The 750 F4 is my absolute fav bike I’ve ever owned. I was 10 In 2004… I got it when I was 18 for x-mas in 2012. Christmas gift to myself. My parents paid for the plates. Classic red and silver colors. I’ve never seen another F4 750 in the wild. A couple liter F4’s here and there. The guy I got it from either didn’t know what he had or just didn’t care. I eventually sold it 2 years after getting my Aprilla rsv4. I was offered something that woulda been just stupid to turn down. The guy was on me over a 18month period raising his over more and more. I really do wish I kept it. They’re just so unique and rare in the mid Atlantic where I am. Even with aprilla coming out with there first v4 powered bike which is also rare but not like aprilla used to be. I owned an rsv mille and never once saw another while owning it or afterwards.. Don’t regret selling it like I do the F4… Atm I have my eyes on an black triumph Daytona 675.. have seen it in person and ridden it. Just putting the cash together. Excited to give my rsv4 a stable mate
Love it! Yes, the F4 is really a special bike and I have no plan to let go of mine. Between the V4, F3 & F4 the F4 is the slowest, heaviest and has the oldest tech but it’s the last bike I’d get rid of. There’s nothing quite like it. Good luck with your new bike! 😎

I can understand you totally. I coveted a Dragster ~two years before, after long years in my Ducati's seat. While I searched for the right one, I met with a Turismo Veloce RC deal which I can not left behind. So I bought the bike as a gift to my newborn daughter. (She is so generous from the first seconds of her life to let me ride while she'll be grown enought to take it back.) Now I am still looking for the proper Dragster RR with white laced slippers. Why? Who knows? (Me neither.) I feel it from my bones I need one so badly...
Yes, I tell people to only buy an MV if they REALLY want one. Because only that strong desire to own one will make it worth dealing with all the aggravation of dealing with MV Agusta if you have a problem. The Dragster RR is an awesome looking bike so I understand wanting one. Congratulations on your Turismo and I hope you have many problem-free rides ahead of you!
Thanks for the update. I had a 02 in the same color. Hard to believe it was almost 19 years ago. They are heavy but the first gen MV and the 916/748 series of bike, IMO, had the best front end feel even compared to today's bikes. My favorite MV was actually a 2006 1000 which had that front end feel and power. Surprisedly, the only issues I had with MVs was with a early 2000 version (used) that leaked oil and stalled and a cracked radiator on the 2006. All my other MVs F4s and F3s had been trouble free.
Yes, the F4s are heavy but they do have a great planted feeling to them. It's really a special ride that's hard to describe. Thankfully my F4 has been almost problem free after all these miles which is the opposite of my F3 which I'm convinced is cursed.
Thats why when i park my F4 i am super careful where it goes. But glad you got the bike you always wanted. Took me 5 years to get mine & it was worth it.
Yes, from now on - I'm carrying a little metal disc to put under my kickstand in case the ground looks even a little sketchy. Hope to never see my bike laying on its side again!

I just have a modded stock exhaust (internals removed) and custom EPROM, the rest is factory original. I am considering on going back to the fully stock exhaust though, it sounds more refined. Hopefully you can get the fairing fixed soon. I always keep an eye on eBay for spare parts and a good set of fairings might be difficult to find but not impossible 👍🏻 Regarding on the F3, shame on MV Agusta to be honest. I guess Covid hasn’t helped but as a customer I would expect regular updates which from what you said you are not getting. Your videos are great man keep up the good work! Cheers
Glad to hear you're enjoying the videos. My F4 is basically stock - just a few cosmetic tweaks. Thankfully it's been way more reliable than the F3. For sure MV's customer service is horrible. So bad that I have a hard time recommending them to anyone. If you get a bad bike, it's such a pain getting them to help you so I tell people you'd better REALLY want an MV to put up with all the grief. Hoping to post more videos soon!
I bought a foot-long piece of 3" diameter Aluminum solid round bar as scrap from my local metal vendor for $5, their minimum charge. I cut a 1/4 inch wafer off with an old blade in my chop saw. Watch your fingers! I carry my "giant dime" in my pocket, or in a convenient spot on my bike. I plonk the giant dime on the ground when I am still on the bike. I slip it into position with my foot, and place the sidestand on top of it. No more sinking into the asphalt. I fetch it from under the stand before I leave. If it goes missing, or gets stuck in the asphalt, I can leave my giant dime where it is and lose the 15 5/8 cents (Canadian) I have invested. There are 31 more like it at home.
Great advice. I've actually started using the lid from a big can of soup. I carry that in my backpack now and set it down under my kickstand whenever I'm the least bit suspect about the ground under the bike.
I hit a patch of gravel at apex of a turn going fast, knee maybe 1” from ground. Glad I had a knee puck and one piece dainese leathers as I slid with the bike on its side for a little while. Apart from lots of scratched up stuff the bike started and I continued my Sunday morning ride through the hills. F4 750 was a great bike. Sold a 916 to get it and got pretty fast on that piece of art.
I still love my F4. Uncomfortable ergos on long rides, unrideably hot during the summer and too heavy but it has a special place in my heart. It'll be the last bike I get rid of.
There was a gran turismo look like called Tourist trophy. It had the F4 on that. I was obsessed with those 4 pipes under the seat. Just looked fantastic. I'm 25 this November (insurance should drop dramatically) so I'm hoping to start seriously looking at a new F3 800. Last time I went in the dealers though, he had a used F4. Didn't have that many miles on but did look a bit worn in places. Put me off getting a used one slightly. For now it's not so much of a danger but I'm sure once I'm closer to the time any used F4s sitting in the shop could be a very dangerous option 😂
Yes, there are a lot of good deals on F4s out there and they usually have low miles since most people don't ride them regularly. Good luck with whatever you decide to get!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. The riding position of the F4 is aggressive. Hop on any R6/R1/GSXR/V2/V4 and then reach about 2-3” (5-7cm) farther forward and that’s a F4. I daily’d mine for years so it’s obviously not torture but if you like going for longer rides I’d advise getting a more comfortable bike. I’m 5’11” & 190lbs (87 kg) and the bike feels fine to me. Anyone maybe 5’8” or less would probably be in a serious Superman riding position. Good luck if you decide to get one. It really is a special machine. 👍

The book I read was “MV Agusta Fours: The Complete Story” It gives a good history of the company and also the story of the development of the F4. Good luck if you decide to buy an MV!
Please do another video on this bike. I’m very interested in buying one and there are really not to many videos of people riding them. Also got a few questions about this bike, like reliability, ergos, how it rides and how it is on fuel.
Not planning a F4 video anytime soon. Have a bunch of V4 videos I’m editing now. But I’ll try to answer any questions you have. Have you gone to the MV Agusta forum to hear from other owners? I’d definitely recommend that. Reliability: unlike my F3, my F4 has been one of the most reliable bikes I’ve ever owned. I have 37k miles on mine and have had very few problems. I daily’d it for years until the heat got to me. Ergos : Extreme. Not a bike you want to take on a long trip. You are stretched forward about 2 inches more than an F3 and the foot pegs are about 1 inch higher. If you have a gut or bad back don’t get one. Also the heat is extreme because of the poor cooling system. It’s heavy ~ 480 lbs so about 30-40 lbs heavier than your average modern day sportbike. I get about 35-40 mpg. An R6 would destroy it on track and be more comfortable on the street. But, it is truly something special and I love mine. It’ll literally be the last bike I’d ever sell. Let me know if you have any other questions.

As much as i like the look, sound and feel of these bikes I couldnt own one. Having worked on them for my job I can say parts availability is a complete nightmare, but im sure any owners are aware already
Yes, I usually tell people to buy another bike if they're thinking about getting an MV. I just don't think the average person has the patience to deal with their poor parts availability and customer service. If you have to have an MV - make sure you have a 2nd bike as a backup!

Well I wouldn’t recommend using it for a daily! 🤣 It was my dream bike so I wanted to ride it as much as possible but I wouldn’t recommend that for most sane people. They run pretty hot so not really something you want to ride in the summer. And the ergos are Aggressive so you probably don’t want to take a long ride with it. On the good side, mine has been incredibly reliable - unlike my F3. I am planning a video on it once I get to 40k which is coming up so stay tuned. 😎
Hi I have a 2002 same as you in silver have you any idea how many were produced in silver , Ive not ridden it much but just had lower fairing panels painted its done 13200 miles going to stick new tyres on and ride it once the weather gets better cheers Chris.
Oh wow. Well I personally like the 750 because it's unusual, more rare and kind of historic because it was the first model released when MV relaunched as a brand. And maybe I'm lucky but it's actually been one the most reliable bikes I've ever owned. But I usually recommend people get a F4 1000. F4's are heavy bikes and I think most people would be happier with the power/weight ratio of a 1000. The ergonomics of an F4 are aggressive. I daily'd mine for years and I got used to it but it's shocking going from the F4 to F3. The F3 (and just about any other sport bike) is way more comfortable. I wouldn't call them particularly agile compared to a F3 or R6. I'd say the ride is solid and stable (partially due to the heavy weight). Good luck if you decide to get one!

What weight and height are you? I was wondering how I would go on a 750 MV since I'm only 75kg and 167cm tall. 68cm from my heel to my crutch, so an extra 10cm on my tippy toes. I would go and sit on one, but I've never seen one in a store in our city - Adelaide South Australia. It's like the middle of Australia, but on the south coast. Next time I'm in Melbourne I'll check one out, but those visits are rare. Thanks.
I'm 84kg/180cm (185lb/5'11") and the F4 feels very "racy" to me. I'm not sure how comfortable it would be for shorter riders. You're in more of a "Superman" position than an F3 - stretched more forward. The footpegs are also noticeably higher. An awesome bike but not necessarily built for comfort.
Mine to is silver are they rare as I've never seen another I have had it now 4 years its done 13000 miles hard round town but what a bike on a run definitely a keeper cheers Chris

I have a question, hope you’ll answer it. This mv is a very pretty bike and being an old model this bike is bargain as a used one. So my question is, since it’s a discontinued model, so if you by any chance have issues and need some engine components such as camshafts / crankshafts stuff like that, where would you get those components? Yes, you can still buy many NOS (New Old Stock) parts directly from MV Agusta (however they will not be cheap). Otherwise you can usually find parts used on Ebay if you're patient - since not a lot of these bikes were sold it may take a while for them to pop up. Otherwise there's always the MV Agusta forums where if you post that you need a part usually someone in the world will be able to help you find it. Good luck if you decide to buy one!
Yes. 100%. But I’ve only owned one of each so I can’t make any sweeping statements. If you’re deciding between the two you might want to check out the MV forum where you can hear from more owners. I think in general people have fewer problems with the F4s than the F3s.

Yes there are lots of good deals on older F4s out there. But, you’re right, the cost of parts on these bikes is shocking when you do need to replace something.
Beautiful looking bike but do your research before you buy one, lots of problems from losing your engine, massive tank paint defects and electrical problems
Buddy’s dad has had two new gen f4s one base and his current rr and brother the dealer support is a joke I live in Dfw and we only have one dealer and they are awful his bike been waiting for a ecu update it’s been a month and the bikes just had glitchy fueling from its termis, good news is is ktm is partnering with mv next year to distribute mvs at existing ktm dealers which are a dime a dozen so hopefully we’ll get more access to parts and it will stop that one dfws shops monopoly over mv. If I were you ditch the f3 and get a base 2013 rr those f4s are bullet proof but parts are a bitch like every other model ive heard of some cooling issues on that 2nd gen tho that can be remedied with a upgraded water pump
For sure, MV teaming up with KTM can't hurt but I'm not going to hold my breath that parts/service are going to get a lot better. I'll believe it when I see it. Thankfully my F4 has been very reliable unlike my F3 but I tell everyone that MV's make a great 2nd bike - just make sure you have a main bike that's more reliable because if your MV goes down you'll probably be waiting a while for parts!
@@amv_moto I'm very keen to become an MV owner at some point. From what I've seen the F4 seems to be the way to go. Just a shame the F3 has so many issues.
Can’t you just sue the government? I mean it wasn’t your fault that it fell down. In my country I fell in a pothole and the government refunded me all of the expense I had to pay to fix my car I bet in the US you can also do something like that. I loooove F4’s. Currently looking for a F4 1000S.
Yeah, that's a great idea but the way the government is backed up in the US (because of all the COVID shutdowns), I think it'd be literally years before I got my refund. It's easier to just go through insurance here and even that can take forever (I talked about this in one of my recent update videos). Good luck finding an F4! It's an awesome bike and unlike my F3, my F4 has been really dependable.
F4’s started as 750’s because MV Agusta wanted to race in WSBK and the cc limit at the time was 750 for inline fours. So F4’s were 750cc for 1999-2004. They were mostly 1000cc for 2005-2018 - except for the F4 312 models which were 1078cc and made in limited numbers.
Sorry the only one is the F4 1000…., the 750 is lovely…but the 1000 is awesome and great value …I have 2006 that I got for 8k …on.y 4k miles and mint. I also have a c2 zx9r, a TLS1000, and a 2023 z900rs…the MV the daddy

As much as i like the look, sound and feel of these bikes I couldnt own one. Having worked on them for my job I can say parts availability is a complete nightmare, but im sure any owners are aware already
Yes, I usually tell people to buy another bike if they're thinking about getting an MV. I just don't think the average person has the patience to deal with their poor parts availability and customer service. If you have to have an MV - make sure you have a 2nd bike as a backup!

Well I wouldn’t recommend using it for a daily! 🤣 It was my dream bike so I wanted to ride it as much as possible but I wouldn’t recommend that for most sane people. They run pretty hot so not really something you want to ride in the summer. And the ergos are Aggressive so you probably don’t want to take a long ride with it. On the good side, mine has been incredibly reliable - unlike my F3. I am planning a video on it once I get to 40k which is coming up so stay tuned. 😎

Hi I have a 2002 same as you in silver have you any idea how many were produced in silver , Ive not ridden it much but just had lower fairing panels painted its done 13200 miles going to stick new tyres on and ride it once the weather gets better cheers Chris.
MV says they only made 300 F4s in all silver so they're pretty rare. Enjoy your ride once the weather gets better!

Oh wow. Well I personally like the 750 because it's unusual, more rare and kind of historic because it was the first model released when MV relaunched as a brand. And maybe I'm lucky but it's actually been one the most reliable bikes I've ever owned. But I usually recommend people get a F4 1000. F4's are heavy bikes and I think most people would be happier with the power/weight ratio of a 1000. The ergonomics of an F4 are aggressive. I daily'd mine for years and I got used to it but it's shocking going from the F4 to F3. The F3 (and just about any other sport bike) is way more comfortable. I wouldn't call them particularly agile compared to a F3 or R6. I'd say the ride is solid and stable (partially due to the heavy weight). Good luck if you decide to get one!

What weight and height are you?
I was wondering how I would go on a 750 MV since I'm only 75kg and 167cm tall. 68cm from my heel to my crutch, so an extra 10cm on my tippy toes. I would go and sit on one, but I've never seen one in a store in our city - Adelaide South Australia. It's like the middle of Australia, but on the south coast. Next time I'm in Melbourne I'll check one out, but those visits are rare. Thanks.
I'm 84kg/180cm (185lb/5'11") and the F4 feels very "racy" to me. I'm not sure how comfortable it would be for shorter riders. You're in more of a "Superman" position than an F3 - stretched more forward. The footpegs are also noticeably higher. An awesome bike but not necessarily built for comfort.
Mine to is silver are they rare as I've never seen another I have had it now 4 years its done 13000 miles hard round town but what a bike on a run definitely a keeper cheers Chris
Yes, the F4 is really a special bike. Hard to put into words for someone who's never ridden one, but it will definitely be the last bike I ever get rid of.
I have a question, hope you’ll answer it. This mv is a very pretty bike and being an old model this bike is bargain as a used one. So my question is, since it’s a discontinued model, so if you by any chance have issues and need some engine components such as camshafts / crankshafts stuff like that, where would you get those components?

Yes, you can still buy many NOS (New Old Stock) parts directly from MV Agusta (however they will not be cheap). Otherwise you can usually find parts used on Ebay if you're patient - since not a lot of these bikes were sold it may take a while for them to pop up. Otherwise there's always the MV Agusta forums where if you post that you need a part usually someone in the world will be able to help you find it. Good luck if you decide to buy one!

Yes. 100%. But I’ve only owned one of each so I can’t make any sweeping statements. If you’re deciding between the two you might want to check out the MV forum where you can hear from more owners. I think in general people have fewer problems with the F4s than the F3s.

Yes there are lots of good deals on older F4s out there. But, you’re right, the cost of parts on these bikes is shocking when you do need to replace something.
Beautiful looking bike but do your research before you buy one, lots of problems from losing your engine, massive tank paint defects and electrical problems
Buddy’s dad has had two new gen f4s one base and his current rr and brother the dealer support is a joke I live in Dfw and we only have one dealer and they are awful his bike been waiting for a ecu update it’s been a month and the bikes just had glitchy fueling from its termis, good news is is ktm is partnering with mv next year to distribute mvs at existing ktm dealers which are a dime a dozen so hopefully we’ll get more access to parts and it will stop that one dfws shops monopoly over mv. If I were you ditch the f3 and get a base 2013 rr those f4s are bullet proof but parts are a bitch like every other model ive heard of some cooling issues on that 2nd gen tho that can be remedied with a upgraded water pump
For sure, MV teaming up with KTM can't hurt but I'm not going to hold my breath that parts/service are going to get a lot better. I'll believe it when I see it. Thankfully my F4 has been very reliable unlike my F3 but I tell everyone that MV's make a great 2nd bike - just make sure you have a main bike that's more reliable because if your MV goes down you'll probably be waiting a while for parts!
The F4 sounds more reliable as it was largely engineered by Ferrari.
Maybe I've just been lucky/unlucky but my F4 has been WAY more reliable than my F3. No contest.
@@amv_moto I'm very keen to become an MV owner at some point. From what I've seen the F4 seems to be the way to go. Just a shame the F3 has so many issues.
Can’t you just sue the government? I mean it wasn’t your fault that it fell down. In my country I fell in a pothole and the government refunded me all of the expense I had to pay to fix my car I bet in the US you can also do something like that. I loooove F4’s. Currently looking for a F4 1000S.
Yeah, that's a great idea but the way the government is backed up in the US (because of all the COVID shutdowns), I think it'd be literally years before I got my refund. It's easier to just go through insurance here and even that can take forever (I talked about this in one of my recent update videos). Good luck finding an F4! It's an awesome bike and unlike my F3, my F4 has been really dependable.

I thought all F4 were 1000cc.
F4’s started as 750’s because MV Agusta wanted to race in WSBK and the cc limit at the time was 750 for inline fours. So F4’s were 750cc for 1999-2004. They were mostly 1000cc for 2005-2018 - except for the F4 312 models which were 1078cc and made in limited numbers.

Sorry the only one is the F4 1000…., the 750 is lovely…but the 1000 is awesome and great value …I have 2006 that I got for 8k …on.y 4k miles and mint. I also have a c2 zx9r, a TLS1000, and a 2023 z900rs…the MV the daddy
