    I’m enjoying your channel!
I love listening to these people. It gives us something to think about rather than the weather and the wars and the insanity in the world.
Thank you very much because you’re open to many things and this is about God not about who’s right. God bless you thank you.

If you are "certain" that you have a soul that will fly away to eternal suffering or eternal bliss in a supposed hereafter ... I suggest that you have been indoctrinated (as was I) with faulty information.
From the book Suicidal: Why We Kill Ourselves … author Jesse Bering.
"Unless you’ve been there yourself, you’ve no idea the balm such a thing can offer to a secretly suicidal soul who, his whole life long had been laboring under the unlikely premise that he had a soul to begin with.
What a burden! Without a soul, there’s no afterlife, there’s only the theater of the now."

That statement belongs in a catechism. It is mindless repetition of doctrine. It says nothing about existential truth which is the whole point of the video.

Well, then if someone goes to hell that would be better than non existing? It reminds me of that people who are so afraid of death that are willing to live under the worst conditions if they can keep living. I doubt hell is better than non-existence.

I forgot to tell you that hell is a state of consciousness called ignorance; heaven is a state of consciousness called 'feeling good about yourself. You have to go through hundreds of thousands of lifetimes to usually 'know and experience' this. Little do you know that this last century God became man to change all this and by looking deep in your heart, you can find him; but bear this in mind, He hides if there if there are too many strangers residing there. Good Luck!

I have been both under the spell of religion ... and OUT from under the spell of religion ... so I have experienced both mentalities ... and I will share that being OUT from under the spell of religion is a peaceful frame of mind in which to reside … because the system of belief that a god exists that is judging human behavior ... is based on fear … while the system of belief that the universe and electricity always existed ... no creator ... no plan ... is based on trust that suffering is natural to all species and that there isn't any afterlife where human “souls” go to BE judged.
The choice of what to believe is ours.
If (as does Jordan) you want to keep living in fear of being harshly judged by an all-powerful imaginary monster-god ... that is your choice.

Hell is not the central truth of Christianity, upon which our earthly life would be organized in fear and trembling. Our faith, our hope, our charity all tend toward this one goal: God known, contemplated, eternally loved. Our horizon is eternal life in the Kingdom. But every day, a man can refuse to pursue this goal, deny the inclination of his destiny, and choose not to return to God from whom he came; he can limit himself to himself and prefer himself to God. The dogma of eternal unhappiness is nothing but the inverse of the dogma of eternal bliss. For those in a state of grace, eternal life begins on earth, but for those who continually and gradually choose against God, eternal death also begins here. The mysterious line that separates the city of evil from the city of God passes at every moment through the heart of each person, according to the love that inspires their life. Heaven and hell are already within us.
Dostoevsky writes: "What is hell? The suffering of being unable to love."
Maurice Blondel comments: "This radical suffering is something the damned person has chosen during their earthly life; it inexorably dictates their future life. One does not begin to love the day after death. Whoever has lived in hatred will be crystallized in it forever by death. Hence that uncontrollable rage of everyone against everyone and against God. Hell was founded by Lucifer and his angels at the very moment of their rebellion, of their refusal of God. All the content of hell springs from this first fiery source. The damned person associates themselves with this work of damnation, to their eternal ruin."
"To say that the 'city of sorrow' and its torments are the work of the 'supreme Wisdom and the first Love' is to attribute to God a responsibility that falls exclusively on the impenitent..."
Consider the profoundly moving paintings of Beato Angelico: instead of presenting a magnificent athlete, who pushes away and crushes sinners who cover their faces in fear, who flee and bow under the avenging arm, the pious friar of Fiesole offers us a seated Christ, sorrowful in face, but with the serenity of one who empathizes, who raises a hand, in which the wound of the nail still bleeding appears, and with the other opens his robe and reveals his wounded heart; before this figure, the impenitent sinners turn and beat their breasts to attribute their guilt to themselves and indicate the unquenchable remorse that gnaws at them and will burn them without end" (M. Blondel, *La philosophie et l’esprit chrétien*, vol. II, pp. 356-358).
On July 13, 1917, Our Lady of Fatima showed hell to the three shepherd children and taught them a prayer that goes like this: "O Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of your mercy."

@@PaoloGasparini-ux2kp Without the word "soul," there couldn't be any religion.
All stories are based on what the soul is thinking, and what the soul is doing, and where the soul came from, and where the soul is going after death of the physical body.
Fortunes have been made by theologians who taught that the soul is a gift from God, and that women must never have abortions, because abortions offend God's gift to humanity.
Evolution of the soul is a huge seller in religion. It means that your soul is ever upgrading and will hopefully soon make the grade of God's "entire" approval of enlightenment and salvation … or … that in the afterlife something horrible WILL happen to your soul.
If you remove the word "soul" from religion, you will not have anything but ground zero.
If humans were to go extinct ... religion would go extinct ... and life by nature's design would carry on as it did before humans created religion.
I had to take off my own "blinders" before I could see that religion was and is nothing other than man-created myths.

@@PaoloGasparini-ux2kp I realized when I was young ... if I had been born as a Muslim ... or a Hindu ... or a Buddhist ... I would not believe that I needed to believe in Jesus to be "saved."
At 70 years of age I finally was able to realize that if I thought that other people were stuck in religious cults ... then I should be fair and admit to also being stuck in a religious cult. That was when I cut the ties that had for so long smothered me in my cult.
I'm 85 now and feel relieved and content that if (in this one life that I do have to live) if I do my best to be as kind to others as each situation allows ... I can't DO better than my best.

There is no absolute called evil! What you've been fed is fear. There is only the least degree of goodness. You can't have it both ways. Either "GOD" IS or GOD isn't. God has no opposites and resides even in the hearts of those whose beingness appears to be the least of goodness. Think it through and always question authority!

@@alisterrebelo9013 Are there moral absolutes? The issue is maybe the single most crucial issue of our time, the most practical issue, since it makes the greatest difference to our lives. Nothing more radically distinguishes our culture (the modern West) from all others in human history, including the pre-modern West as well as contemporary non-Western cultures, whether Islamic, communist, or "primitive". Most of our culture's intellectual leaders find the moral absolutism of all these other cultures not only false but also dangerous, while these other cultures, in turn, find our relativism and skepticism of their moral certainties not only false but also dangerous-like a giant without a
