- The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. Although it consists of a collection of sixty-six writings by multiple authors spanning hundreds of years, it is one book with one message of salvation. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals how God saves sinners through His one and only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. In this session, Dr. Steven Lawson expounds upon how the promise of redemption given throughout the Old Testament is fulfilled in Christ.

Thank you Heavenly Father for raising up bold, biblically insightful men of God like Steve Lawson 🙏
This is March 2024, and I am just now beginning to listen to Dr. Lawson preach. What a blessing! God give us more Bible preachers like him, John MacArthur, Skip Heitzig, and a few others.
This is a beautiful message especially for the Jewish people who refuse to believe that Jesus is the Messiah which can be seen so clearly in the old testatament. Lord please open a door for this sermon to reach the Jewish community. Amen
Indeed. Their big problem with Jesus as the Messiah is that he suffered and died. But Paul though explained in Rom.11 that the remnant Jews will be saved eventually. Quote Rom. 11:25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written…unquote. the “All” in verse referred to the elect.
You will be happy to know that there is a wonderful Messianic Jewish pastor in Jerusalem -- named MENO KALISHER, of the "Jerusalem Assembly. House of Redemption" church. He preaches this way, too. 💜
God has blinded their eyes for now
My first sermon by this man of God. Led here by the Wretched channel. Wow! You can really preach Jesus Christ. I am so excited to check out your other sermons. Preach brother!!!
The Invisible War by Steve Lawson, my favorite of all time

Natural man can't understand the things of God, but the spiritual man can. Thank God I'm saved by His grace. I could understand the preaching.
Praise the Lord. All glory to Jesus!
Oh that every sermon was as anointed and as honouring to Christ about His deity, Lordship and supremacy in all things! Wonderful God, wonderful Savior., Wonderful sermon
Steve Lawson thank you for preaching so clearly, so well, the magnificence of our Lord!
Ive been collecting a short list of reliable teachers of the Biblical Truth for seven years now, and Steven Lawson rises among the top tier. And this sermon goes in my playlist of sermons that teach the Gospel plainly an fully for those who need to hear it.
Can I get a link to your playlist? Please 😇
@@PortCanon Based on Steven Lawson making the list, just go to G3 Conference channel and stick with Ligonier channel too. Although that limits it to reformed preachers (which you may want to do).
scottspeig - The older I get the more reformed I become. More Power to ya. 💪🏼 🕊
@@PortCanon I'm on the fence (coming from Charasmatic background birthed from the Vineyard movement & John Wimber). Just need to find a sensible balanced overview before I'll commit to the Doctrines of Grace.
Currently, the preacher that connects me to scripture the most is Alistair Begg at Truth for Life. The current 1 Samuel series has me quite afflicted from my comfortable life! :)
Peter masters. Add that man to your list
Amen! Great biblical message. Thanks, Dr. Lawson.
Pastor Steve Lawson is a phenomenal child of God and an awesome preacher! Thank you dearest Lord for men who stay true to your word by the power of the Holy Spirit. We love your preachers dearest Lord! We pray for all of them. In Jesus name amen 🤍✝️
The gospel call at the end was so much better than most pastors who just say "if you've never accepted Jesus, then pray this prayer". He actually explained in short why people should call upon Jesus
Thanks for sharing Christ Jesus with me and others who receives
Love Lawson’s enthusiasm in his preaching excellent sermon !
SO exciting to hear of Jesus told of in SO many ways & SO many places in Scripture! At 60 years old I am SO glad to learn of ALL these things & pass them on!!!
What a message, so bless to hear, glory to God in the highest
Because the message is all about the Lord Jesus Christ,
Therefore it should be
"The Best of all the Best"
Indeed, in each of Steve Lawson’s preaching you can hear the sincerity and conviction of a true man of God. I love to listen to the 3 of them, including the now departed RC Sproul and still standing venerable expositor John Macarthur and they have distinct styles that you don’t need actually other preacher to teach you God’s word. Its satisfying to hear how the written word of God is preached with conviction and rightly divided🙏😇😍
Anyone experiencing demonic attack listening to this??? The demons fear this message! Praise the lord!!!! Hell shacking sermon praise the lord!!!!
My heart burns
WOOW Steve Lawson .......Glory to God
I love this sermon!
Me too
Beautiful message!!

Now I feel it,now I understand. To feel sorrow for Jesus is my love
Exactly!
Wonderful sermon Steven has lifted up the Lord in all his Glory and that’s where He should be.Sad to say man is taking the glory for themselves. We need more true men of God who can bring the Gospel to a dying world without compromising the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ..
My subscriptions feed just filled up with about 15 hours of sermons from Ligoner...so I'll be busy for awhile...
It's 5 years later, did you get through them yet?
NO KIDDING!- I don't think my phone has the internal capacity!
Thank You Lord!!!! Very powerful explanation!! I am so blessed..! Thank You Jesus..! Thank you Dr. Lawson. Praise God..!🙏🙏🙏
Wow God is working through Stephen this is my first sermon by him I’m 15min and my socks are blown off wow this was a great sermon
Exactly!
Christ and the salvation message is the subject of the Bible.
I heard one Messianic Jew that came to know Christ not through the New Testament, but through the Scriptures of the Old Testament.
Love this faithful preacher of the Word! Thank you Dr. Lawson!
This is one long piece of poetry.
Wow! I'm in awe of the work of the Holy Spirit through this MOG! Shoooooo! Glory be to Jesus the Christ.
Boom! Jesus went through unspeakable agony for us-what a Savior!
The gospel is the comprehensive message of grace
Beautiful sermon ❤️

Amen Brother Steve. Amen real biblical preaching 💯
Great message. I had a teacher that use 2 say you should be able 2 share the gospel using the Old Testament only.
Another awesome message! We are blessed again! Thank you, Dr MacArthur. You are indeed an amazing inspiration!

👏🙌👏 Hallujah!!! Jesus is Lord!!!

Good subject...Old Testament Christianity.
Truth!!
This is the TRUE GOSPEL
Steve is a disciple...of 2023.
If by grace then not of works, otherwise grace is no mpre grace and works are no more works
Believing is receiving.
Why not begin with Abel and Cain? Abel's offering was acceptable because, knowing God required a blood sacrifice, he offered a lamb. The fruits of our labor can never be enough. That's why Cain's offering of a sheaf of wheat was rejected. Even Genesis points to Christ.
amen
🐐
Meanwhile, Andy Stanley says believers should unhitch from the Old Testament.
For Andy to actually say that.....He doesn't see Clearly...SPIRITUALLY!!
👌🏻 👌🏻
Wonderful and powerful solid teaching!! How can I get the transcript of this great teaching ?🙏❤️🙏
Which chapter and verse in the Bible introduced Jesus Christ?
-Genesis 1:1. *Bereshit Bara Elohim (singular Eloah) et hashamayim ve'et ha'aretz* (In the beginning _GODs_ created the heaven and the earth)
I believe in Jesus Christ as the word of God and the message and sacrifice he made for the World was to show God's Love and Sacrifice for US ALLand that we may follow the Law GODs Law.
DONT UNDERESTEMATE THE ONLY GOD CREATOR OF ALL THINGS IN HEAVEN AND EARTH
How can a divine entity (Christ) make a sacrifice that is based on death (ceasing to exist) when, by definition, He cannot die?
We as Christians must associate the sacrifices in the old testament as reference to Jesus or all is lost. Where in the old testament does it say that the Christ will save Israel from it's oppressors?
Isaiah 53
Moses announced ten commandments and Jesus repeated them
Don’t be humble Steve-o. You are the greatest expositor of all time. You are better than Jesus. God bless you.
Well he is better than you Jezebel 😅😅😅😅
Bar jesus you meant 😅
This sermon is exhibit A why pastors like Andy Stanley are so dangerous to think the OT is outdated and needs to be separated from the NT. He thinks he knows more than Christ himself. He is blind and ignorant and needs enlightening like these men on the road to Emmaus. I pray his eyes will be opened like theirs as well.
Cute
"All scripture" is taking it too far. We dont know which books he showed them. We will end up finding christ in places he is not, like book of Esther
One of the better contemporary preachers. Always solid on the sovereignty of God in salvation but He ended this sermon bordering on Arminianism. Still, the message was good.
Why? Man has a responsibilty, he has a choice. Both are true God is sovereign and man is accountable
To JJ. Josh-there is a huge difference between responsibility and free choice.
He has said he'd prefer people to be Arminian than hyper-calvanist, as at least the arminian evangelises, but he is very strong on the sovereignty of God. He's even written a book (Doctrines of Grace) and is currently going through a bible study in Romans (See OnePassionMinistries on UA-cam). One of the best Reformed Preachers today in my opinion.
Bordering on preaching the gospel and calling sinners to repent and believe the gospel. Your post is iconic for reformers calling everyone else a heretic.
Sow the seed, and keep sowing so that more people will be born new with imperishable seed through trust in the “Seed”
Deny myself?
It means to deny your human desires and to give your body and mind to Christ, this is called sanctification and its something that happens after you are saved by relying completely in Jesus Christ's sacrifice.
Jesus is the Son, he’s NOT the Father!!
he did not state Jesus christ God said throughout the old testament that God is I am and no other God than me and yes the new Testament has Jesus all over but he is not mentioned from the beginning God is the beginning and the End
Jesus is God.
@@eduardogallegos4167 jesus said He is God amen!
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Why not worship YHVH? Worship the creator and not the created.
keenanboy3000 YHVH and Jesus are one and the same. God manifested in the like of man to die for our sins.
He who has the son has everlasting life. Jehovah, Jesus Christ, Holy Ghost are one .... John 3:14-21, John 10:30, John 14:8-9, John 16:7
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Jesus was never created, Jesus is and always was and always will be, Yes it all about Jesus.
Blasphemy blasphemy blasphemy
@@stevesoares9249 the pharisee called jesus a demon do you know why??? They wanted to kill him and you are too.
I'm sorry to say, but the book you're reading is not Jesus Christ. That text has errors and contradictions that anyone can see for themselves. You need a King James Bible, that my friend is the Word of God, and that is our Lord and Saviour.
The KJV has it's own translation errors though, like any translation will.
@@HearGodsWord Hence the word "version," as in KJVersion.
Anyone who preaches from the pulpit must be familiar with the original languages to combat translational errors.
@@robertdesantis6205 these fake cant be bother to be a historian.😔
How can the bible be the inerrant word of God when the Jesus infancy narratives of Matthew 2 and Luke 2 are 2 different stories? This is just 1 of of many examples.
Hi Tod, A great resource to get a clear concise answers to your questions...this one and the others you mention can be found at GTY.ORG. If you are serious about Heaven and Hell you will find answers there. Go to all the verses you think are contradictions and listen to teaching on those. Another good resource is GotQuestions.org. Hope to see you in Heaven man. Place your faith in Jesus Christ... the only hope you have.
Hi Tod! That's a great question. It seems you're thinking about the issues and trying to grasp what we (Christians) believe when we call the Bible the inerrant word of God. If you're truly seeking a good response to your question, I'd like to refer you to an article on the website called GotQuestions .org . They answer all sorts of great questions, like your own, in a clear and concise manner. The specific article that deals with your question can be found by searching "infancy narratives". Your answer can be found under the article titled "Do the narratives of Jesus’ birth contradict each other?"
I hope you will find this article answers your question, and again, I am really glad to see someone on UA-cam seeking out real answers to tough questions! Have a great day!
Cliff, Thanks for your response. I must say you're much more kind than some who reply. Certain Christians seem to take offense when you imply contradictions in scripture. I will check this out. Before I've had similar places referred to me to answer the contradictions. The problem they have, is when you research the history, Luke is specifically talking about the Census of Quirinius in 6 CE because that's when Judea became a Roman Province.
Luke claims Jesus was born in 6 CE/they traveled from their home in Nazareth to Judea for the census/ Jesus was born in Bethlehem/ After Mary went through the Rites of Purification, 42 days later, they returned to Nazareth.
Roman records make no mention of having it's subjects returning to the homes of their ancestors from 1000 years prior. They didn't care where their ancestors were from because censuses were for tax purposes.
That was a way for Luke's author to have Jesus born in Bethlehem to fulfill prophecy.
Then, Galilee was a silent kingdom, meaning it was neither administered nor directly taxed by Rome, so Joseph wouldn't have been required to go to Judea in the first place.
In Matthew, Jesus would've had to have been born before the death of Herod in 4 BCE. Matthew has the family residing in Judea/ Jesus is born in Bethlehem/ They flee to Egypt to escape Herod's killing of the newborns/ they don't return to Judea until after Herod's death/ on their way back home to Judea, they learn Archelaus, Herod's son, is ruling Judea so they withdrew to Galilee and settle in Nazareth.
There's at least a ten year discrepancy and more like a 15 years discrepancy for when Jesus was born between these two gospels.
