Watching the start of this video, I was wondering why the Crane Jibs were not in the crutches but you lowered them before you got to Sea. A Giant of a Vessel, I marvel at it.
These big vessels have a tidalwindow(prefer slack water on river). There where still some jobs to be done with these cranes, like retrieving yokohamma fenders to deck. If we had to wait on that we would have missed the window.
I don't know what rating that rid crawler crane is on the deck. From the number of counter weights on it's back I'm guessing it's no lightweight. It looks so small on the deck of this ship.

I don't know what he can lift, but it's not a small one. But compared whit the crane's on the back he looks indeed a bit tiny
