- One of the big draws of coming to Kyiv, Ukraine is the amazing nightlife and bar scene. Even during lockdown a lot of bars and clubs are still open secretly through side doors. Here's what it looks like inside two of my favorite bars, as well as what my thoughts and impressions are of night life in the capital city of Kyiv, Ukraine overall.

Kyiv (Kiev) has a vibrant nightlife scene with bars and clubs spread across the city. Garish casinos and strip clubs may be commonplace but there is still a diversity of good quality entertainment for night owls, from barge parties to underground jazz venues.
Sounds great, apart from the strip clubs and casinos.

It has changed a lot since the collapse of the soviet union. in my time(st.Petersburg-75-90), bars were full of smoke, prostitutes, and drunken people, and crowdy. I have been in those bars 2-3 times. For students find girls weren't difficult. Sometimes went 4 stars hotel restaurant and have some food and drinks. That time general Russian pops couldn't enter any hotel there. But I could take girlfriends there and police or uniform guards always check IDs for the Russians. The best drinking pubs are in the UK(many of them family-oriented) and I visited them many times during the summers mostly. I don't drink at all for 20 years due to I take medicine and have a heart problem. Kyiv is a great city and I have visited twice in the late '70s and '80s. I can see in your video the independence Monument.

In USA there’s no fixed real estate rate?! It’s between 1-7%, depends where u live I guess. Redfin charges 1% BUT it literally does nothing except listing ur house on their site etc.

For foreigners nightlife Kiev (Ukraine) is all about money, drinks and ladies! A lot of Turkish men fly to Ukraine for a weekend to enjoy!

@@Papa_Baphomet what do you mean? Are there a lot of prostitutes? I know that there are many ukrainians who work as escorts in western countries but i doubt any of them females shown in this video in kyiv are "available", they seem to be the ones that are well off
@@Hallo81398 There are a lot of women with "low social responsibilities" here. You can order them via various websites. As far as I know they don't usually look for clients in resturants. But if they do, I assume, it should be way more classy ones.

Even though I'm watching all your videos from the comfort of home, I'm still having trouble adjusting. Warm, open, green shores of Sri Lanka to the cold, crowded, city life of Kiev is quite a jump. If there are 4 phases to culture adjustment (Honeymoon, Crisis, Recovery, Adjustment) I've gone straight to Crisis.
