I laughed out loud because when I saw 9 minutes I right away changed this to 1.5 speed. Thanks for not making me feel bad. 😅 And truthfully its because I'm off to watch several more after. Thanks for the info! Love it!
Love hearing this, Annie Morris. Much appreciated! Would love to know a bit more about the context you are coming from. As I always enjoy personalizing my videos to the folks that enjoy and watch them.
I love the envelope method-going to use that for staff training this summer, and I like the idea of creating the environment where wisdom reveals itself
Dear Chad, thanks for you precious shared thoughts! I like Frayer method or model. I use it often and both students and trainees like it. Best wishes from Bucharest!
This was great and I realize that it was recorded in May and I am just getting to it and it spoke to so many of the things that I think about when I am at a meeting. My nugget is the What are we all committed to in one word. If we state our intention right up front I think we would have a clearer and more concise meeting. Thanks so much.
Getting clear about intent (even if it is just that theme word) allows us to "meet for purpose-not for time." And thattt is a wonderful gift to busy people :-)
Thanks for this lesson, Chad. Speakership is a book I now want to check out. NUGGET: My biggest takeaway was the Envelope Method. It's a great way to make sure you're boiling your presentation/session down to key essentials. Love the previewing of big 3 early on and the call to action in the Envelope Method as well. #Envelope4thewin
As always, so helpful! Thank you! Virtual feels difficult for me...still. These are practical tips I can apply...like next week. So appreciate your good content and wonderful delivery :).
So glad you found this valuable! Thanks for dropping a comment to let me know. It's like fuel on the fire to continue making great stuff available for free to all.
Yes. Even if there is a slight groan from a group, they'll be glad they didn't sit around doing nothing listening to ideas they'll never implement. There is some friction to participation, but it's vastly better for the brain!
Love the curiosity here. The word is: Isumataq. From my current understanding, it can be translated to mean: the person who creates the environment in which wisdom reveals itself.
Funny. This is one of three videos we tested out using a gimbal. The rest of the 400 videos on the channel are on a tripod... That said, I imagine "vlogs" where the camera is handheld create an instant trip to bathroom for you if this movement made you sick! It is interesting to me how the "trend" of video, especially short vertical video, is handheld, super shaky with fast, jarring cuts.
@@chad.littlefield I don't know what shaky videos you watch but if you can't realized the face tracking is off putting then I suggest you think of a different career path, or learn to sit in one place rather than moving your head like a bubble head.
@@Xikor-AF thank you for the compelling inspiration. Maybe I'll lean into the irony and start carving custom bobble* head dolls and selling them on Etsy instead of my current track.
Listening fast is ok, yay!

Haha, love it! I like to keep it real, Sara. Glad to connect here in the comments.
Love the envelope method and the new book in my Amazon cart lol🎉
Wow! I am ready to take this information from interesting to applied.....before I present two hours from now.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Would love to hear how it goes!
Trank you so much your short and condense information! You are doing a great job 👍🏼😊

Isn't that a fun framing! Just even mentioning it and talking about it begins to create that ethos and environment with a group I think.
Thanks Chad! ;-) I will try out the envelope and the google method, the next time I have to facilitate or present.
Love to hear this!
Thank you for all the presentation it is an eye opening to me

Ha! Thanks 👍👍

So glad the Envelope Method was so sticky for you! Thanks for commenting by the way. Looking forward to "seeing" you here in future videos.
Your energy
I am interested in the speakership book. I'm going to ty the envelope method
Awesome, Ruth. You can actually download the Speakership book via PDF right here on one of the author's websites: www.mattchurch.com/books
I am confused with your expectations. Please advise on books that can give detailed steps on presentation

Envelope method - classroom teaching adults - I think it gives opportunity to offer start engagement or research?
For sure. It creates a simple framework to chunk and organization information into a digestible format.
Like The Google method
Fun, right! Thanks for connecting here :-)
today is April 25th, I'm not Siri but this is a reminder, even though this might has been 2 years ago haha.
Haha :-)
Getting auditors or attendees to actually DO something increase their learning.

I like the 350 words per minute info
Isn't that wild!
What was the word for the Google method?!

Now I know why ppl are not paying attention or keep interrupting speeches. It’s because they want to be engaged for contribution.
It takes the heavy lifting off of you as the presenter anyhow. It's easier to be interested than interesting.
That peoples attention spans are short.
Your camera skills give me motion sickness
