Hey Apollo, in the game settings you can enable "unit cards" to "show always". That way it'll show the stats of each unit, makes it a lot more interesting to watch as you can see the differences between the units in terms of reload skill, aim, range, etc. Keep it up!

The way Ricky had his vanguard set up for the flank and hill, as well as how he knew not to send in waves was fantastic. I say again DO NOT SEND IN WAVES!!! Love the vids Apollo keep it up💯
Yeah, I was mentioned in a video of Apollo XD really don't get it wrong, I don't blame you for the quality of the replays. But you know I sended you already an e-mail (the way you said once in a video), I let it being post by admins on your Discord server and I even messaged you in private chat on Discrod and you even responded "sweet thanks man". And yet none of my replays got shown here and this is even more frustrating when you see battles where you know after a short time who gonna win. I don't expect every replay being an epic, super close battle that got fought to the last soldier. But its good to hear you are interested in my replays. I have been watching replays now for multiple hours and its already after 6am here, but fuck it, I found some good ones ;P
Hey Apollo, i'd like to say that I completely agree with you. For some reason I find it way more entertaining to watch one choice or one mistake lead to the complete annihilation of an army, it's just more intriguing and satisfying whist you are also constantly wondering if those losing are going to be able to pull something off. Please do more battles like that.
i’ve been watching apollo for 2 years and i’ve always wanted to get shogun or total war and now i’m getting my pc so it just reminded me that i wanted to say keep up the amazing content pix 💯
I personally enjoyed the first battle. “Chaos in the trees” kinda thing. Seeing the forested area fill with smoke and death was awesome. Second video was definitely amazing. Loved it.
The shinsengumi unit is a pretty powerful unit for mid-late game FOTS Shogunate players. It's a powerful rifle unit and has the melee statistics of a samurai (without the armor).
The second battle was some truly great strategy from the comeback player. The first player did everything right to gain an early lead, but was out matched.
it"s more the very messy battles that tend to be frustrating to watch instead of the fact that they are not very close. But still it's fantastic to watch new battles everyday and, enven more that it's really cool that you start covering more shogun 2. thanks mate.
Apollo, I don’t Know if you had any Third Age videos planned in the near future but I have a truly legendary battle you should make in Third Age Total War, While Sauron laid siege to Minas Tirith with a large portion of his forces from Mordor and Minas Morgul he sent an army of Easterlings to the city of Dale and Erabor to take Erabor and keep the Dwarves from sending aid to the men of the west. Brand of Dale (grandson of Bard the Bowman) and Dáin Ironfoot held the cities of Dale and Erabor for as long as they could. The siege was long, bloody, and seeming hopeless for the alliance dwarves and men, but they fought on. The battle cost the lives of Dáin Ironfoot, Brand of Dale, as well as many brave dwarves and men, but they were ultimately victorious and the easterlings were forever driven from Dale with the cost of many brave souls who fought until the bitter end for the hope of a bright future.
Not even going to hate on the player that was on the hill. If you have the hill and solid artillery, you better hold that ground and not give it up. The foolish choice would've been to give up the hill at the start of the battle.
Look at the victory scroll at the end of the battle, with the soldiers raising their weapons in the air. Those are automatic shotguns they're holding! Think the artist just Googled 'gun' and picked the model they thought looked cool?
Well i once face an opponent of a high command that would utterly destroy me in that game with how low level vs high level players would always be pitted to eachother. But me with my Evil mind sent all of my forces to the corner of the map to camp and wait for the enemy forces to arrive. To remind you my enemy has only cavalry so i used that to my advantage to stay in the corner of the map. I also sent some units to capture 1 dojo to stop the enemy from winning >:3 this lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes until he quits and say. "okay man this is taking a long time you win you cheeky bas@ard"
Apollo, just be yourself, you sound an amazing person who cares too much about what the others say, keep it up! We love you content (sorry my english lads, spanis here)
Hey Apollo. I've previously wondered if you already know what's gonna happen in a battle (Obviously you do when it's your replay), but I agree your reaction & surprise is better if you don't know what's gonna happen. And the battle is still great to watch with your commentary. It's funny when you zoom right in on 1 guy and do his voice & reactions etc, lol
So its like: "I hate videos with commentary" *clicks on the video with commentary*

What the F*** to the orange army in the first replay! he play like stayed into Medieval II Total war, is crazy. Also, the second battle was best than the others three battles that rickycallan9 sended to this channel (the first in this video and two in the other that apollo upload several week before). I mean, is amazing, in equals terms on the battlefield; but anyway, the red army take much mistakes in deployment, like sending their right flank behind the little hill (17:28).
It's cool mate, you don't need to justify yourself. Just do your stuff and that's it, although it's nice to have us notified you actually care about community feedback. Cheers buddy and thank you.
I feel like I need to come back to multi-player and try to even add a morsel of substance cause back in the day of total war everyone was a strategic genius and people took this shit hard-core.
People often critics hill camping, but when you’re outnumbered, have the wrong roaster for a map or have a less good roaster than your opponent, it’s better to stick to a defensive position. Also the artillery piece makes your moved slower and you want most of the time to bring your opponent to you. Having to attack with a 1300 kokus artillery is bad most of the time in shogun 2 because your opponent can get up to three units with it. The best way to counter hill camping in shogun 2 is to add key buildings, invest in infantry and swarm him or just take your own artillery.

The 1st battle is stupid, but looks like funny chaos tbh, love it
It looked right at home if it was in a movie.
First battle was like: "Oh shit, mum called for dinner. Better just rush in so I don't get yelled at for taking too long."
You know it's a really chaotic battle when Apollo starts chaotically mixing up unit names left and right
i mean clearly the orange player was either drunk or maybe he was trolling?
