    There are many words that can be used after this film, but starting from putting your feet on the track, choosing the equipment, logistics, fighting with your body, absolutely finesse, fast, flawless operation of the camera... Yes, here you have to use one word EXPERIENCE!

    Yeah, the fatigue of "in between" locations and shots is a real thing even on non-24 hour events. Personally, I don't even eat more than maybe 1 small bag of chips during motorsport events because it slows me down... much like a caffeine crash

      @@jameypricephoto The 500mm is still an awesome lens - in the past I have covered three day horse events (UK) and that was also very intensive work. Please continue with providing us with your sports tips and tricks

      @@jameypricephoto I was thinking it looked good! I’ve been trying to do more at the track, I only shoot twice a year. Like you, I’m privileged to the people and places that I can go and most don’t get to see. I tried using my canon with a wide angle but it’s just super hard to do but my phone was easy.
      You tell the story very well! I can’t wait to watch your other videos past and future!
      What do you shoot with? Canon? Nikon?

    In 2023, they had way too many people surging onto the grid for the grid walk, so I believe they extended the time for the gridwalk this year to prevent the near crowd crush they had in 2023. That is why it felt so long this year.

    I have a kinda dumb question for the photos at 42:43 Why is the guard rail in the photo? Is it to draw attention to the car or something else? To my (noob) eye, it takes away part of the car and covers the road. I’d love to know why.

      @@quinnmarchionini7997 photography is an art. To each their own. I find the rail foreground better than using nothing. But that’s just me.

      @@crabclanrl6322 yes. Sometimes it’s fun to use a star filter at night with really well lit areas. Daytona is a good one for star filters. 💪🏻 ⭐️

      @@raylenesenke7504 All the shutter speeds. In this video you saw everything from 1/4000 down to 15 seconds Shutter.

    When you are panning through things do you use continuous autofocus or do you focus lock at a point on the track? I have tried panning through things and the continuous autofocus on my camera likes to get confused.

      @@GoFast_Photography only place I’ve ever been told one knee is Long Beach. Even in f1, you can do as you want. It’s just dumb legal bull shit. Being on one knee isn’t gonna help you run any faster.

      @@panya_indastreet I do sometimes. But personally. I don’t like how much it saturates the images. But also. Race cars windshields aren’t glasses. They’re some kind of Teflon or plastic composite. So it can make for a really weird ugly effect. So (for me) the benefits of a CPL are almost non existent.

      @@andreastornesel8404 depends how close the car is and what you’re trying to do. I’ve used all kinds of shutter speeds on my 500mm

      But were you stod next by the straight (beautiful camera work by the way, pan on each car separatly) I was looking for a kind of standard value maybe when trying to have back ground motion blur
      Im shooting propeller driven warbirds (P51, spitfire SAAB B17) I usualy end up using 1/250.
      I was curious, if you are 20 - 30 meters/ yards from the race line with a 1:4 500 mm lens.
      I guess I need to test and figure out if I end up by a race track 👍

    Incredibel Low guardrails and catch fences .. Photographers live dangerous live. No comparison to the European FIA catch fences. How many kilometers/Miles do you run in a 24 hour race with your Profi camera equipment

      @@Testpilotguenta I mean yes. But plenty of places in Europe (I’ve been to) where there are no fences. Quite a lot of Le Mans. Nurburgring too. Monza has some places. Barcelona.
