Here's the funny thing about Wes Anderson movies. You will watch his latest and come away thinking, masterpiece. Then you see his next and think exactly the same, but it's somehow different, as if he hadn't created a masterpiece before but the new one is a masterpiece on some unique level. I love his films so much, and the GBH was further proof of his immense gift.
stuttering is usually a sign that a person's brain is moving faster than they are talking. He's obviously a brilliant guy, so that's probably why he says "um" so much.
When I went to the movie, I didn't know who is the film director (and I've never heard about Wes Anderson before). So I thought the film director is European, cause the spirit of old Europe was catched very accurately and I was sure that American director can't create so colourable & non-vulgar film about Europe (no offence). Why am I writing this? I just want to say thanks to Wes, I'm his big fan now and I find all his films as masterpiece! He's unbelievably talented and smart, I wish him the best!
Honestly, same. I didn't know who Wes was and it's a blessing that I watched this movie because now I can die in peace knowing that I have seen his movies. Wes's style has also been an inspiration for my own aesthetic and he inspired one of my projects!
I had not known that it was filmed in Görlitz! And even more surprsiing is that Wes pronounces it correctly! I am even more pleased now that I have all of his films.
This was an AMAZING movie! Wes Anderson is one of my three amazing inspirations alongside Quentin Tarantino and Woody Allen. I admire them and aspire to inspire people like they inspire me.
QuestenEnjoysLife I love their work, but my favourite by them has to be the big lebowski. It was made the year I was born!:) And what do you think of my selection of directors?
OMG, what luck to have found someone so much like myself! I too enjoy a bit of tarantino magic with an occasional wes anderson to boot! They are definitely in my top 10 redefining directors, oh and who could forget martin scorsece! :)
Natalie Knipse Taratino, the Coen bros, Wes Anderson. I need to see more Woody Allen besides Annie Hall, though I do love that movie. Not familiar with Martin Scorsece. Still have a lot of directors to get familiar with. :)
It was a great film, I cant wait to get it on DVD. To me, the location reminded me a lot of Quebec City and Le Château Frontenac. If you have ever been to Quebec in the winter, it looks just like this movie heheh.
i feel that if wes anderson dressed any different than wes anderson does it would be extremely disappointing imagine if he dressed in a white t-shirt, jeans and a baseball cap 😔
He's from Houston. Houston is not quite like the rest of Texas. I grew up there, although I was born in Europe and live in Europe now. I was honestly not surprised when I heard he was from Houston. It's a very dreary city, built on a swamp basically. I think that kind of environment has a tendency to create people who will overcompensate creatively if they are lucky enough to be exposed to other countries. It's by no means a terrible city, but I remember it being quite boring, and so it's likely that if you're of a creative temperament this will further push you towards some sort of imaginary world that you will keep building on. But I don't want to make any assumptions about Wes Anderson's life or motivations, I'm more relaying what I experienced as I'm now an artist too (of a much lesser caliber!!)
@@MrMadalien Wow, you described it so correctly! I'm not from Houston but from similar city. And I feel the same thing about how boring it's here to live so I created an imagined world in my head. If not this "world" I'd be in depression...
I have been producing content for my channel for some time, and just recently I managed to create a short film, which is one of my main passions. If someone is interested in seeing it along with other content I make, you can do so by checking out my channel. There are more short films to come.
Just watch your new movie The Grand Budapest Hotel" My question to you is why so many Skull and bones, illuminati references room 133 a skull and bones mark, "Boy with apple" he is holding the apple with his thumb and index finger and the other fingers splayed out to form the 666, on and on and on. How does it feel to make propaganda NWO films. Is it worth the money, the fame, and the perceived freedom that you think it gives you. How do you sleep at night knowing you create trash like this. you are one of many who have sold their soul to something that does not care, or have empathy for anything but hate, misery, and death when this evil comes to past you and your kind will be on the list of crimes against humanity.
I love the movie but I miss a balance in the film. What I mean is, there is a need to have MORE and more multi dimensional female characters in the film. This is why the film is good but not great...not enough female characters. Wes Anderson try a female protagonist next time.
i completely agree, i remember seeing the wonderful poster and counting the unbalanced ratio. even my dearest Tilda didn't have much screen time, although she was still a central character. regardless i loved the film it is one of his best. and i agree with roloug95, Anderson does do everything for a reason.. i just can't figure out why..
I love you, Wes. Thank you for creating art that speaks to my soul.
French Dispatch 2020!
Amen 🙏
Oh exactly
Right.

YES. THIS.
Waiting for Asteroid City and the next Roald Dahl adaptation. Double release.
even his clothes are meticulously colour schemed
of course!!
He looks like Mr. Fox
I counted 36 "um"s. Anderson's eye for meticulous detail in his films is what makes him one of the best.

Wait until you hear Robert Eggers talk lol
WES IS THE MAN
Wes Anderson and Christopher Nolan are my favourite film makers, love everything they do
***** ?
Y no podian ser mas diferentes
thier my 1st and 3rd the malinium director (w/ dave fincher in between)
Brodie Rule They're both definitely among the greatest today, but Kubrick, the primary influence on both, is my all-time favorite.
I agree
This movie is a masterpiece

Absolute creative genius. So much work goes into getting this just right!!! Perfection
I had not known that it was filmed in Görlitz! And even more surprsiing is that Wes pronounces it correctly!

radhika doraisingam that is awesome!! it's hard to find people who have a similar taste in film as I do!!:)

I love him for making such wonderful movies
One of the greats films I've ever seen.
My favorite movie, thank you Wes for creating such unique films!
I just realized wes Anderson is my favorite director ever
How does Beck know so much about The Grand Budapest story??
you fucker. Now everytime i see a picture of Wes is Beck who comes to my mind
I always thought that Beck looks like Wes Anderson
Wow, I never saw the resemblance until you brought it up
BECK AS IN VICTORIOUS? WHAT?
BECK AS IN AS I GOT TWO TURNTABLES AND A MICROPHONE?
It was a great film, I cant wait to get it on DVD. To me, the location reminded me a lot of Quebec City and Le Château Frontenac. If you have ever been to Quebec in the winter, it looks just like this movie heheh.
Omg his pronunciation is just perfect. English is my second language and I understood everything!! ✨✨✨
Great movie
everyday i love him more and more
*LOVE HIS MOVIES!!!*
Wes Anderson is a genius
He's so talented and fashionable. 💯
I really like how out there Wes Anderson is but is very switched on and a detailed director.
Wes Anderson , David Fincher & Christopher Nolan are the top
I always thought he was French for some reason, probably the French influence in his films, but I never thought of him having an American accent.
Love his movies they are beautiful, and convey so much emotion. Pure works of art 😌👌
Oh, how can people say Wes Anderson's not a beautiful man? My God I'd give away everything for him ❤
Is it just me or does he speak just like all the characters in his movie do
You're not to bright, are u?
Thanks for this MOVIES Coming Soon
i find him so handsome
I always thought that Ralph's name was pronounced how it was spelled.
i feel that if wes anderson dressed any different than wes anderson does it would be extremely disappointing imagine if he dressed in a white t-shirt, jeans and a baseball cap 😔
Dang he says "Um" just as much as Jeff Goldblum who stars in the movie.
Stars is a bit of a stretch, closer to a cameo really.
he starts this story about the getting the idea for the movie's story with "some years ago"
LOL
I really looking up you😍👏
in this interview he did a lot better than most his past interviews. in the past he always stutter due to his mind go faster than his mouth.
Wes Anderson is wonderful... but he is so awkward whenever he like. speaks...
what were you expacting from him?!
Saikiran Bitla ok wtf does that have to do with enything?

I don’t think he really explains his movies through words but he lets his work do the talking and how we think about it.
How is Anderson a Texan????
Because not everyone in Texas... Or anywhere else... is the same?
