!!! hahaha
OMG THE DAD IS AWESOME! My goodness I was not expecting that. How awesome is this?! Kudos, pops! Who thinks he should run the camera more often???
That shot of the truck defecating was moving.
Hell I was walking out to my barn the other day and to my surprise I found one of your cameras. LOL
I liked it when dad took over.🙂
The lady running the crane is Mrs Master Crane operator Randy’s wife. She makes $15 an hour more than he does.
Your dad is so awesome. He needs to film more
Oh, my! The sacrifices a Millennial UA-camr makes just for his subscribers. I'm sure we don't really appreciate how hard you have it, and the extremes you endure just for us! 😲😁
But we do understand your humor, because that's us, too. 😉
Dad did a great job, well done!!
Thank you for sacrificing your time in the air conditioning. That gravel looks kind of like dirt. Lol
Well done Zach fixings those breakdowns . You have to be pretty good in order to fix those equipments. Your dad did a good job with the camera.👍❤️🇨🇦
I hope they put the millennial farmer map in FS 22❤
Ur dad did a great job. I liked his part :) great sense for camera angles
I love dad cam and maybe next time we can get a Jim cam 😅
I am glad your Dad grab the camera. It was great to hear him.
Heck ya dads got the camera!!!
loved it when dad told the operator was off by a sixteenth of a inch. 🤣
Hi
We need a dad cam for harvest time!
Yessssssss The Bat Mower!!!!!!!!!
On the brite side, at least the grain cart didn't break during harvest. Good job Nate 👍👏👍👏
It was good to see #4 pick up the camera and show us what was happening while you were out galavanting around. 😂
Woooooooh!!! DadCam!!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Love the ol boy...Awesome!!!
Whoa! Five years and I finally got a Nate cam
Tell your dad he did a great job manning the camera while you were gone!!
Anna and Didge cam, that would be interesting
love the DAD cam. how about some crush tar around the shed!?🚜👍
We DEFINITELY need more Nate! 😂
Better be a diamond and not a gold
I’d love to know you better, that’s only If you don’t mind cos you seems to be a nice and outspoken person
My top three emojis for Zach’s videos
🤦🏼♂️😂😂
I have had simply safe in the past! They are amazing
Your dad did awsome way to go😊😊😊
I love your content. Simply safe can be glad they have you.
The Moline is always my favorite tractor to see on your channel. Keep up the great videos.
Often when a supplier is out of a part that means a lot of them have been failing.
Enjoyed the Grampa cam, should utilize him more often!!
Nate did it! He really did it!
Yes!!!!!! At last we have Nate 1.0 at the helm for a few updates!
Yes I’m from OSHA and was wondering if you could show the video of hooking the crane to the big tank?
Just kidding I’m not from OSHA. Still like seeing true Americans getting shit done.
Thanks for being a farmer and growing our food. Nothing but respect! God bless you!
