Respect. All their hard work paid off and I've got nothing but good things to say about this series. Only thing is, not enough episodes, not enough fillers that help shape the story of the characters more, the series felt too fast and rushed.
my 2 biggest concerns are that they pushed Aang away from his playful happy nature and that they lost a lot of the subtleties in their emotions and went with a straight forward style to talk them out loud instead. Nontheless I like the show a lot and look forward to how they handle the next seasons especially as the actors get older
Been an Avatar fan since 2006 when I used to watch it on the couch in the livingroom with my Mom on Nickelodeon when I was 5 years old. Now I am 23, and I just feel like a little kid all over again, watching my favorite show. I just read that the show has already been confirmed for a 2nd and a 3rd season and I am hyped up about it. Also, there is a new animated series coming on Paramount+ from the Avatar studios, of the new earth bending Avatar after Korra. It is a great time for Avatar fans!

They usually do the feet stomping and ground punching in combination when doing power moves or the "heavy attacks", and the arm and hand movements for "light attacks". But mostly, the overall technique varies per person, earth kingdom soldiers might often do that as part of their training, but earthbending masters like Bumi and Toph got their own unique take on it. Toph usually strikes quick and fast so she's more on doing arm and hand movements, while Bumi on there other hands likes to be flashy on go all out so he often use heavy earthbending moves that often requires stomping and punching the ground the get a good "grasp" of the earth.
@@dinglemccringleberry9019 Legit perfect explanation. They are so many ways to bend, and to portray it in different styles is awesome. TBH first episode I was kinda hm meh okay, but it really got better from each episode, and they really invested super hard on Zuko and it shows but he is always the character who comes first into mind if someone was talking about the series because his redemption ark ist just too well-made in the original series :D Super bilingual stoned take so it may be horrible haha
@@HardRoboMusic At least the actual bending in this is pretty decent and somewhat close to the original. Unlike from the movie where there's like six dudes doing "earthbending" motions for like 5 seconds just before a small rocks floats by, same with the other bendings like there's to much motion before the actual bending happens like they're casting a spell like in a RPG game meaning it's too sluggish when compared to the animated series. If they ever plan to make a live-adaptation of Korra, that will truly test if they can really pull off live-action portrayal of high-tier bending from elite benders and bending masters. One example would be the fights with Kuvira. Particulary the animation in the scene where their train gets ambushed by earthbenders and Kuvira singlehandedly stooped them by primamarly using metalbending, and they she uses it is so "Toph" level to the point she can make big moves using only quick handmovents. Especially where she weaves her hands to bend the metal plates in her armor so quick and precise as if she's weaving jutsu hand signs.
You guys did amazing job with this series, especially adding stuff of Zuko's and Iros relationship. Hopefully we get to hear announcement for season 2 soon.
Can’t wait for Book 2!!! I don’t know why, but I cried so much watching the series. It may be that they did justice and translated the animated series well, but the drama was not lost. Episode 6 with General Iroh’s and Zuko’s storyline was to cry for. ♥️
the water bending effects look great and realistic... only issue i have with them, is they need to hit harder, at least, look like they're hitting harder, some of the water contact splashes, just, didn't look like they would have the impact to knock people over...
The bending and special effects was definitely one of the best parts about the show. Avatar is my favorite show of all time and I’ve watched it at least 100x, I was pretty disappointed with some of the story changes but others I thought were a welcome refreshment. I hope Netflix tries to stay more true to the original in the next seasons, not remaking things scene by scene but just keeping the tone and people as close to the original as possible

Maybe what I want for season 2 is for the child actors to dig deeper and bring out more emotions when delivering some lines or expressing through their eyes, but they're so cute right now and it's still season 1 and I know they still have a lot to grow. I'm so happy I bingewatched it 1 day.
i grew up watching the anime version of this show and now seeing the humans do they thing, I'm so in love with this. I await season 2. can't wait to see what next.
Having binged this show in a day!! YES THATS RIGHT 1 DAY because I was addicted, honestly one of the best shows I have seen/remake of other last air benders are not even close to this. Thank You
I remember when avatar the last air bender was playing on Nick , during commercials breaks they had avatar creating the legend which were explains how each element were tied to 4 kung fu styles . Which is water - tai chi, earth - hung gar, fire - northern shaolin and air- ba gua. I’m Happy this movie adapted and continued with this.
Honestly I'm a bit disappointed in most ytbers. I did not forget the hype the og creators made in the buildup of the other movie thingy of [*CENSORED*] and then we got a mess that made Doom 3 look good. This show is sooooo much better m'gawd
It seems to be trendy to hate on this but I was pleasantly surprised! I am a huge fan of the original and was sceptical about this measuring up. I don’t say this lightly; so far, I prefer it to the animated show. Yes it has its moments that aren’t the best but overall it held mine and my friends attention throughout while we binged all 8 episodes over the weekend! No easy task. It has heart and really executes the most important moments well imo. I’m excited to see what they do next with the rest of the story 🙌
I really appreciate Zuko's movements. They were sharp and it makes sense since he's an experienced martial artist even in the show . As a wushu enthusiast , I kind of wish some Stances of the form could be a bit more snappier and lower (especially Earth bender's Horse stances) . Katara's beginner movements make sense since she's still learning water bending but Aang should be a master ady at airbending ( which is really too much to ask for Gordon who's only been training for a month) , Wushu takes years to learn, even more to master and soon he's going to learn the martial arts of the other 4 elements . He really has a lot to learn if they're going to make more seasons.
it's not only written bad but also directed bad. The overacting and the performance of the younger actors/actresses were cheesy. They need to step up at acting.
My Husband, our 2 children, and I really are enjoying the first season of The Last Airbender. The young cast is so amazing. We are looking forward to more seasons. Please give us more!!!
Oh my goodness. These people are amazing, the work, the research and the the acting. All amazing. I do wish they would bring some of the original ATLA energy back.
I love what they did here with the elements. Some still needed a little work and post-production, but it was waaaay better than the movie and almost as what I was expecting. I'm so happy with the final product, even tho there are some things I didn't like about the changes, I still loved the show and can't wait for Season 2 to have green light so I can see my favorite character come to life. I already have big expectations on Toph, she's amazing and I won't accept less than that, so yeah! But omg I hope we can see the full show live action, don't leave us with only one season 😭 ps: zuko's bending was my favorite, his moves. man, dallas was amazing and i loved him. And i also loved Gordon, his movements were great too. Can't wait to see more of these two and the rest of the crew!! Amazing actors and people!
For me, all the elemental bends were PERFECT with the exception of the water, I loved the waterbending (I give it an 8/10 rating) it's my favorite element, I missed being more consistent or more "together" because in several moments it looks like several drops together being bend or a hose jet. I hope in the second season. they make the waterbending more united

Maybe what I want for season 2 is for the child actors to dig deeper and bring out more emotions when delivering some lines or expressing through their eyes, but they're so cute right now and it's still season 1 and I know they still have a lot to grow. I'm so happy I bingewatched it 1 day.
This was awesome! Can't wait to see that Praying Mantis style from Toph!
She’s the greatest earthbender I’ve ever seen!
Cant wait to see Toph bending metal and MORE LIGHTNING!
This series would’ve been perfect if they wouldn’t have changed so many things. The original was a great show for a reason
i grew up watching the anime version of this show and now seeing the humans do they thing, I'm so in love with this. I await season 2. can't wait to see what next.
the show is SO good!! This version of Zuko is MY Zuko!!!
Having binged this show in a day!! YES THATS RIGHT 1 DAY because I was addicted, honestly one of the best shows I have seen/remake of other last air benders are not even close to this. Thank You
Best show.. I want more.. Season 2 please 🙏
better than the original!? 💀
@@jaspersroom1934 you know the answer to that
@@jaspersroom1934 🤓
@@jaspersroom1934No one said that. God some of you live to complain.

I remember when avatar the last air bender was playing on Nick , during commercials breaks they had avatar creating the legend which were explains how each element were tied to 4 kung fu styles . Which is water - tai chi, earth - hung gar, fire - northern shaolin and air- ba gua. I’m
Happy this movie adapted and continued with this.
The bending and choreography was so damn good bro
I love the actor playing uncle iroh. I think he's the best actor on set. The way the character talk and speak is weird but his performance sells it.
Thank you Netflix. I thought 2010 movie would be the end of live action adaptation for ATLA.
Can’t wait for season 2!
It's been 84 years now was the best time
Hats off. A lot of work was put into this
Loveee can’t wait for season two
Season 2 is real??
@@lorenzodomosmog552YES! And 3!
You can tell a lot of care and love went into this show, just like the with One Piece remake. Huge respect to the everyone who worked on them.
Love this show ! Can’t wait for season 2 and Toph !
A complete disaster cringe series.
@@Bauklebenthere was no need for that 😂 he just said he loved it and it got renewed for its success whenever u like it or not
I'm excited to see Toph
And Azula's blue flames
A lot of people are salty but live action was enver gunna be a shot for shot remake of the animated show. Honestly I really enjoyed it
Honestly I'm a bit disappointed in most ytbers. I did not forget the hype the og creators made in the buildup of the other movie thingy of [*CENSORED*] and then we got a mess that made Doom 3 look good. This show is sooooo much better m'gawd
A complete trash. I prefer 2010 mr.Ong
@@Bauklebenyou really don’t 😂
You don't know how much I'm waiting for Tough 😈
Come on season 2. I need to see how y'all handle my girl, The Melon Lord! Mwahahaha
Tea Time With Toph was a great catch up series till the show was released
Plz make season 2 and season 3
Jokes aside these effects and cgi are just crazy 👌💯
Bending quality: Absolutely amazing
But i really wonder why such badly written dialogue
The director is not an Asian
it's not only written bad but also directed bad. The overacting and the performance of the younger actors/actresses were cheesy. They need to step up at acting.
@@evelynn6832lmfao doesn't mean anything. You don't need to be asian.
@evelynn6832 You do know that Bryke aren't Asian either right
My Husband, our 2 children, and I really are enjoying the first season of The Last Airbender. The young cast is so amazing. We are looking forward to more seasons. Please give us more!!!
I don’t think the directors understood the source material. This show was promising but disappointing in so many aspects
I like going behind the scenes of movies and tv shows. It makes u appreciate the work that was put into it.
Katara here is lacking spot on facial expression
Netflix, actors and world, IT WONDERFOO WORK
Congratutation for this
Dallas Liu nailed Zuko's martial arts abilities is the best part as he too is a martial artist irl.
Can't wait for season 2, aka Book 2.
Thank you, you cannot imagine how happy I am watching this after 19 years.
But omg I hope we can see the full show live action, don't leave us with only one season 😭
ps: zuko's bending was my favorite, his moves. man, dallas was amazing and i loved him. And i also loved Gordon, his movements were great too. Can't wait to see more of these two and the rest of the crew!! Amazing actors and people!
The earthbender from the first 2 mins of the 1st episode is how I expect Toph to earthbend. But much better.
One of the best live action series on netflix! Cant wait for the next season! ❤
This show is beautifully done!
You guys did great. Loved it
So excited to see the Season 2 of Avatar The Last Air Bender. 🤩 excited to see the other important Character like Topf & other bending like Metal bending & blood bending. 🤩
Zuko was my favourite character in the live action series. He mastered that role so well! Also Ozai was even more badass than in the cartoon.
Damn Kid he really did that backflip perfectly of course with the help of harness.
Couldnt wait to see Toph Beifong 🤭
A big thank you to the cast, directors and netflix for bringing this 2D Avatar to life. My faand I really enjoyed it!! I can't wait for season 2!!!
Great production!
Had a lot of fun watching this!
