Thought that story was going different than that. For some reason figured he took deposits from lots of people or something like that. Your a good man Rabbit
You can usually tell when you have dealt with the Public as many years as Rob has, What stories are BS and which ones are real. Sucks you lost the money, but you Handled the situation with class.
Sounds a little bit like the scam my daughter about fell into. Person in West Virginia was willing to ship her deceased husband’s car to Utah. Daughter did a little digging before money changed hands and learned it was a scam.
thats a tough situation. on one hand buisness is buisness, but on the other, you feel bad for the people, and what they are goin thru. at some point, we all have to be human
Phineas Taylor Barnum, yes old PT said 3 things to live by 1) You Cant cheat an honest man, 2) There's a sucker born every day, 3) Never smarten up a chump. Rob your the greatest
Just a thought with how sleazy some are these days but if the car was already willed to a kid why was it for sale? And how many times has that car already been sold and handled exactly the way they did you? Hope that’s not what happened but it’s possible
I caught you a week or so ago on Vine wiki. Been hooked ever since. Smooth talk in devil with stories my Dad used to tell. You are wise beyond your years. My Aunt lives in Columbia, maybe I can make it up there some day.
Just about any other car salesman out there would have asked for the money back....and that's why I hate the term car salesman. I respect that you didn't.
I want to know if Rabbit actually verified his passing. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a scam. But then again, I don't really trust people I don't know.
great story !! ps,the gas pump should show what the last price was when it was being used in service. wink wink. that 0.00 just doesnt Look right,if you know what i mean...Sweet pump too !! i only have 1 Sinclair myself.
the red flag here is he sold it to you but its in his will for his kids. and it just wouldnt be right. so what if he died the day after he delivered it to you. would it still be wrong for you to keep it since it was obviously already in the will?
If the original owner transfered the title of the vehicle over to someone else, the item in the will would be void because it is no longer owned at the time of death. Would be a real slap in the face to the child or loved one to inherit the car and then it is no where to be found. The actual question is, if this wasn't a scam, was the gentleman in a healthy mental state to be selling the vehicle? He could have had dementia or alzheimers and just decided one day that he wanted to sell it.
Trust me it's not always how it rolls. A will may get written and many things transpire prior to death. My daddy left and the will to my surprise left alot of things to us 2 kids and his only sister ...but the will was around 2004. My daddy left just a few years ago. I had 10 condos in Tulsa and some other thet items I didn't even know he had. I got nothing. Most of it was investments gone bad and were sold off a few years before he left etc.. I never expected anything and got nothing when he left. It's just life.
The car was already sold. Dad no longer owned the car so he couldn't leave it to anybody. If I'm giving somebody a thousand of anything, I'm getting that deal in writing. Mom could have given her son the money from the sale of the car.
I have a very hard time believing Rob never ever lost money on a car deal...I just think that's impossible for a car salesmen...but if true...I would wonder how many people got ripped off from buying a car from rob....not saying rob knowingly ripped anyone off. But some cars are brought n sold with out ever being seen..so God knows what happens to those deals....used cars are as is....n car salesmen are going to hide any problems....but sounds like Rob lost $1000 on that car.....great scam for sure
Total class move not asking for your money back
Thought that story was going different than that. For some reason figured he took deposits from lots of people or something like that. Your a good man Rabbit

I'm here to help keep rabbit immortal! Timeless stories!
Trust but verify. Did you see an obituary online? Strange that he was selling a car that was promised to a child in a will.
thats a tough situation. on one hand buisness is buisness, but on the other, you feel bad for the people, and what they are goin thru. at some point, we all have to be human

I would search for a obituary and funeral times... Trust but verify
Looking great, Rabbit. If you ever get down to Columbia, stop by the station and we'll have you plug the channel and your TV project!

I work at truck stop in SE Montana. I seen that C10 come through on a car hauler the other day and IMMEDIATELY knew who it came from!!
Who else was expecting him to describe her as JC Penny Gal?

Rest in peace Rabbit❤
😭
Thanks for another great video Rob. I love what you do brother.
Rob,, now I KNOW you are a Great American to do what you did in this situation. Outstanding !! HooAH !!
A lesson learned certainly but you did the honorable thing Rob, a good story!
I have done the same thing. Can’t ask a dead Man for money. And Iam sure not going to ask his family. Small loss.
Rob you really are a class act sir
First vehicle you lost money on then. Well you did the right thing, hats off to you.
Doing the right thing will always pay off in the end!
Just about any other car salesman out there would have asked for the money back....and that's why I hate the term car salesman. I respect that you didn't.
Note to self. Never leave home without your checkbook
Can't leave home in New Zealand with a check book.
Check books are long gone.👋
Awesome video Rob. Ive been looking for my first colloector car. Who should i go to buy my first one from?
Call Rob tell him what you want he will find it and buy it from him.
Classy move brother!
What is your website you list your for sale cars on?
Good man! 👍
Rob should have thrown out there the offer to buy the truck from the person who inherited it. Perhaps a deal could still be made.
Very classy Rabbit!
You have lost some weight looking awesome bud keep up the good fight
I want to know if Rabbit actually verified his passing. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a scam. But then again, I don't really trust people I don't know.
Without an obit, they may've found the way to get you gone... Tug at the loss strings.
Sheesh, I wouldn't want to play those games, lying about my own death.
@@A.Johnson283 2023 has shown nothing's off the table anymore.
I guess that we'll know for sure if the car ever comes back up for sale again.
RIP Rabbit
DUDE!!!! Season 2!!!??,
great story !! ps,the gas pump should show what the last price was when it was being used in service. wink wink.
that 0.00 just doesnt Look right,if you know what i mean...Sweet pump too !!
i only have 1 Sinclair myself.
Is Rob doing okay? He looks different for some reason
Rob looks really thin compared to earlier videos and even thinner than when he went on the diet. Hope he is well and simply living good.
@Dan Macgowan likewise. It just seems like such a drastic look from even his last couple videos... or we could all honestly stand to lose a few pounds
He didn't say it, but I'm guessing the death was real by how he described the situation.
the red flag here is he sold it to you but its in his will for his kids. and it just wouldnt be right. so what if he died the day after he delivered it to you. would it still be wrong for you to keep it since it was obviously already in the will?
That’s not a red flag. There’s stuff in almost every will that’s already gone.
If the original owner transfered the title of the vehicle over to someone else, the item in the will would be void because it is no longer owned at the time of death. Would be a real slap in the face to the child or loved one to inherit the car and then it is no where to be found.

Love the videos but never lost on a car is hard to believe.
Definition of 'lose' can be loose.
RITE RITE 👍
Hey Rabbit your one cool cat lets get to that!
So if the guy's kid was already set to inherit the car then why was he selling it to rob
Trust me it's not always how it rolls. A will may get written and many things transpire prior to death. Damn bro you lost a lot of weight. I hope everything is good!
Probably not.
1000 dollar write off.

You sure he actually died?
Lately I've been getting squeal like a little piggy boy Deliverance vibes from Rob... 😂😂😂
In business, breaking even is a loss . That means that you worked for free on that deal
