You know what I loved, the fact that your thoughts weren’t always one sided in this game. Of course there’s the evil shit that the cult did that made you hate them, that made you want to kill them. Then there were moments when they sounded truly convincing. That their end goal was understandable. That’s what’s haunting. You come into the game believing you won’t believe anything the cult says but the main characters managed to almost convince you. Greg Byrn did a fantastic job as the father, the charisma, the madness, even the love of his people. I went through the whole game debating back and forth if I was fighting on the right side.
believe me, you were fighting for the right side. while the cult makes convincing points that make me think about today's world in real life, and they have good intentions, they did everything in the worst way they could've done it. john seed was literally marking sins onto people and then stripping their flesh from their bones and was stealing land, food, and weapons and such. faith was drugging people, turning them into mindless slaves and poisoning animals and the land, and jacob was literally killing those that were weak, and brainwashing those that were strong in some sick way to build an army. if they wanted to prepare for the end of the world, they were doing it in the worst way possible. if they really wanted to help, they wouldn't have hurt anyone, they would've bought weapons, land, and food legally, they would've tried to appeal to the better nature of people. they would make their message heard. they would end up saving a ton of people, and helped prepare people for a collapse. but they didn't and although they don't want to admit it, they were killing more people than they saved. so yeah, you were on the right side, definitely.
Oh for sure, but I still love how the game pulled you in between both sides, they really made the bad guys, or Joseph at least, very charismatic, able to convince even the heartiest of people, who consider cults to be crazy, it was a phenomenal performance, and he's probably one of my top video game antagonists.

Faith came from a shitty background if she is to be believed. John seed was abused by his mormon parents to confess his sins and thus had to show himself in a certain light and became a lawyer and the face of the cult. Jacob suffered in the war and had to resort to cannibalism to survive.

What I love about this soundtrack is how each track is tailored to a character, shown by the outline on the song’s cover. This is one of the best games I ever played and the music was also badass.
Came back to Far Cry 5 six months later. I'm not disappointed. I loved Into the Flames, but the choir version of songs is just insane.
Ya know the music in this game was great all over. Not just the music itself, but where it was used. Soundtracking the missions for the first time in a far cry title was brilliant. Didnt even know i wanted it til i had it. When that bluesy acoustic rock kicked off on the first open world mission it transformed the game into the best thing ive ever played by ubi.
Over 2 years later & I'm still "religiously" listening to this soundtrack. Although quite manipulatively horrific at times, It is truly beautiful (yeah, that was a bad pun :P )
I enjoy every song, it’s very powerful and sometimes inspiring music.
Here I am 5 years later still listening lol
This is the definition of soul touching music
This game and its OST are criminally underrated.
@shawntipton5078 Its well loved don't get me wrong but not nearly enough. Personal opinion though. You can tell there was a lot of love put into this game which is rare for ubisoft even in that time.
Really good game with some good music in it 😃
Far cry is the best singleplayer shooter there is since the 3rd one 😍
even though it's not supposed to be a shooter lol
This song makes me cry every time i hear
Such a haunting track, this gives me goosebumps. Great soundtrack to this game.
The Far Cry franchise always had strong personality villains. The developers should really be cheered for that. GG Ubisoft for both Far Cry and Assassin's Creed series you've made for us!
This is hands down my favorite song from the Far Cry 5 Soundtrack
Well this song is getting a little bit too accurate
Word!
Every day I listen to it and I start to think what’s happening is a kind of end to our society....at least here in Europe , I don’t know where you’re from....everything closed no more school no more work....I never thought this could happen.
@@marshall55588 its the end of western civilization
tfw your profile pic actually describes how I feel when I realize the song is getting too accurate
Bruh that profile pic matches perfectly
this song is getting more and more relevant by the day
Got me goose bumps every single time
This is such an eerie haunting track during the credits, after the world has ended. Makes the canon ending hit even harder.
Anybody else here because the song suits the current context concerning the Covid-19 pretty well?
///Big fan from Thailand
...used to live in Thailand...
my theme song for the next 4+ years..
Now it hits hard
Hitting hard in 2021
My god, this game's choir music is amazing.
Hits different in Nov. 2020
It's really nice that they have 3 versions of the soundtrack, should be more common :)
This song is honestly one of the best music in any video games I have played.
That moment when music gets more relevant
The father was right all along...
We fought the wrong enemy

We didn’t we killed satans horde in 1945 and we can again. The US used to be gods country but it’s been infiltrated it’s up to us to take it back
@@crimson_scum7129 nothing Godly about this nation any longer.
@@newtonia-uo4889 Its our duty as good conservative Christians to take back our country. Im not going to fold and join fascists just because Libs are in control. Both are stupid and should be dealt with.
@@crimson_scum7129 and who are the fascists?
that moment when Ubisoft makes their villains more believable and actually more beneficial to the world than the actual protagonist we get to play as xDD
Love the song father you are praised
Lead me to the bliss

Eww, a weeaboo^^
Well, I've never heard anything so profound but true. I played it all the way through, but this song didn't stick out 'til now.
They really nailed the Protestant Evangelical feel for the music. I have listened to countless such songs in the past growing up and this song freaking nails it!
Honestly, this soundtrack is the best thing to come out of the Far Cry franchise in recent years.
Oh lord the great collapse, that part is my favorite part. When that part of the song played during the game I was completely shocked. They made great music that go even better with the game.
June 2020 is way different than March 2020
One of the best songs in a game ever.
Damn cultists they might be insane and the most oblivious people. But they are the damn best singers.
Probably the best choir singers ever
Hu Hum when you have faith god will grant you great voices
Jelly fish thank you brother
you wanna know the scary part? they sing about what the world is on the brink of being
The guy who wrote FarCry5 said the exact same thing..
Don't worry, repent.
It's not too late.
Muh evil capitalism
and sadly to say this, but it is actually happening in reality
Tommy Angelo Greed is innate. There will be no escaping it, as nature created us to follow it always. Good luck eliminating it, when it is in essence the most natural thing humans have ever followed.
Tommy Angelo because communist or socialist revolutions went so well in the past and only ruins the country and kills millions of people
Man, I'm glad I bought this game for the music alone. Never would've heard any of these tracks otherwise.
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Isa. 5:20)
This is actually quite beautiful! Thanks
The cutscene this played was badass
“When the LORD your GOD brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives before you many nations, then you must destroy them totally! Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy!” - Deuteronomy 7: 1-2
Just heard this for the first time this morning. Beautiful.
These are such bangers...
