i'm on my third play through and decided to mix it up. i will rescue none of the characters and capture none of the outposts. instead i will save a random civilian, have them man the gun in one of the pick-ups and just drive around Hope county F----ing up peggy patrols and rescuing random people. so far i have been doing random drive by shootings on cultists and leaving their hostages still cuffed on the side of the road. it's fun to imagine things from their perspective. "OMG they are going to kill me" >desert rally truck with a machine gun mounted to the roof comes screeching to a halt next to us >brief but tense moment later the driver opens up with an SMG and the lady in the back uses a .50cal to gun down my captors >truck screeches tires as it takes off "well....now what?"
Ubisoft went wayyy out of their way to make the music for this game absolutely incredible. Makes it more than a game. I was honestly sad once I finished the game. Made you get into this game more than any other. Just amazing.

The real beuty of this game is that when you really understand the story and its characters.. You'll probably starts to feel that you want to join the bad side. You can somehow understand it and it will make you feel that you belong there. After some time you no longer feel like the good guy, you never was neither. You are trying to stop and destroy something made someone by rules of humanity. But if you start to understand Joseph, it will make you feel that you want to take his hand and allow him to bless you, free you from everything and explore something you were told to destroy. This game really have a good point of humanity and rules in this world. I know that it's just a game, but.. This one feels different, this one is trying to teach you something and if you let it to do it. You will explore something untold.

It's really hard to believe that this game will be turning 6 in March of 2024. I remember going to Gamestop to pick up my pre order during the midnight (9pm pacific) release at Gamestop... Went home and was immediately captivated in the story/characters and environment. I've played Far Cry since Far Cry 2 back in 08', and my favorites were always fc2 and 3, but FC5 is def my favorite now. The cult music is one thing that really made it my favorite, the devs really spent a lot of time and put effort into these songs... I absolutely loved the open world freedom as well as I was able to do missions more at my own pace rather than in a linear sense, reminded me of FC2. This was def the best game Ubisoft has made in many years and I highly doubt they will ever top it tbh.
The funny thing is the cult turns out to be correct about the imminent doomsday and they end up being the good guys in the post-apocalypse pseudo-sequel
