  • I replace the AC/Heater Blend Door Actuator on my 2016 Ford F-150 XLT Crew Cab truck. It was not as easy as expected but certainly very doable for most people.

You my friend are my hero! When I got mine hooked up the floor setting was the defroster, defroster was face, etc. I took the actuator off 3 times hit some buttons, tried removing the fuse, etc. And couldn’t get everything synced right.
Watched your video set the gears to the floor. Pressed floor button with actuator plugged in. Then reinstalled and it worked perfect!
    Thank you!!q

Is your truck a dual zone climate control? If so it does has more than one module, I believe. Which might explain your issue. My truck is single zone. The other thing I did not see you mention is that you actually plugged in the actuator and then selected the floor button before you actually instailled the part. That is about all I can think of.

@ i do have dual climate. i figured it was this actuator because i hit it with pliers and it started working again and then a week later quit again. and i feel like ive tried everything lol just not sure what i was doing wrong. and yes i plugged it in and hit the button then moved gears to what button was showing

@@codydelaney9817 I think your issue getting things to sync up has to do with your truck being dual zone. As I understand it, it has more than one actuator and maybe even another module or something that has to be synced some how. Sadly I don't have a good answer for you as my truck does not have dual zone and I am not a mechanic. I think there are some other videos on UA-cam that deal specifically with the dual zone setup. I would suggest looking for those using dual zone in your search. Wish I could be more help.

@@steveboykin5774 thank you for the comment. I can tell you the part is listed as the blend door actuator. I do know the dual zone climate control models are different
