- I’ve waited since 2012 to get one of these workbenches, and I can honestly say, it was worth the wait.
BadAss Workbenches are built as tough as they come. In fact, you may have shipping challenges because of it. But when you get your new BadAss Workbench into your shop and start using it, you’ll forget about any trouble you might have had getting it into your shop.
I love working on this bench. That’s about all I have to say about that. Check out BadAss Workbench and see if it’s the right work bench for you too.

You know, when they don't mention the price, even on their website, that these cost a TON of money.
Yea, my brother used to say, "If you have to ask for the price, you probably can't afford it." Specifically speaking he was likely referring to things like items in stores on Rodeo Drive, where they don't have prices on the items. But what you pointed out is so true.
If you would tap the receivers with a 3/8 or a 7/16 thread run a bowl in there with a wing nut that would tighten your voice up without making it more unhandy
$4125 was the price on this bench setup plus free shipping for any ETCG followers.
4k isn't that much for something this stout, however, my OCD cannot accept the mahosive waste of space in the center of the bench.
Mind you, if you've access to a scrap yard, the top can be easily made with plate and angle iron, you just weld it and stack it on top of any regular shop cart with legs.
go to the website no prices on anything scared to show a price go to find a dealer nearest one is 3 hrs away and no website still no prices
*Perfect size...much lighter than the one I owned previously **MyBest.Tools** Folds up nicely and holds adequate amount of weight for "around the house" projects.*
Wow... that is one sweet work bench.... I love quality tools and accessories. I'm happy for you Eric, Cheers!
I've never been jealous of another mans tool but now I am. :) Awesome workbench! Great editing by the way.
That is a freaking awesome bench!!! Thanks for the video Eric.
Hey Eric. Drill a hole and weld a nut to the receiver so you can run a bolt into the side of the vice mount! No more floppy floppy!!!
That's something that would be in a tool and die shop. Great welding bench. Maybe try a set screw or 4 on the vice receiver.
Who cares how much space is lost and who cares how much it cost, that he’s happy and loves it. That’s what matters, we all buy what we want to have. You keep making videos Eric
That’s nice Clark, that’s real nice! Love the way the drawers open! That’s smart!
Thats a cool idea for the vise. And maybe some other tools, I wanna make something along those lines for my bench.
Wow, nice addition to the shop!
Cool bench, Eric. Powder-coated has a nice ring to it, and it is an overall good way to coat metal, but it can have some drawbacks. For example, dishwasher racks are powder-coated in vinyl powder. It's soft, which helps to reduce chipping and breakage of dishes and glasses but, because it's soft, it's not resistant to knife edges. Hence, dishwasher racks rust in relatively little time. The only way to avoid that is to make the racks out of stainless steel, which is hard to weld and more expensive. Nylon is more resistant to cutting, more expensive, and it's harder, which most manufacturers and consumers frown upon. I used to run a powder-coating system that used vinyl most of the time. The process is relatively simple: manufacture the steel wire racks; clean, dry and prime them; heat them up to about 475 degrees; dip them into a tub of vinyl powder; knock off the excess powder, which falls back into the tub; and allow them to go into a curing over at about 425 degrees for several minutes. All done! Thought you might enjoy know a little about the DNA of your new workbench, which IS cool.
Thanks!
There are other types of powder coating.
We did some at work that has a finish that was close to that of a cast iron sink.
It is a powder that is sprayed from a gun on to a metal part that is grounded then into an oven at about 450.
This is applied to tools such as rafter squares and other carpentry tools. Very durable.
Knife edges? You're not supposed to put knives in a dishwasher! Never!
My dishwasher has plastic parts for silverware.
Some newer dishwashers have gone to nylon coated racks. I'd personally prefer the racks be made of solid plastic, no metal to rust.
That’s a badass work bench! 😉
Sweet! From what I gather, the height can be custom ordered. As someone that is tall, I usually build my own benches 41" tall because most benches I've seen for sale are 34". Too low for me. This bench rocks.
Awesome!! And I'm so happy tool reviews are returning!!! I'm gonna be broke again...
The shop just keeps getting better and better
Love the vise reciver
Hey Eric.
Run a weld bead or 2 or 3 or 4 on the part that goes into the receiver. That'll stabilize it.
That’s a cool workbench! Looks durable too! Nice!
Love it! That’s for the run down. That top is just tops!! 😜
I remember the facebook video with the jacks and all that crazyness. This box is SWEET! Enjoy it Eric :)
Wow that is bad ass, I want one! Thanks Eric
looks like a really good workbench, but some storage space is lost due to the drawers design. like many mentioned, the fact its not easy to know the price suggests its going to be out of most of our budgets. specially for the viewers from outside the usa.
It's difficult to list pricing in a video because the video may be up a long time and the price can change. That's why I didn't mention it. My hope was that the prices would be listed on the site, but that's not the case, sorry about that. I'll reach out to them to see if they can, or will list pricing. FYI, this bench goes for about $4000.
Thanks Eric.
i think you did the best you could by adding a link to the badass website.
its just a shame they dont post the price openly.
My guess sin't that they are trying to hide anything, rather given the amount of customization and the fact that they don't seem to sell directly it's tough for them to list prices. Prices may change depending on which dealer is selling them as well as your configuration.
No they could do a pricing range but they, like many others, think if they make someone call to inquire than they can use a salesman tactic to get them to buy. It is a strategy that unfortunately just wastes everyone's time including theirs. It is a real pet peeve for me when a supplier does that. We have a company here in Portland OR. that makes fuel fired heaters for RV's etc that does the same thing. And you guessed it, ridiculously expensive.
@@consaka1 when I don't see a price stated the first thought is that the price depends on the buyer and the buyer's skill at haggling. I grew up in a culture where only gypsies haggle, so I end up having zero haggling skills, therefore I will never even bother to call in to enquire about the price
Wow very modern and innovative work bench !
Great info Eric, I appreciate the great video. Cheers
That is a sweet work table, very well built.
Now THAT is a nice workbench! Great review too!
Could solve the vice mount issue by drilling a hole in the bottom or side of the reciever welding a nut on and using a bolt to take up the slack like they do on a tow hitch. Very solid bench though.
Very impressive bench! Is the top unfinished? Can you use as ground when welding?
That's awesome no wait that's badass
To get the vice to quite moving as much you can drill a few holes in the receiver and tap them and use bolts essentially a set screws
That is a badass workbench; I'm jealous!
That's cool Eric I love it
WHAT. I DEFINITELY NEED THAT BENCH. Looks heavy
DAMN!! That bench is certainly badass!
What a bad ass work bench
That's badass! ... I guess that's why they call it that huh? If you can break it you broke something else first. I like the receiver mount, you could also use that to mount a vise to your truck should you need too.
That vise mount is just a standard 2" receiver hitch, with all of its standard slop. Run some weld beads down the length of the vise side tube and grind to fit.
Seems to be a great bench to weld on. And once one learned how to weld properly using this bench, one can grind and / or re-do the welds on the bench itself (especially the vise mounts) so they actually look decent.
Put a few tacs on the vise tube and file them down to a slight ramp to stop the wiggle
Somehow I feel that I need one of these for some reason....
The vice could be solved by welding a big nut on to the bench part, then screwing a bolt against the vice mount table arm that slides inside instead of that pin.
I just made the same comment! hehe Great minds think alike!
I thought the same too, fairly simply way of solving that!
Maybe we all thought the same thing because we're all nuts! : )
Yeah, I used to have Trials bike rack that mounted to a tow bar bracket like that.
Before you showed it. I knew they opened that way cause of the handle placement. Definitely cool. But I sure hope they put some strong solid pivot pins /bearing
Nice fab table, I love it,
Very nice tool box Eric
I like that it has the separate place for the vise.
Boy thats a real beaut workbench 👍👍👍
All you have to do to fix the floppy receiver is put a few weld beads on the mouth and file them down to fit. These are hitches (if i'm not mistaken) after all.
Nice ,maybe if you drill a hole and weld a nut on your receiver, and pinch bolt it up tight, that'll stop the movement .Keep up with the good videos😁
Awesome bench. Not sure about the swivel drawers though. I'd rather have the normal ones. Gives more storage and the effort keeps me fit. ;)
I have no reason to get one of these atm, but, I really freakin want one!!
Damn that’s bad ass!
Weld some X's on all four sides at the front and rear, see how the fit is to the receiver and grind off what's needed to get a good fit
Drill a hole either side of the pin and either weld on a nut or tap the receiver and put bolts in to push the box section up against the receiver. Half a turn on each bolt, pull the pin and it’ll come straight out again.
Excellent idea.
Beautiful bench I could see just a few improvements that I would make like somebody already mentioned about putting or welding a couple of nuts on the side of the receiver drilling holes and using bolts to hold the vise nice and tight the other thing is a safety thing I would like to see the corners of the vice platform to be rounded I was looking like when you were walking around it and can imagine being in a hurry and running into one of those corners ouch just my two cents
Fantabulous .
That's a very nice workbench, but given the pricetag, I think I'm gonna stick to my handbuilt Home Depot 2x12 Special.
Your right 450 lbs of weight resistance for drawers. Seems like a pretty sweet deal. That would have came in real handy with the fairmont
*You're
@@ChinnuWoW 😂😂😂😂
Since you stated this bench is for fabricating, what caught my eye is the portable oxy-acetylene welding set in the background. What make is that and where did you acquire it? Can you mention retail price? And, lastly, how viable is getting replacement cylinders filled with the respective gases?
Pretty good. Not sure about the vice mounting.
At 2:30 you can see wires above. Not bad for free but you can buy Harbour Freights best x 6 for the price of this.
Heavy vise mean heavy work and a lots of hammering and striking, so, that inserting vise holes are looks heavy and strong, but they can't provide a stable and vibration free vise, the best way is installing them directly at the top of the table, try to hammering the vise like you did on bench and compare, btw, its a beautiful and very nice design heavy work bench I ever saw.
My issue with it rotating is you loose that bit of space on the inside corner, as it's rounded. It's also a less practical shape. But it seems like the hinges would last longer than slides. Otherwise it looks really cool.
Oh my lord!!! I need this for my man, he must own this ASAP!!! ...Only problem is, I’m in Australia so no chance 🤦🏻♀️😣 All the best stuff is in the US & everything’s so cheap in comparison to here too. Something like that IF it was available here I could see easily costing $1,200+ 😫😫
It has been too long since I last saw a new Tool Review from ETCG.
Very nice, Eric :)
For the vise mount, maybe two of those receivers side by side would make it stable. Maybe a third that had an adjusting bolt to create an interference fit, or just a grub screw in addition to the lock pin. Just my amateur two cents.
Good idea.
Honestly I was thinking it would cost over 5k easy. It looked beefy as hell until I saw the drawer design, but then I was completely corrected when Eric showed it support his weight. If I had the cash I'd buy one.
Ooow that's a bad ass bench eric, like the draws and heavy solid design :-D.
They just need to develop a range of heavy duty power tools now, call them 'Mule kick' :)
Yep that vise tube is a tiny bit undersize, just add a thin shim of mild steel to it.
"Don't forget to play with your tools" oh so hammy eric lol :-D.
Yea, ham is my middle name.
Add a set screw to get rid of that vice wobble
I saw some at a local good guys show and I loved them ! love at first sight I was hardcore eyeballing them and crawling over them and knew I needed one. then I overheard someone next to me ask the salesman about price. After I heard the price I could not step away fast enough.
Yes they are super cool
Yes they are Super Heavy Duty
Yes they will make your friends Envy You
Yes your wife will divorce you if you spend that much money on a work bench!
Congrats on your bench Eric Keep the dream going for those of us who cant afford them!
Nice toolbox have a great
The drawer design is different but the amount of storage space lost to the circular openings is a big negative. By the looks of it, it looks like the circular opening loses 1/3 of the drawers capacity. And for tool storage, that 1/3 lost could mean buying another box to store in it what couldn't be stored in that box because of its circular opening drawers.
You Lucky Dog! Well it not luck its the result of years of hard work. That workbench is NICE enjoy it!
Awesome
Hell yes!
That review was Badass lol
Also, holy crap 1000 lbs!
Awesome
Can imagine those been expensive tho
do more of these reviews.
NICE
thx ETCG
Eric, For the Vice mount moving around, if it happens to be a standard trailer hitch pin size, you can use something like this to try to mitigate the issue instead of drilling holes into your new workbench.
www.amazon.com/Curt-Manufacturing-22321-CURT-Anti-Rattle/dp/B001EOWR3Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1538568271&sr=8-
That’s awesome. Thanks.
Like the bench and the name 😀
WOW. 😮😮
at the price for this bench, you can build the frame and buy snap on chest to keep your gear in
Do they charge by the pound?
Eric STAYED DIRTY for this video !
Badass vs Harbor Freight....look forward to HF copying this too😉
Random question Eric, since you mentioned you’re 230lbs. You mentioned some time ago that you were going to the gym, do you still go?
Got board and stopped going. I lost 15lbs when I went vegetarian earlier this year though. Need to find some physical activity that I enjoy to add to that. Probably walking or biking. I also thought of Tai Chi. Got a standing desk now. That helps more than you might think.
Love tool reviews
I want one ....... make it two. =)
That is tasty, I want one.
2 vice mounts? Now you need to get a second, possibly a third vice
I play with my tools everyday! How else would a bachelor stay happy?
Hi Eric I need help please I have a bmw e36 325i non vanos oil went into all Six spark plugs Wells and was driving about 40km/h was forced to drive it home about 15km so I pulled the valve cover off and cleaned out the oil and put in new spark plugs and the car backfires through the intake manifold and exhaust all power is loss so I did a diagnostic test and no codes came up I redid the timing and checked my rubber pipes from intake manifold still no luck what else could it be I'm stuck I need a direction please could my timing chain have stretch ?
It looks good, and also seems well made. But the price is way out there. Just like snap on...over the top price...I will stick to my old one, it is paid for and has worked for 25 yrs. but it was nice that they sent one to eric.
Eric, I strongly smell $3000+ price since some basic 4x8 work tables from them are $2000+ on eBay. If you do not care about weight going 1000 lbs there is no brainier just to order some tubing and sheet metal and weld your own stronger and larger bench for 1/4 the price. Add some HF $150 cabinets and you are still probably saving 1.5-2 grands while having a much more storage and a stronger custom platform.
I like Iike it
I'm guessing 500 plus shipping
These go for more than 4k. But hey free shipping right?
If someone gave me the option of owning Summer Brielle for life or that BadAss Work Bench for life, I would choose that BadAss Work Bench. And btw, I really like Summer Brielle.
Right on more space now
