Riding The Metro Green (C) Line To Redondo Beach Station For The Last Time!!!!
Today (November 2nd) was the final day that the LA Metro Green (C) Line will end its trip at Redondo Beach Station. Starting tomorrow, (November 3rd) it will end its route at the brand new Aviation/Century station. The K line will take over the former Green line stations Mariposa, El Segundo, Douglas, and Redondo Beach. I decided to ride the Green Line to Redondo Beach one final time. 🚊 #losangeles #train #travel

Dynamax Raids Are Here!!!

A quick video of one of my first Dynamax Raids in Pokémon Go. (Technically second). I was still learning the ropes when this battle took place but now, I pretty much understand it all now. I’m hoping that I eventually get every available Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon now and in the future as a 3 star.

Now that school has started back, Knotts Berry Farm looks like an actual ghost town during the week. If you can come during the week, come. Because it’s the best time to do so. No crowds, no waiting and best of all, no long lines for the rides.

LA Metro Regional Connector | 3 New Rail Stations in Downtown LA@losangelesmetro
Переглядів 4,2 тис.Рік тому
On June 16th, 2023, LA Metro opened up its “Regional Connector” along with 3 brand new rail stations in the Downtown LA area. Those stations (Grand Ave/Bunker Hill, Historic Broadway, Little Tokyo/Arts District) will add convenience while serving thousands of passengers a day. I was late with this video, but better late than never! 😀 #losangeles #travel #train

On December 10, 2021, my grandmother passed away in the early morning hours. I was in Vegas at this time, but found out the news as soon as it happened. The first person you see here is my dad and his reaction. Then the rest of my family. The last group of people are a few of my friends. All of this was captured on my Blink camera. The clips were scrambled because my camera didn’t catch/record ...

Won't be long before the homeless trash this station as well.
Finally LAX gets something nearly as good as SFO has had since 2003. That's how long SFO has had BART trains right to the terminal - about a 2 minute walk from the United International check in area.
How do you get from the new station to LAX?
Great, more homeless shelter…
This station was complete 2ys ago just sat bc metro wanted more money
So, directly to LAX now?….…
Not exactly
I’m really enjoying the faux porno sound track… It sends this video into surrealistic superstardom…
once again, the folks in the head office who obviously don't ride the trains. commuters and riders have been using it with the old configuration for years and now have to make a transfer for one station on an unfinished line? no matter finished or not, they just need to have a train run on the tracks in the old configuration so that those on the redondo beach segment can use the line the same way they have done for the last couple of decades. how stupid can be metro board be?????????
Nice video. My only question to Metro: why LA Metro doesn't like to provide more shade covering in their structures is beyond me. LA sun can be brutal, especially when you're waiting at a stop. Seating and shade are two things I would like to see more of in transportation stops all around LA.
Easy answer, the people who design and run the system don’t use public transportation.
Hostile infrastructure to disincentivise people from chilling in the shade I'm guessing. I wish that wasn't the case because I wish that bus stops also had better benches and covering like those in other cities but alas this is the state of things here.
🤔📣LET'S DO IT AGAIN MAYOR!🤷🏼💙LA🫶🏼 🥰
😮😮😮😮😮😮
I remember this being under construction in middle school. I am in my mid 40s now.
Quick! Grab some video before the homeless move in and take a dump and pee everywhere!
What station was used for the opening of Heat ..
Slauson?
Just looked it up and evidently it was the Marine/Redondo station
I hope everything will be completed by 2028
Would you do a follow up video of it at night please.
Garbage, it’s amazing to see how much corruption there is in our financial system when it takes years to build a couple train stations while Asia and Europe, build cities at lightning speed in a matter of months!!
The people mover needs to hurry up !!!
New station that cost almost $1 Billion and no gates tall enough to prevent non-payers from entering the system. 🤦♂🤷♂ When are the idiots running Metro going to be fired?
POV: going to work on a nice chill tuesday morning
This was actually made on Sunday
Nice to see that it is open pretty nice keep us posted on about the K line especially when it goes to Aviation/LAX Station Aviation and Imperial
I love Maxwell but this not the right song for this video
Lol😂was just thinking that. Hysterical soundtrack
more updates please
Love the jazzy music background! Is this new stop an extension of the C Green Line?
Terrible choice in line lettering 😂
…now we need the *other* LAX area station to open
Amen to that.
Very well done!! Thank you!! 🙏🏻
This is amazing but my concern is people jumping over the fences and turnstiles! Why couldn’t they make them taller?😅
If they jump the turnstile there won't be a record of payment. MTA makes periodic checks on the holder of the Tap cards to see if they were used.
@@FrameDrumAndFlute In my experience enforcement is rare. I take the train a few times a year and cannot recall getting checked for proof of payment. One time we were asked to present our TAP cards but that could be a card with no money on it, not an effective system. Not everyone who avoids payment is a violent criminal, but those who commit crimes are also avoiding payment.
Some good shots of the station. Thanks
lets goo
Great selection of the music, while conducting another clip of the newly opened Aviation/Century station.
That they changed this was such a bone-headed move. Left earlier after seeing the schedule and they couldn't even keep that. Coming up to the stop of the K line the C Line train comes to crawl while the K Line train you need to get on to get to that last leg of the trip goes by and not to come again for another 15 - 20 minutes. Metro ended up adding 40 minutes to my commute...
LA Metro definitely needs to figure this one out because they just gave everybody on the southern end of the green line the biggest stiffy ever
The solution is to make one train goes from Norwalk to in the future Expo/Crenshaw stays there 6 minutes, after this train goes to Redondo Beach stays there 6 minutes and after that comes back to Norwalk stays there 6 minutes, next train in 10 minutes from Norwalk goes to Redondo Beach stays there 6 minutes, after that to in the future Expo/Crenshaw stays there 6 minutes and after comes to Norwalk stays there 6 minutes and like this all day long and then everybody will be satisfied.
Dope stuff. It's nice to see you guys Metro Inprove. I'm not too happy about the LA Dodgers beating my hometown NY Yankees. It was nice of you going thru my hometown The Bronx NY. By 161st Yankee Stadium River Av.. People around there love the Yankees. So crime won't really happen there. But it surrounded by tough areas like High Bridge going above Yankee Stadium.
Huh?? / What does this have to do with Yankees? Please learn how to spell, thanks...

When did you post this?
:brrrRrr: so suburban-looking thereabouts, even takes to resembling some stale quarter of Quebec City's of all places... the show-offy spirit of our long-shuttered Expo-Express got meteorically rebooted as of just last weekend, only this time around it's foresaking its touristically fairgrounds limitation for actually proper metropolitan haulage -- except for some (also-shuttered) Texan shopping centre parking lot, no other network's ever been quirky: v1.0: ua-cam.com/video/XiAOPNpf6tc/v-deo.html v2.0: ua-cam.com/video/oDUDnP0NSSw/v-deo.html 🍸
man people in LA are so friendly
Cheers from San Francisco! Hope to see more projects finish
Omg, I am weired.
I live in downtown, but haven't tried these new stations yet. Their elevator-only approach instead of escalators and stairs is unexpected. UPDATE: Oh, I hadn't finished watching yet. Some DO have the traditional choices. Still no plexiglass barriers to stop folks falling/jumping onto the tracks, though. I was hoping the brand new construction would have that upgrade.
The only one that doesn't have escalators is the Bunker Hill -Grand Avenue station because it's the deepest and there was no room to install escalators. The station is physically located like on a little island with three streets surrounding it. However, unlike the other stations that only have 1 or 2 elevators, this station has 6.
Good video, but it would have been helpful to see the subway platform better thanks
The only omission to your excellent vlog/UA-cam video is what happened to the original tracks and station that was in the first Little Tokyo Station?
They closed it 2020 to pretty much make room for the new Little Tokyo station. The Regional Connector was obviously the bigger, more important project, so they decided to replace the old Little Tokyo station with the new one altogether.
@@Optimusjack Coming to visit LA for my Birthday next month. Is the Western Bonaventura Hotel close to Grand Ave station?
@@thebootieloverthe Pershing Square subway station might be the closest. However, on the way you can checkout Pershing Square (under renovation), the Biltmore Hotel, and the LA Central Library which has a stunning underground atrium that is 3-4 stories in depth. Across the street from the library gardens on Figueroa is the Bonaventure. Have a great time and be safe.
They tore out the station and the tracks.. They were located caddy corner to where the new underground station is now. The old station and tracks were at ground level. It's now part of a parking lot.
@@mrxman581 Thanks for the response. Couldn't Metro have kept the tracks (or maybe a track) for an express service, skipping the (former) Little Tokyo/Arts District stop (the L Line without the underground Little Tokyo Station)?
The extended A Line/Blue Line is now the longest light rail/tram line in the world. If there was the "Transit Olympics" (the actual 2028 Olympic Games [which will be in Los Angeles] are now less than five years), the A Line would win the Gold Medal with a world record.
And the line will be even longer by the time the Olympics come to LA
@@mrxman581 ...and extending the "Transit Olympics" world record in the process. 😄
Did you end up taking the train replacement bus shuttle?
No. I walked back to 7th Street/Metro when I was done filming.
Amerika metro so cool so clean 👏🏻
