great vid! no joke i did the same thing, spammed pressure point with sub job bp saver the whole way through, only i relied on the freelancer perk with all jobs maxed. cakewalk. that was the most straightforward “broken” build conceptually, for me, but the one you show in this vid is nuts lol. love that this game rewards creative thinking with jobs, passives, and abilities.
Ik this is late but the Blessing shield can cast cura infinitely as an item when equipped so all you really need to do is sub hellblade on any job you want (maybe bravebearer idk) and give them blessing. If you give equips to boost restorative power your curas can heal well enough that you have another max damage ultima sword. I like this for grinding the special weapons.
Lmao, reminds me of when I finally beat Alduin in Skyrim for the first time. For a harbinger of the apocalypse he sure is allergic to dual-wielding maces.
@@BlipsnPips Hey that gives me an idea. BD2 is one of them obviously, but what are some of your other favorite games with cool exploits like that? Enough to make a vid?
Hmmm, I mean some games have broken weapons and stuff, but I can't think of many other games I've played with super broken builds... I know I had some good set ups in monster hunter world but nothing like this
@@BlipsnPips I mean that's what I'm talking about basically; things that are "hidden" like the Crissaegrim in SOTN that makes the game trivial. In the Souls-like genre Magic is typically very powerful, possibly to the point of one-shotting bosses; although I've never tried to make a build like that myself.
Have beaten it. Just literally maxed every characters stats out. If anything can even hit me, does like 40 damage. Haven’t done the super secret boss yet.
also, you forgot to mention that the Monk unlocks another passive ability calles Maximise hp, which doubles your hp in battle. (letting you have 19998). I think you can't do more than 99999 damage, but this worked for me nice enough when doing it with the bravebearer and the ability that does damage with the 75% of the current hp
@BlipsnPips I insist, I don't know if you can deal more than 99,999 damage, but being the case, you could do more with Ultima Sword a Maximise HP (first tho you need to heal them all the way to 19,998 because they start with 9,999 wven with the passive)
The game hard caps you at 99999 damage. Doing the math for Ultima Blade at the soft HP cap should actually score somewhere in the 300k range if there was no cap.
Very cool! Except it's eccentially a tutorial to beat the end game bosses with weapons dropped from them in the first place, and with abilities unlocked after beating them.
It's a tutorial on how to hit 99999 aoe every turn. But to your point, once you have the ability there is nothing (except the final boss and secret boss) to use it on. Kinda like one punch man.... nothing left.... its lonely at the top lol
I'm lvl 50... just realized 1. You can equip passive abilities.... 2. You can sing the same song and that stacks... I wish I found this video way sooner. HahAahA.
Hey My friend question. 2 years later ofcourse and i just got into this game. i beat the game and i am at the proper 15 level for HellBlade yet this Portal and a few others are not activated. Why is that? did I miss something or i have to beat the portals that are available in certain orders. i know i beat one portal which gave me the option to level up hellblade to level 15 my Salvemakar is maxed to 12 which means there is a portal i missed.
Man..... I wish I remembered.... it was so long ago.... maybe it was tied to post game completion? I feel like they got unlocked in groups of 4... but it was forever ago
That's one of the few final fantasy games I couldn't get into.... up there with 13 (I stopped when you're forced to play as sahz and Vanille only) and the mmos
Still haven't decided if im going to get the game or not. Never finished the first and never played bravely second. I just wasn't really into the 3ds. I love my switch and i love jrpgs so im still deciding.
I 100% completed it in around 60 hours, and tbh a lot of my early habitual grinding was a waste of time, you can beat the game in the 40s and with that build I show I grinded level 70-99 in less than an hour while maxing every job. So if you are a completionist it isn't too bad
Bravely default 2 is the worst in the series so far. Bravely second is the best in my opinion, but some people would maybe argue bravely default is better, but I think Bravely second just has a more optimized way to farm and has a lot of the repetitive aspects in the story cut way down.
Got a super easy setup with FF III. Locke with genji and offering + Valiant Knife and Wing edge at 1000 hp, Rem with Control relic, Gogo mimic, Celes gembox/economizer x2 ultima. Just steam rolling everything right now. I'm sure someone else has a better setup but this one, I just hold A button down.
I'm making a game for the Switch but I still don't have a retail Switch to play on yet XD My gift to myself when I ship Skycadia on Switch is to buy a retail version finally, but now I'm wondering if I should wait if there's a new version coming out!
I'm gonna be honest when I was recording this I had the same exact question. I think it has something to do with that ability that brings everyone back, I think that acts as a full reset
So I can’t get the secret dragon boss fight to trigger. What am I missing? I beaten the game twice now and have gotten all three endings twice as well. Is it a side quest or something?
Hmm.... I just walked up to it and pressed A (there is no prompt) the only other thing I can think of in that area, the grass next to the Graves has one of those hidden rare enemies and I had beaten him previously, maybe he acts as a key of you hadn't beat him yet?
@@BlipsnPips well I guessing it’s a side quest, I haven’t really done any of those this play through. I have beaten yourmagander, which is that monster in the grass your talking about. I dunno. I can’t seem to find anything on the web about it either. Maybe it’s bugged for me who knows.
This MAY sound dumb, so don't think I'm being insulting (but this happened to me and a friend) are you making sure you are selecting AOE after choosing your move? It is a separate button prompt you have to push
Idk if this was intentional, but the video not showcasing what you are specifically talking about is really confusing as I (as I'm sure many other filthy casuals) do not know every ability/passive in the game. Just saying some synergy between you talking and what the video shows would go a long way to being more informative and "user friendly".
Oh man my bad. In my defense slightly, all of the stuff I am showing is like EXTREMELY end game... like you can only do this stuff right before the final boss, so at that point I kinda figured you'd know what I'm talking about. I'll know for next time, thanks!
Dude I was not going to take this serious until I saw the Lunar game in the background for PS1. Now I have subscribed!
Hey, that's awesome!

Good to know, I have currently decimated that game and don't plan on going back any time real soon, but good to know for a future playthrough
Game is hands down worth full price
Speaking truths out here
That is amazing. I love making broken builds and exploiting the system to the max.
I like how besides the abilities ypu need from weapons to make it perfect, stats actually don't matter with this build lol
Also true in real life.
These videos are great, you've done an awesome job keeping consistent on uploading high quality content, looking forward to your next video!
Thanks! I love getting awesome feedback, spoiler today's video is.... very long
Great build - one note; if you're farming the rare class weapons do NOT equip rare talent, the rare slot of those fights is Giant JP orb.
Good way to level jobs if you haven't maxed em yet!
Good sir. Thank you so much for this
I was farming so much with all characters having rare talent. No wonder the drops are always JP orbs

Hahaha one punch man syndrome
Plus having max speed makes your characters go like 5 times before the opponent, even without the spearhead.
My equivalent of Pressure Point was Body Slam.
Good substitute

so basically Monk/Bard?
For early game, YES
Someone obliterate monster food and farm those exp birds in multiple fights ive capped exp from those

How didnt u go to -3 BP after dying with Hellblade?
