Every time I watch one of your videos I'm like, "Wellllll I already watched one of Chad's videos with a similar title, so probably I already know this. I guess I'll give it a try." But by the end I'm scribbling notes furiously like "Oh my gosh, I never thought of that. BRILLIANT!" So many valuable ideas here. Thanks for making the world more fun for attendees + facilitators alike.
Hahaha! I try to repeat as little as possible. Which means that there is about 16 hours of original content spread across the channel! Ha. Just created this free series as well in case that is useful to have a few in one place: weand.me/ingredients-for-virtual-engagement-video-training/
It amazes me that as we are using virtual platforms more, very few people have researched how to do it well. I'm amazed. Thank you, Chad for all you do to keep us engaged.
🙏 Many thanks, Becky! I had many awkward failures and uncomfortable moments along the journey to get to this place. People who get good at something usually were just really big failures for a long time I think, haha!
Thanks, Denise! I appreciate that lots. Let me know if you have any specific video topic requests as I continue to publish weekly videos. And will actually be doing a UA-cam Livestream for the first time today as well: ua-cam.com/video/jlR-eHFvqsg/v-deo.html
@@chad.littlefield I am with Toastmsters and we are now meeting virtually. We are also looking for new members. I thought if I made it fun, people would join us. Thanks for being there.
@@DeniseRufinAlonzo fantastic! We! Connect Cards are used by many, many Toastmasters groups around the country actually! They make wonderful openers for impromptu speeches.
Love hearing this! Thanks for taking the time to connect here. There are about 150+ more videos like this one on the channel. Glad to be officially linked.
Thanks, Jessica! Looking forward to seeing you in the comments more :-) I've been trying to be deliberate about responding to questions too, so ask away as new videos come out-which is daily. - Chad
I like the map pictures in the background. Good way of reminding you that you shouldn't just accept the "standard" view of the world. Who is to say which way is "up"?
Indeed, I had a teacher in 7th grade hang his map "upside down." And it blew my little middle school brain to REALLY realize that we are just little specs flinging around space on a little blue marble. Decided to hang them that way to remind me that the world is malleable.
Absolutely! We put this playlist together specifically to help answer your questions though: ua-cam.com/play/PLBasE1jaWznEotMcgwUY08L-I0mlcDaft.html It is packed with ideas and resources to make webinars and remote workshops more engaging.
I really enjoyed your video, suggested by a colleague. The "cover" of your video made me thing it was not worth watching -- not credible; wacky -- but I really enjoyed your content.
Great feedback, Linda! Thanks for sharing. I'll let the thumbnail team know. To be honest, I don't always love our thumbnails either, but I try to stay out of that decision making process too too much, ha! Was it the text or the image?

You rock, @Leslie! Virtual is not a band aid or a temporary fix, so it's worth investing in some learning for sure! - Chad
I am amazed that virtual meeting has elements that can be better than in person meetings!
You are a rock star in virtual meetings! Love your energy and casual delivery.

Very engaging, love the 'why' and the very applicable strategies - thank you Chad!
It's always so much better to leave a video with something concrete and applicable! Glad you found value. Good to be connected, MH!
Very engaging - way to model the way for us newbies. Thanks Chad

Might these tips work well during webinars and virtual workshops and if so how?

I wish Teams would allow you to hide self view. 😒
You and me both!! In the meantime...sticky note haha?
