I think the foochow Char Chu Mee is the must try cousine and black Kampua. Of course Sarawak Laksa is a must and Kolok Mee and Dian Bian Hu mostly sold in Sibu. Kompia is another must.
You can say that again, Laksa there is the best! I’m from Kuching, now living in Vancouver, do I miss that dish and kolomee. Totally enjoyed your videos, reminded me of ‘home’
so far the closer Sarawak laska flavor I tasted is the 200g Sarawak Instant Laksa Sauce package by Nonyamuihiong (Nonya) 娘惹, I add extra chicken bone soup and coconut milk, double the package for good punch of flavor (whole house smell ) sold in Surrey 8645 160 st. Nanyang Asian Supermarket, I am from Coquitlam , (ex Kenyalang Park ).For quick and lighter taste ,I used LEE FAH Bihun Instant Rice Vermicelli Sarawak Laksa 4x80gg (320) package ,same store got it too.May have supply problem now.
oh ya, they also have MEE KOLO Sarawak, dry X4 package, the texture is very close to Sarawak KOLOMEE , just make sure dont overcook the mee. By 劉家麵線 , make in Johore Low Seat Hoon Handmade Mee Suah Sdn Bhd
Thanks for introducing d wonderful dishes from Sarawak. I have to admit, I haven't heard most of them except mee kolok, umai n kek lapis Sarawak. Nice to know about those dishes.
Great check list and I will look for bubur pedas and nasi aruk. I think kompia is like a small bagel? What's missing to try: the ulat sago. Hehehe. My American friends rather eat this than the durian. Northern parts of Sarawak you get another amazing fruit: tarap.
I love the river fish soup. I suggest Mr. Nick to show the way / process how this traditional food being prepared/ cooked. N join the hill tribes to prepare n eat with them.👌👍
Hi, Nick ...I missed your video this morning ..completely forgot because I was very busy to day Well I like most of the Sarawak dishes here...and I'm glad you like those dishes , it's good to try all kind of dishes from different countries , Thank you for your lovely video and I love to see your cute baby too 👌❤❤
Kompia? I myself a Foochow from Sibu and had quite much eating on Kompia in my school days. Now not quite anymore because scared trying already. (Don't get mad, I didn't say I hate it). BTW, the kampua mee and kolok mee, I add laksa soup on both mixed kampua and kolok mee once and believe me, it's taste never lies.
Hi! For some nice Dayak food you should check out Rumah Asap Tabuan Dayak. They have a lot of BBQd meet here, but they also sell some nice veggies and other dishes. If you're looking for delicious Orang Ulu food, o highly suggest you to visit a restaurant called Lepau!
Hi.. Morning..New daddy Nick .my favourite dish is Sarawak laksa different from Penang laksa .l tasted it when on tour in Sabah before covid How do you feel when u kiss your fresh and blood on your hands.Best in the world as l already feel it.....Have a great day.. Tomorrow is a D- day for Sarawak state election..♥️ from Perak..Dec2021... Merry Christmas to 3 of u....🧑🎄
Good Morning! Thanks for watching the video! Things are great here, baby Milow is doing good and growing so fast! We see so many flags everywhere here for the election, I'll be happy once its done!
I like children cook in bamboo and behoon manicai. And ofcourse midin also. So yummy. Hope you enjoy all the Sarawak food. Nick...next time you try buah kepayang.
Heyy Nick..Hv u try Ah Moi Laksa at Foody Goody at Stutong... Opposite Stutong Market..Go try if u haven't try their laksa. It won't disappoint you..it's really delicious...🙂
Interesting. It's most popular as a breakfast dish at this moment, perhaps it has changed over time. For me it's usually a bit too filling for breakfast, I prefer to have it for lunch. =D
I hink your manok pansuh was overdone wraps with tapioca leaves. I think pork with jungle leaves called daun bungkang is the best version of pansuh. Love love love. I prefer authetic Kampua Noodle at Siang Siang Food Court at Tabuan Jaya by lovely elderly couples or 38 Street Food at Jalan Airport. But both are not consistent, sometimes too soggy.
Yoooo brooo... U so damn cruellll... Hahahahhaha... Im in brunei not yet can cross the border... Soon will take all revenge to those food (halal version)... Soon mate... Hahahahahaha... Anyway all the best broo..

Nick, have you ever tried the laksa at Fat Cat cafe? I think it's one of the best in town. Just a stone's throw from where you live.

Would be much much appreciate if you could show the video where to eat those 20 dishes in kuching🙏

Anthony is a westerner. I dont think laksa is for the morning. In the 60s it is an afternoon delight.

Last but not last is Hainanese Chicken Rice with vinegar chilles
That's a very good dish as well, especially from Little Hainan on Padungan Road in Kuching!
