You are a gift from heaven! The included instructions are HORRENDOUS and you've saved me tears and time. I'm not done yet, but I would NOT have figured all of what you showed on my own...
Thanks, this was SUPER helpful. I have a slightly different model (Fairfax) - how did you know where to put the under mounts? One of my sides seems to stay in well, while the other is looser (slides a bit) even after filling.
Appreciated the video as I had no previous experience with a cover lifter. Pretty simply concept actually. QUESTION: Exactly how many inches from the plastic tub wall to the outside edge of the side pipe? OR what is the diameter of the side pipe and then what's the measurement between the tub side wall and the pipe? That sum would should be the same as the first requested measurement. And one more measurement...the distance between the plastic tub wall and the tip of the longest bolt? Thanks very much!!!
with the tub empty we were able to lift a corner and slide each side in. It is a two person job. one to lift and the other to slide it into place. you could use a dolly to help lift the tub.
@@magroctv9031 thanks for that! Do you think using a pry bar to lift it is feasible? My only concern is cracking the tub frame. The hot tub weighs 990lb too.
After you slide the mount under the hottub, did you drill the lower mount into the siding of the tub? Or just the weight of the tub when filled holds the lifter?
The poor written instructions that came with mine talk about "Mounting Brackets" that serve as the hinge and are fastened to the side of the tub with screws. My lifter came with a separate box that included 2 "Under Mount Brackets" and specifically say that they are held in place by the weight of the filled tub. They are not attached with screws.

I agree with other commenters: The written instructions are terrible and your video is a life saver. thanks
I rarely comment on videos but this one saved me. The instructions in the box are junk but this video made it easy. Thank you for posting!
Thank you!! The instructions that came with it were pure garbage. This video really helped!!

Thank you! Those instructions not only required a magnifying glass but they were not very helpful even when i could see them.
This video is GOLD!!!! Thank you!!! The manual from Aquaterra is basically trash haha - and this was helpful
Good instructions!

Go Griz, thanks for the help
No problem 👍
Thank you so much!
Great video - thank you! What is the model of lifter in this video? I need to order and this one looks great!
I ordered it right from Aqua Terra - I talked to the sales manager and he pointed me to the right one. Sorry don't have the exact name.
How much clearance do you need where the cover is being stood up? Like 2 feet?
How did you get it under the tub?

I managed it (solo) with a crow bar, but it was cumbersome.
Has anybody else had the issue of the stopper bending/breaking? This has happened twice now in 2 years for me.
Thanks for the video! How close to a wall can the hot tub be and this still work?
We have two feet of space from the wall and the tub and there is plenty of room for the lid to fit.
