Awsome. Brilliant rendition. Brilliant tune. The absolute best I've ever heard Kirk do this was during a Dead Men Walking gig in Newark, Notts, several years ago. He started playing, the theatre went crazy then totally silent and we stayed like that until the very last note faded away, then went bonkers. It was fucking amazing. The three other band members had come from the back of the stage and were giving Kirk a standing ovation, as were we. Brilliant. Shame it wasn't videod.
They still are alex, get up to crewe for the westworld week end in may, this is kb at his best,i was there and this is haunting and absoloutly FANTASTIC!
Earlier this year (2016) I paid £28 to see Big Country. A tad on the high side I thought. When I found out Kirk was the support I could not believe my luck. Kirk and a Cellist were f**kin magnificent. A bargain evening. It must be said that The Members and Big Country were both good value as well. Kirk made my day, week, month. I took my 23 year old son to see SOD in 2015 another great night. Thank you Kirk keep on playing so I can keep on paying. PS Love this version of Pumpkin Man.
Well, I wouldn't pay 28 pence to see Big Country... but I saw SoD for 16 notes in Exeter this year. Equal best money I've ever spent: I paid exactly the same to see the Floyd at Wembley stadium (that was 1988, mind you...)
Quality song. Saw them twice in London around '88. Hammersmith Odean [as it was back then] and The Town and Country Club. This is a great performance. Amazing voice.
Hey barman, another drink for me and my pal, The light's a been a flashin', no one understands a word anybody says. Hey barman, which way, which way to the John and one of them guys, he followed him, some people just won't take no. Well I started swinging, don't make no excuses for that, just like clockwork the cavemen arrived and it's "outside" (chorus) And out in 'The Limelight' everybody's havin' fun, and out in West End Central everybody's havin' fun Well the blue light it keeps a turnin', for £20 you can walk away, well boy blue you know it ain't, you know it ain't paining you. They took him and they beat him and they can still can make him sign, He came home as the sky lit up and his face had turned into Pumpkin Man, Something, it died that night, something died but something was born. chorus x2
No probs. By the way, 'The Limelight' was a dreadful club inside and old church in the Tottenham Court Road/Shaftsbury Avennue area and 'West End Central' is a police station in London's West End.
