i wish there was more design specifications viewable , like what type of slew bearing is in it , would it be captive roller bearing or a ring roller style ? and what powers the winches ? diesel electric with electric drives everywhere or diesel hydraulic ?
Those things are BIG.You have no idea just how big they are, until you actually see them. The video just cannot show you, even seeing people, working, can only tell you its big.
Brings back memories of building kingfisher and marlin platforms in bass straight working for Ingram contractors when they were building platforms in the late 1960’s
Hi Paul - can we please touch base to discuss the possibility to use some of this video footage in an online Offshore Lifting and Hoisting Training Program?
The capital invested in equipment and support vessels for offshore oil/gas drilling/extraction is astounding. Good video, except for the music. The natural sounds of the sea and wind would be much better.
and another question . how is the energy expressed and what specification is used to determine when its reached its design driven depth ? 3 years ... no answer . lol
@@markvanderknoop131 I would prefer that it runs coal cause I don't give a shit about the green movement and all their fucked up proposals. My goal is to increase my carbon footprint as much as possible
awesome video

For a world that wants and needs to go green we sure are building a lot of stuff to support the oil and gas industry
It's also used to dismantle platforms and install offshore sub stations for windmill farms....
They are making billions, why would they stop? Its the little people that are being blamed for not being green. We are paying either way.
this is hollandse kust wind farm, try again...
If it makes you feel better it runs LNG

This ship I working many time
Why the horrible music?? Best of luck!!
