I'm happy you enjoy the video! This feels like old school Final Fantasy with more versatility making it more fun! As an old school FF fan myself, it's very enjoyable :)
There were two ways in particular that I have been able to easily maximize on damage in Bravely Default II. Some of my favorite ones were in here but as I’ve seen they have required extensive set ups. The first way is an elemental build with the Red Mage. The gear isn’t THAT important but you obviously want to maximize your magic attack. Prioritizing luck is also good and you’ll see why. You should also dual wield staves to maximize your stats. As for skills, you’ll obviously want bigger numbers so equip Sub-Job Speciality 2 with freelancers as your secondary job (good for more magic attack and luck). Magic critical and critical amp for the increased damage that you’ll be doing (this is why luck will be your friend). Dual wield so that you are gaining the maximum value from your staves. And surpassing power because we’ll be dealing a LOT of damage (upwards to 30-40k crits without stat enhancements). The strategy doesn’t get much more complicated than using all your brave points and firing away with either Disaster, Quake, or Tornado. Chainspell will ensure that this build does maximum damage. Make whatever adjustments you think is necessary, this is rather rushed, so I know that there are ways to maximize the damage.
I liked swordmaster - vanguard: swordmaster second specialty gives subclass specialties if you dualwield weapons of the same type; so benefits from the massive atk boost from vanguard second specialty set up with fluid stance andfluid flow from swordmaster, can use enrage to be targeted by boss (and counters) and with red mage revenge passie you'll get good amount of bp to get neo strikes in rotation thrust and parry passive from salve maker goes nice with that too for dmg reduction on all the hits you'll take and rest of your party wont be targetted with single target counters if you keep enrage up a usefull healer has been salve maker - oracle use no weapons or shield for second salve maker passive and heal item amp and with wide item xpotions will heal all party for 5k and ethers will give whole party 320 mp free turns from the speed boost from not having any weapons or shield equipped you can use hastega on your other party members

So i tried something new and it yielded amazing results. This can be pretty much done on anyone. I tried it on elvis even though most of my buns went into magic attack. I made him a monk/hellblade for the high hp. Red mage hp/mp converter, maximise hp, surpassing power, sub job 1. With this combo i do 99999 damage with every hit of ultima blade. I use a staff for damage since monk has an A rank in it. Just something to try in your spare time
I am happy you re enjoying them :) I have a whole video series on Bravely Default 2 if you're interested: ua-cam.com/play/PLBEfNCPWJLJdvT8UfrG1np-1ZY5Hp6Uv2.html How are you enjoying BD2 so far?
I also use that ability that increases damage done by the amount braved x10% That and bp saver and beatsmaster and something multihit or pressure point from monk, big numbers for big gains
Hellblade Ultima sword. Then use advanced compounding from salve maker use ether then 2 blooms to make elixir then hellblade Ultima sword again and another advanced compounding. As for abilities: surpassing power, the bravebearers all for one? Would enough. You could do 199,998 damage per character and no setup required
One thing to keep in mind is that any attack buff, passive or active, is to the stat directly, and it can't go higher than 999, so anything involving vanguard likely doesn't need much extra buffing for example. Crit buffing and equipping is absolutely worth it imo since crit amp is a percentage buff to damage and you can get the crit stat pretty damn close to 100 allowing you to crit a majority of the time since the stat basically represents a percentage chance.
That is very true! I heard that the STR state does not surpass 999 and anything beyond it falls off. Crit is harder to max out so investing in crit abilities can be more advantageous. How are you enjoying Bravely Default 2 so far?
@@PoogieBoogie Oh I'm totally in love lmao! I'm taking on the portal bosses atm and these legendary classes are so good. Beast master beast whisper also really good i always use it, as well as more money and 1 more passive both from gambler that increase the chance for enemies to drop rare items. Always use those 3. So money is no issue, rare items drops frequently and having healthy stocks of monsters to use, not to mention every monster catched increase every status by 1 for beastmaster job and the status increase is permanent.
I just discovered Godspeed strike is already game-breakingly powerful and I haven't even gotten past Folie yet. I like to use Raw Power and MP Saver cuz Raw Power says I get an attack boost for each time I use the brave command. I even found the Brimstone Stallion, that drops the speed booster buns, and started grinding those cuz I heard it gets crazy once you get surpassing power and max speed.
@@PoogieBoogie Oh yeah. I know one that's also as good. In the tower where you fight Galahad, there's blue wolves called Hellhounds that also drop them as a rare drop. It's easy to chain encounters with them with beast flesh and get a lot. Of course, either location will get infinity better once you get the Thief's Gloves.
I don't know how some can do this but for a mage setup Ultimate magic attack build you need oracle? The job which can use triple. Then a bard, pictomancer, freelancer. I like to use red mage/oracle I use elemental impairment to make them vulnerable to earth and spam disaster 8x for around 20k a pop on crits so long as they are not wind resistant. Indiscriminate rage works well with swordmaster/beastmaster solid stance turning your 4 hits to 8 on all targets for mobbing and can throw in multitask for free extra hits. Add critical flow and your usually full on BP every turn if your crit rate is high enough. I'm pretty sure who dares win will lower your crit rate if you have it high with base stats. Does anyone know if Surpassing Power works with Skeleton Sellswords? Granted, all the time I spent leveling my Jobs and collecting Monsters has my levels in the 90s by the end of Chapter 2, and I need to change off of Beastmaster in order to use Booster Buns. That said, I can only assume that once I unlock Hellblade, there are still enough HP sponges left for these guys to still have a use.
R talking about USING the pet skeleton sellsword and asking if surpassing power applies to them. If so im not sure since i dont use pets. Good question tho
@@boebie5052 The trick with the Skeleton Sellswords is that they do damage equal to half the enemy's current health, up to the damage cap. swordmaster/vanguard, slap on indiscriminate something, drain attack, counter, multitask Spirit master/salve maker pretty much unkillable and can bring the crew back close to full health in 2 moves phantom/thief as if UOENO that
I have a video explaining the Beast Master 2nd Special Ability! Feel free to check it out: ua-cam.com/video/toXqf8fHuuw/v-deo.html I had max HP and MP really early on in the game AND my other stats were nothing t sneeze at :)
At cLv 12, Beastmaster gains bonus stats based on how many monsters you have captured. Get 99 of each type of monster you come across (skipping monsters that only show up 1 or 2 at a time) and your Beastmasters will be God Tier well before the end of Chapter 2. I am at the point where I need to switch to a different class in order to apply my Booster Buns.
Questions: 1). Um, level 99? Got a strat for doing this at more realistic levels? 2). You don't mention how many beasts you have captured for the Beastmasters. Good ideas but you need to give a bit more info, especially for characters in that 60 or so range. Not max level. Kinda pointless to do any of this at max level.
These are the strats that were given to me from the community and strats that I used. These strats are not level dependent. Never the less, the strats still hold up if you try them out :) If you try some of the strategies from the video below, you'll notice that keeping track of the mobs captured would a tedious and arduous process. But, I do break down what you get for every mob to four mobs captured: ua-cam.com/video/JVZ1CESx3sk/v-deo.html

@@Starcat5 ah so they r like the gravity spells from FF. Try it out it might work
@@boebie5052 ...except that I mentioned that I am currently between chapters 2 and 3, meaning that I am still quite a distance away from unlocking Hellblade and able to do said testing. Hence my asking in the first place.
@@Starcat5 ah well....since i dont use beastmaster or have captured any pets i couldnt help sorry
swordmaster/vanguard, slap on indiscriminate something, drain attack, counter, multitask
Spirit master/salve maker pretty much unkillable and can bring the crew back close to full health in 2 moves
phantom/thief as if UOENO that
Arcanist and red mage for 99,999x5 (x2 for red mage passive) (x4 brave) up to 4m damage from one character
Why using beastmaster everytime? I rather be a freelancer.
Any reason? thx!!

Ima hit like a truck now homie
Mow 'em down!
Holy crap its been 2 year since this game came out, im losing track of time
How did you get 9999 stats ???
At cLv 12, Beastmaster gains bonus stats based on how many monsters you have captured. Get 99 of each type of monster you come across (skipping monsters that only show up 1 or 2 at a time) and your Beastmasters will be God Tier well before the end of Chapter 2. I am at the point where I need to switch to a different class in order to apply my Booster Buns.
Yep! Beastmaster's great! If you want more info:
I have a video about it here: ua-cam.com/video/JVZ1CESx3sk/v-deo.html

Questions:
Never the less, the strats still hold up if you try them out :)
If you try some of the strategies from the video below, you'll notice that keeping track of the mobs captured would a tedious and arduous process. But, I do break down what you get for every mob to four mobs captured:
