Firstly you enthusiasm and excitement gets me every time I can watch you videos without actually having to do a project if I'm not able to at the time because I just get excited
I am wrapped up in a couple of big projects but I have wanted to do a temperature blanket for a while but I also get bored unless I can just sit and finish a project all at once so to string it out all year I didn't want to just pick one stitch so this excites me very much and I'm going to do this for next year
Thank you for the great ideas always
I, too, am going to be 60 on March 9th and will be doing my first temperature blanket!
Sending support, love, and kindness from Lexington MI USA
I really like that you are doing a temperture blanket but also a sampler. I do get bored after a while of doing the same stitch. So doing a different stitch each month is genius. Can not wait to get started.
I am super excited for this!
Excellent idea 🇬🇧
This is so fun! I’m using a special date to start my project!
I don't have a lot of need for a huge blanket, so a couple years ago I made a temperature table runner for my long table. Turned out great. This year I'm making placemats, linen square. They won't match but that's ok, will make for an interesting table and I will have lots of extras to swap out when we spill! Love your colors!
Love your idea for a table runner! Going to do that! Thanks for sharing!
I found out last year that my dad had colon cancer. He loves the outdoors, so I’ve been working on a temperature blanket for him. It’s been helpful to keep my mind off of the cancer because I’ve been focusing on getting it finished for him. I used muted colors and it’s turning out beautifully.
Love this!!!
I have never tried this before but it looks interesting as there will be a new stich each month I am going to do this.
Yarns gathered and ready to go! I have a pocket calendar to record temps. Pondering doing 2 blankets. One using the high temps of the day and the second using the lows.
This sounds fun! I just wrote up a 10 degree increment chart. Being in Missouri & Midwest in general, where we can go from minus 0 in Winter to over 100 in Summer, 11 colors! Talk about a colorful and fun blanket. Now to choose colors.
I’ve been eyeing UA-cam like a hawk waiting for a crochet along that resonates with me. Thank you! I will be joining you! Such a smart and creative way to do a temperature blanket
Looking forward to this I'm in the UK and our weather is all over the place we can have four seasons in one day crazy I'm new to crochet so this is extra bonus for me 😊
I wantend to do such a blanket for a long time. Even got me the yarn. But that’s already used haha. So, I have a reason to buy new yarn🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
I decided to do a temperature blanket 2023 because it is the year I turn 60 so this will be fun!
HOW FUN!!! And what a special way to lock in the memory of such an important year. Love it Debbie! 😊🧡🧶
I'll be turning 60 this year also 🥰
@@lisastreasures Feb 20th for me
@@debbiebrown9361 May 23 for me.
I'm going to be 60 also so I am going to try to do this also. May 16.
Yes!! Tiffany, I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile, but couldn’t find the right kind of tutorial on this. Crocheting along with you is going to make it fun because it is my first time making this type of blanket too. Plus it is going to be more fun doing different stitches along the way too.❤️🤗🧶❤️
Excited to start the temperature project. Have my yarn and ready to go.😀
Oh my gosh! I'm SOOOOO happy that you're doing this! I told myself that I was finally going to do a temperature blanket in 2023, but I've had so much anxiety about picking the right type of yarn for the job! This has helped me so much and eased my mind! I'm definitely going to check out the yarn bee yarn! Thank you so much for doing this video! I was just about to hang up the idea of doing the blanket.
Temperature blankets are great because they can be made with scraps! A UA-camr, Kate, from one of a Kate, made a temperature dress! It came out s nice! It just looks like a designer dress.
I've been intrigued by temperature blankets for a while but never looked into them that closely. I'm very excited to be along for the ride with this. Thank you. This will be great fun.
Can't wait. What a wonderful idea. I'll have to go through my stash and see what I have. Since I'm not allowed to drive this will be a wonderful project to occupy my time till I'm back on my feet. Thanks Tiffany.
Love your temperature blanket idea. Especially saying use colors you like, high or low temp, different stitches, excellent! I’ll be getting my yarn and following along! Thank you Tiffany!
I know im a little late in the game but it has taken me this long to decide if i was going to make a temperature blanket. I am excited about crocheting one now. its tome to play catch up lol.
I like your idea of changing the stitch so it's not so boring, which I thought would be fairly easy doing only SC.
I also just started one for 2023! I picked 9 bright colors that I love and are doing a single crochet stitch throughout the whole thing!
It is going to be fun….my first time doing one too!
How fun, being from Texas and the swing in temps we are having right now, especially that deep freeze we had a couple years ago. I can’t wait to start.
So excited!! Just found out and will catch up!!😊
It's like you read my mind. I wanted to try a temperature blanket with earth tones and I didn't want to do the same stitch over and over again. I'm super excited about it again. See you soon 😊
I am so excited for a temperature blanket. This is on my crochet bucket list. So awesome ❤
I absolutely love this although I really daren’t start one. I have got so much yarn of different ply I would have to buy new and I think my darling other half might just grumble. I can’t wait to see your progress though.
Here in the uk, I think the increments would have to be every 3 degrees as they changed us back in the 80s. Niki x
OMG! Thank you so much, for giving me an excuse to get more yarn. My nephew lives in Chicago and I believe this will make a great gift. I love your tutorials. I learn better with visual then written. Thanks again.
I love this idea! and your idea to make it a sampler is right up my alley bec ause I tend to get bored while making blankets too.
Such a fun way to start the year. I love how you incorporated the swatch idea!
I’m excited
I think this will actually help me to finish a blanket for myself
Thank you for doing this
~Anna~ ❤
Thank you!!! I've been wanting to do a Temperature Blanket for years! This is the motivation I needed! I woke up in the middle of the night last night to order me yarn! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I made up my own color scheme that I would be happy with. I can't wait to get started!
Haha I love a little middle of the night yarn shopping. Helps to encourage some sweet dreams. 😄🧡🧶
I have been wanted to do a sampler blanket and this sounds like so much fun doing it with the weather. Thank you for explaining it so well!
Yay, I've never done a temp blanket. I'm so excited! You rock...
This sounds like a really fun project. Can’t wait to start.
I haven’t done a temp blanket yet but I’m motivated to make this one!!! ❤ love the variety in monthly stitches. Great idea
What a great idea Tiffany! Definitely going along with this project..our temperature here in South Africa is basically very warm.. I like the idea of various colours..so the colours will determine in what mood I'm in.. can't wait to start this..greetings from South Africa 😊
I’m new to your site. I’m so excited to join in on the temperature blanket. Thank you so very much. So glad I found you. ❤
Thanks for being so positive about a temperature blanket. I have decided to join you now and do my first one.
Temperature Blanket is such a fun project to work on. I did my Temperature blanket for this year 2022 and can't wait until the 31st when it's completed. I'm excited for you on 2023 temperature blanket 🧶💖
I am doing one this year myself. I already have my colors. I am working in JoAnn's Big Twist worsted weight yarn. I did get some super cool blue super thin, thread like to add to the day if it rains.
OH my gosh I love that so much!!!! What a creative idea to add more detail to your blanket! Thank you so much for sharing this Colleen!
I’m so excited about this!! I need to start shopping!!!
I think this will be a fun blanket as well. Until I watched this I never heard of a temperature blanket.
I'm so excited for the CAL!!!!
😂😂😂 I’d love to do this with y’all, but I’m still working on June of 2022. 😮😮😮😂😂😂
Honestly on my way to Joann’s for more yarn to finish 2022. I want to do this but - sheesh!- I got bored in the summer months.
I’m in Texas too and after doing the rainbow type color change for 2022, I will definitely be doing different colors for 2023.
I’m so excited that you’re doing this! I just sat down last night after telling my husband I’m going to make a temperature blanket this coming year and set up a spreadsheet to keep track of the temps each day. I’m going to pick my yarn out once visiting family members are gone. Very excited to get started!
Hi Tiffany, what a great idea, with the samplers of stitches. Ok, now to decide on my yarn…😊😊🎉
This sounds like so much fun. I really need this to make a commitment to a project. Looking forward to this project and thank you so much.
I am so excited to do my very first temperature blanket.
Hi Tiffany, How exciting!!! I have always wanted to do a temperature blanket. You have it very well thought out. I can’t wait. 🎉🎉
Yes yes I loved I’m buy the yarn tomorrow thank you ❤
Wow, I had no idea that’s what they were!!
I've had a temperature blanket on my bucket list but was afraid I'd get bored. This sounds great! Gonna go for it and do some stash busting!
Im so excited! I can hardley wait. I've never done a temperature blanket before. Im going shopping to get my yarn.
So excited... I'M IN!
Picked my yarns by looking at palette colors on coolers usingyarn from michaels
What a great idea!
So excited! Can't wait to get started.
You've inspired me! I'm already making one for my sister, using the moss stitch, but I've wanted to make one for myself. I just get bored with the moss stitch. I'll have to play catch up, but that's alright! This is so exciting!!!
I’m so excited to do this temperature blanket with you. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now. 👍🏼🥰❤️
I was thinking about a temperature blanket today, I like your twist of different stitches
This is going to be fun! 😊
I was planning on attempting a temperature blanket this year, so serendipity has struck.
This is going to be fun!
Love this idea Tiffany! I'm on board and so excited! I have tons of Red Heart, so that's what I'll use. Can't wait!!!!
See Tiffany, I might end up doing two blankets myself because of what I just said and you said the same , it was hard to pick yarn and colors 😂 🤦♀️
LOVE this idea, and thank you so much for walking us through all the details. I even love the creativity around how you tabulated the temperature ranges and attached yarn samples along with them :) I'm going to do this for my moods instead of temperature:) Thank you, Tiffany, and can't wait to learn from you! Happy Holidays! ❤️
Omgosh Tiffany….I’ve never heard of a temperature blanket before but it sounds so exciting to make. Love the idea of a new stitch each month to keep it from being boring. 🙌🙌
I’ve got enough yarn in my stash to follow along with this project but I also have committed to other projects for people beginning in January. If I don’t get to start in January I will definitely catch up with you in February or March.
Can’t wait to start this crochet journey with you and everyone else on your channel! Fun fun fun!! 🙌🧶
Thanks Tiffany so much!!
YAY!!! I'm so excited for you to join along in the project with me Tina!! 😊🧡🧶
Stash busted for this, hooked up, temperature card made. It's Tuesday 3rd in the UK, and I'm excited and ready to hook off. Got my Crojo Working 💪 🧶🪢
This sounds like fun!
Love this can't wait
Love this. I will try making it! I’m not an expert crocheter so we’ll see what happens! I love the way you instruct 💕!
This sounds like fun. You have made it so easy, just don’t think I can do every day. Think I’ll do once a week.
Sounds great! Do whatever you can do. And if you miss a day, nobody will know. 😄🧡🧶
Always wanted to do this, so excited.
Thanks for sharing.
This sounds so fun!
This will be interesting Tiffany
I’m so excited Tiffany! I am just finishing a granny square join as you go temp blanket and wanted to make another temp blanket in 2023 but didn’t know what kind to do! Thank you for this fabulous idea! A temp/sampler blanket sounds so amazing! I can’t wait to start it!😊
Can't wait to see the stitch you will be using for this
So fun! I just finished a project so this will be a great idea for the next one.
I’m in and so excited to do this!❤
Yeah I’m so excited I want to make one but I get bored also so this is a great idea
This is such a fun idea! I JUST started to crochet this weekend, so this is a perfect opportunity. I am going to start October 1 (but using your videos in order). SO EXCITING! Thank you!
This is so funny that you put this video out because I have been trying to find a video on a stich sampler so I could get ideas for a temperature blanket 😅 😂. Thank you so much for doing this now I can do it and not stress out about it anymore.
Haha that is such an amazing coincidence! I love when things work out like this! 😊🧡🧶
I have always wanted to do a temperature blanket and I was searching for ideas over the weekend and stumbled upon your channel. I love the idea of doing this together and in a sampler blanket. I will be gifting this to my daughter for her 25th birthday in December. I also ordered the cute color card on Etsy you mentioned. I thought I would give it to her when I gift her the blanket so she can see what each color represents. I have ordered my yarn and can't wait to get started.
This sounds like so much fun! I’ll have my yarn ready to go by Jan 3rd! Thank you so much. ♥️
I just started 1 month ago and I can’t wait to do this with you!!!
Thanks for giving me an exciting goal for the year!
You are most welcome Wilma! So excited to make this project with you! 😊🧡🧶
I made a temp. blanket during covid using worsted weight yarn. I also did a different pattern every 10 rows. Mine was knit so some color changes were on the wrong side which made “dots” in the pattern. I would def crochet if I made another one. With 365 days it turned out long enough to cover me from shoulder to feet. I’m wondering how large your bulky weight one will be. Cozy to say the least. Will be fun to watch. I am in BC (southwest Canada)
This is a wonderful idea Tiffany. I don’t think I am going to be able to make it this year but I will definitely be following along with your CAL and monthly stitch sampler. We have a big move happening in 2023. Looking forward to the CAL Take care and thank you ⭐️❤
I can’t believe I found you!! I already decided to do a blanket for 2023 and BOUGHT THE SAME YARNS AND COLORS YESTERDAY! I’m grateful to be along for the ride with you! ❤️. I’m in Texas so I’m concerned about how the temps are always warm…
Will you use the average daily temp or the hi versus low?
I live here in Texas too and have noticed that the winters get very color and the summers get very hot. I am actually super curious how this blanket will turn out. I'm planning on using the daily High Temperature but honestly you can use what ever temp you want as long as you stay consistent throughout the project. 😊🧡🧶
YES!!!! This was on my 2023 bucket list and I love that we get to do this together!!! It took several lists of temps to get the right combo. I too was going to do the 10 degree range, but like my hubby pointed out - we don't get too many cold days. so i finally settled on 20 degree increments instead. And of course because I have no color pallet imagination, I went with the good ole' standby - primary color rainbow. I was going to use a moss stitch, but I will jump on the bandwagon and try the stitch a month with you as well. And the coolest part - we will have similar temps!!!!
YAY Bobbi!!!! HAha, yes we will have similar blankets if not identical. 😂 So excited for you to join in and make this project with me!! 🤗🧡🧶
My heart leapt when I heard you were in Texas. I love the palette you laid out too. Going on a trip to Hobby Lobby right now! P.S. When I saw you were in Flower Mound I was extra excited because I’m from Richardson. We’re practically neighbors.
Hey Tiffany this is a great idea. I've never done one either and January would be a great time to start it with you. 😄
