Great video. Seeing the crab as presented I had not realized how big they actually are. The dim sum looked amazing! Sometimes going the extra dollar gets you for that is truly worth the experience!
Aloha Danny. It's nice to see you treat yourself now and then. I could not enjoy that lobster without rice. Every bite you took was torture for me! Mahalo for another excellent video!
This place reminds me of when I lived in Tianjin and there would be two restaurants back to back with the same kitchen in the middle. Both served the exact same food, but one was 10-20 times more expensive, but was reserved for the upper 5% extremely wealthy people, and then the other side was for the regular paying customer with normal prices. But the food was EXACTLY the same. The expensive side looked really fancy, and would have incredible service, and then the normal size was always crowded and had overworked servers and was loud and smokey.
@@dannythemedichi Danny, patpassi2730 was my mom. Unfortunately she didn’t make it to see your apartment. She passed on March 28, 2024. She was a big fan of yours and we would sometimes discuss your videos. That’s how I found your channel. I know she said she would make you chicken parm and spaghetti if you were ever in Chicago. She wasn’t joking and she was an exceptional cook. She will certainly be missed.
sorry to hear about your mom. my mom passed years and years back, but I see her and my dad in my dreams all the time, very realistic stuff like they were still alive. Those we love will never be gone!
ok, i have to post as i go along, i cant help it as im busting at the seams to comment as i go… so, the look on your face when the live king crab arrived cracked me up. i swear, this is why we love you! 😂. and yes, its a very nice place, wow, and NOOOOO tv’s, FINALLY!! ok, back to the video…
DtM. I love your guilt. You have character. I wish you would have explained the "thai taste" a little bit more. I usually eqate Thai flavors with some heat and sweet and sour. but none the less, great food shots. Tks. Karla in Cali.
Try steamed lobster that you dip in olive oil with added lemon, salt, black pepper. Olive oil and soy sauce are also very good. In Maine, they boil/simmer lobster at restaurants, in the same water that the last few days lobsters were cooked in.______________ I like your sense of humor. King crab is too expensive in restaurants. Buy and cook at home.
Happy you were comped, but “Whole Suckling Pig” at $389.88 and “Whole Peking Duck “ at $128… 😮. Should be named Gold plate 💵💵💵💵.. Hmmmm, $1000 for a 10 lb for a live King Crab 🦀. would have been interesting. The fried turnip triangles are items I love. Lobster Sui Mai looked good. 🦞. Whole lobster de-shelled 🦞 Thai spiced, interesting take. Yes, I like the ginger scallion or Cantonese style too. But, the Thai style looked like they used Lemon Glass spice and green onions? All looked great at the”Red Plate” restaurant .👍
Great video Danny. I have watched the tv series Deadliest Catch where the men risk their lives to catch Alaskan crab. To see the final product being shown in a high end Vegas restaurant shows the full circle of crabbing. Very delicious looking meal & glad you enjoyed it.
Hey Danny, I'm not a lobster lover but that dish is worth a $100. I plan to check out the scallion and black bean sauce with ginger. All I need is a side of rice, lol.
I’ve had a fresh 4lb lobster in Maine. It was fantastic! Not chewy or tough as you would think. I stayed at the Cosmo a few weeks back and it was so busy that you could not get a reservation anywhere. A busy weekend so it may be that. I wanted to try this place too. Maybe one day if its not crazy busy.
Dang Danny, you must have won big gambling to eat at such a fancy place. Turnip cakes are triangles because you only get half of what they're supposed to give you. I'm happy you enjoyed the meal. ✌Peace bro
my self and my wife have come to really look forward to your videos---- like your style and your sense of humor!! one question , that my have been asked before,,,and I am not being critical in any way BUT why do you always wear the same shirt? except the one Hawaiian shirt on your cruise
why do people only have one wife? that is my reason! sometimes you find a shirt that fits you and your purpose so well, there is no reason to wear any other shirt. this blue is very neurtal and works with alotta pants, which is usually beige. the fabric is very soft, it has a pocket where I need it, and the placket with the buttons makes a great place to clip a microphone wehter for youtube or work medic work. Anbody seeing this shirt will not have anything bad to say about it. it has a collar for some of the more demanding restaurant policies, and it was on SALE at JCP where I bought a ton, I think I ahve over 30 of these, forgive the miuspellings
Interesting that they do table side Duck and Lobstah now. Imagine 1K a King. Did not see any BCF on menu and prices were high but service seemed to match.
3:40....what is tier match? does it means you bet certain amount of money like $250 and lose in a casino, they will give you $250 to spend on food in a luxury restaurant in vegas?
tier is your level of player card at any casino. MGM have Nior 1, platnium 2, gold 3, etc etc.. so I had the #2 card, which I showed to the player desk and they gave them their #2 card also.
@@dannythemedicso how much do you need to bet or gamble to be #2 platinum? And also what do you mean by u give ur card on the desk and they give their card also?

Those prices are CRAZY! This restaurant is so overpriced that only people with comp can afford to come here to eat. I rather go to SK restaurant in Chinatown for half the price the price and twice as good in taste. 😮.
king crab may be a grand here, but they dont grow the crabs so there ARE affordable king crab, perhaps chinatown so ppl arent really missing out on the fundamental of it
Wow, what a wonderful video! Thanks for sharing that luxury dining experience.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Another great video Danny I couldn't believe how large the king crab was $1000
if I could read fish minds like Aquaman, I bet I woulda ran out of that restaurant, I swear I thought the crabs were about to count to three
Whoa! I just figured no one could afford those prices so the place was empty!😂 Lucky tier match meal. Food does look amazing though.

Ginger scallion would be my choice. It looks delicious

Loving the videos Danny keep it up ❤
What did you end up paying after the comp? And do you leave a tip?
When were u at Red Plate?? I work at Cosmo front desk
it was a little while ago, but I go to the cosmo often because it is near the deuce bus stop and restroom is...
Im gonna walk around the front desk at cosmo today, just to see if you would notice me walking around LOL
Whoa! Such a deal my brother 💯‼️
Looks wonderful. I didn’t even know that restaurant was at the Cosmo
Whooooooooooooooooaaaa super FABULOUS!!!
One fancy meal indeed. But $$$$, that’s out of my budget. Glad you experienced a good meal.
:) OMG Danny! $$$$ indeed ! No wonder Buddha JUMPED OVER THE WALL!
Looks good! Cheers
Sees all meals are good when your comped, when no normal person could afford it.
Great, as always
DtM you may be comparing the turnip cake to latkes!! It may have a similar texture. Lobster Shu Mai looks exquisite 🦞🦞
Food so Delicious 😋 and Perfect have Restaurant by yourself. No Noise other people in the Background ❤
Shiu mai is my favorite dim sum

how did you get the tier match? is it for new card members or does it include existing members.. appreciate your help as I have a trip coming soon.

What does tier match mean??
I think he made a 250.00 in a gambling credit, he can use at this restaurant and they honored it. I hope this helps..
simply if you have tier, another casino may match it as some kind of customer stealing effort. www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/identity/about

$110.00 and only given an eight...🤑🤑🤑🤑

Potato Latke

not fair!

Over priced. Can buy 5 for that price in Cincy OH even 2.5 pound. Nice review though.
