Dude, it's a bay area thing. Kids have been doing "sideshows" since I was in high school 20 years ago. There is a reason I left the Bay and never looked back.
Here in Texas, we call this a "street takeover". And there are harsh penalties for those involved in these street takeovers.

@@rs72098The guys in the cars doing burnout circles are not in connection with the kids attacking the police/police car. Same event, two entirely separate things. Also, most of the Hellcat/New-Era muscle car drivers who act like fools with load exhausts and huge tips are not kids physically, they are grown men in their 20's, 30's who unfortunately (for them) are usually African American. Don't just make assumptions without having actual facts to back up why you'd assume.

I say, realistically, a county year in jail, 5 years probation, and license suspension. 2 or 3 of those kids might turn it around and want a job by then.
Those kids are really young. Unless they have "priors"... give them a break IF they go get a job, enlist, enroll, etc. etc. Besides... the SYSTEM and ALL OF US WHO CLICK encourages that crap, it is a societal problem and throwing kids in jail is generally not helpful to anyone.
@@SunriseLAW that's why I suggested a reasonable sentence. It only took a little more than that to straighten me out, and I never violently attacked police property and personnel. Besides, I've heard that particular county jail is pretty cushy compared to the Bay Area jails I've been in.
