Great help. Ive got the same tub coming in a couple weeks. Ive just had a new patio layed and they have put a fall on it for water drain off.How far out of level is your tub mate?
Where did you get those measurements for the mounting bracket? My instructions don’t say anything. I plan on just assembling everything then seeing where the side mounting bracket will want to sit best. Where the round hole side is positioned on yours, you won’t be able to remove the corner panel if needed unless you remove all the screws, thus weakening the hole. That can’t be right so I would remove the pipe on each side rather than weakening the screw holes. BTW lots of Amazon reviews show the end with the 2 round holes breaking off after the 1st use up to a couple of weeks and months. Most likely because the cover is old and water logged making it really heavy. I plan to fill the backside cavity around the 2 round hole areas and to the left of it with Permatex Plastic Welder that hardens like a rock in 10 minutes for extra strength. It also comes in black and this stuff can be drilled, filed and sanded if needed. I filled in cracks on my black console in my Camaro and added the plastic for where mounting clips slide in for the rear ashtray. I will just syringe the 2 parts into the hole, stir it up, then let it sit for each cavity rather than mixing a bunch up and trying to get it down into each cavity space which could get messy. Remember this stuff hardens in 10 min. I would think the correct position to mount the brackets would be to line up the bottom bracket just above the horizontal panel groove. You don’t want to screw into the groove cause there is less material.
The instructions I got with it didn't make any sense, so I think I used their measurements then made adjustments on the fly. I have had no issues with it and have been using it since 2019. It has been covered in snow, rained on constantly and used regularly with no breaking of any of the components (other than the caps coming off the tops of the self-tapping screws. I've just been out and had a look at the corner post and it looks like there is enough of a gap for it to come off, but you can always drop the bracket or move it inwards slightly, there is plenty of play in the bar for adjustment (Longer if you drop the bracket more). I like the idea of strengthening the plastic if you feel it might break
Thanks for the video! :-) It helped a lot. But you did'nt need to drill with the 4 mm in the arms, since the screws are self tapping. Just screw them in, and they drills through by themselves. Another thing, it depends on the tub if you should put in the longest ot shortest end of the bends into the middle part. My tub is smaller, so I had to do the opposite of what you did.
Question I’ve been trying to figure out…do the brackets have to be screwed into wood? Or just some of them? Or is the plastic shell enough to support the weight?
This might be a daft question but I am curious... the screws at the bottom of the brackets, is there a gap the tub frame? My first thought is drop it a cm or 2 to fix it to the panel. I fitted mine much lower which it still works, I didn't want to have the back high up in case my kids leaned on it. I wish this video was out much earlier.
I used your exact measurements on a bit smaller tub and butchered it. The top bar extends to far over the center of the cover...by nine inches. I could cut the poles I guess. Also when the cover is in stowed position it will be cantered towards the hot tub. Completely botched. Cheers mate.
Thank you so much simples when you know how. As you said the instructions they give you are a complete waste of time thank you again as I would never have completed this task without watching your video 👍👍👍👍
Great video, helped me get mine installed and didn't have to put any thinking into it! The instructions that came with mine, although using English words, didn't appear to be written by someone who knew how to speak english or who had ever actually put this thing together. It was nonsensical
Hi, great video, my lifter (same as yours arrived this morning) couple of questions - does it matter which panel/side of hot tub you fit the lifter to ? And did you drill a pilot hole for the bracket screws first ? Or just straight into the panel with the screw - if that makes sense. Thanks.
You should be fine fitting it to any side of the Hot Tub, so that you can have the tub facing whichever way you want depending on the seating. And no, no pilot holes for the brackets onto the side panels (pilot hols when you are putting the self tappers in on the poles though 👍)
Hi, just been out and looked at the tub. I would say that the positioning of the brackets will remain the same, any adjustment for the size of the Tub is in the poles. Hope that helps
Watched this from New Zealand. Purchased a spa and found this video to be super helpful. Thank you
Glad you found it helpful, 👌
Thanks for the video. I was completely stuck. watched your video twice & it worked like a dream. Alan
Glad it helped 👍🏻😁
great video, thanks very much. Much simpler to follow than the paper instructions.
Thank you from all the way over in New Zealand - way easier to follow than included instructions!
Many thanks for that Duncan 👍🏻
Thank you very much!
Great quality and helpful instructions
Thanks for that 👍🏻😁
Thanks for good advice as you say instructions as much use as a chocolate fire guard.
Great video, like you said the single sheet of paper that is the instruction manual is awful.
Awwww, thanks 😁👍
Great video, thanks. Gives me the confidence to do it myself. Thanks again.
Thank you, Relatively easy and straightforward when you get started. Good luck👍😁
Great help. Ive got the same tub coming in a couple weeks. Ive just had a new patio layed and they have put a fall on it for water drain off.How far out of level is your tub mate?
Its out of level by about an inch front to back but that more for the run off for the patio.
I have a piece of 1 inch batten underneath the hot tub to get it level on my patio.
Thank you for this super helpful video. It should save me a lot of head scratching.

I got cold watching you!! Thanks for the tutorial-
You’re awesome. Thanks for taking the time to make this. Super helpful.
Thanks for that great demonstration. I'm off to home to do the same thing. Thank you.

Just the plastic, works perfectly. 👍😁

If I understand correctly Anthony, there is no gap
Great help !
Thank you so much for the video, made life a lot simpler
thanks for making the effort to do this vid - helps me install mine -cheers
Thanks for that Lee 👍
Great video. One question. Do you ever have a need to take that panel off? If so what do you do?
Not had to take it off, but it should be no problem to unscrew the bracket if I did need to remove it
I would remove the pipe on each side rather than weakening the holes for the screws.

I know, the instructions were terrible 🤣🤣👍
Thank you so much!

Thank you for that, and agreed on the instructions 👍🏻
Thanks so much for the vid! Instructions that came with it were pretty much useless!
Easy to do once you know though 😁👍
How much clearance did you need in the back? I only have 10 inches
Hi, I've got 14" at the back and even that is a tight fit unfortunately. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news
Thanks so much. Great job.

@@CloughReviews thank you so much for your advice, really appreciated. Take care. Michael
thx m8 thx to you it worked out well for me
Sorry to bother, would the measurements be different at the start depending on the size of the tub.

@@CloughReviews thanks
Very helpful, thanks
