Next Friday, the A (Blue) Line will officially take over the soon-to-be former L (Gold) Line's Foothill section between Union Station and ASU/Citrus College in Azusa, as the brand-new Regional Connector and its three new stops (Grand Avenue Arts/Bunker Hill, Historic Broadway and the newly moved underground Little Tokyo/Arts District) opens for revenue service. With that, the 33-year old A Line will become the longest light rail line, not only in Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority's 30-year history, but the longest in the world, thus surpassing Belgium's 42-mile (68 km) Coast Tram. I hope the Guinness World Records takes notice of this.
@@Optimusjack How about a video with the last L Line trains leaving Union Station or Pico/Aliso as a fractured like permanently next Thursday? That would be so great.
@@Optimusjack Perhaps you misunderstood me. I was talking about the section shut down between Pico/Aliso and Union Station with the at-grade Little Tokyo closed permanently due to the Regional Connector and the stop moved underground.
that is the worst train i been on seems when i get on it going to downtown Los Angeles its full of gang members coming from Long Beach & Compton & Watts one day some was going to have a fight with another gang member. on Dec 16, 2021 a lady got hit by the train i supposed trying to kill herself the train could not stop so it hit her and she was under the train the fire department had to get her from under the train and we had to be escorted off the train to walk to where we was going ..
@@comfeefort not trying to scare people off. its just when i ride it i have seen stuff and you never know if those guys have guns and the police never do nothing ..

@@bryan-ej8mn Lol.. I feel you on that. They want to complete with our trains in NYC MTA NYC Transit.. I will say.. That y'all LA Metro is improving and getting better.

Yes, and I plan on doing a video on it, and the new Expo line extension as well. I’m excited.

@@Optimusjack Where the LA Metro's been running a bus bridge between those two stops.
They need to set up the signals so that they can just go forward.
Do u just get on? Or u got to pay?
At the time I did this video, yes. You could just get on. But on January 10th (which is Monday) they’re gonna start charging again.
I haven't been on the blue and red line since like 1 to 2 years
