    this is due to bad design choices by aftermarket vendors -- i'm sad because a lot of people are more for profit and not using proper engineering to design a solution. all we need is to get some buffer and see what's up. easily can be remedied by some type of liner or also sand it down and cover with some rubber gasket.... T_T sad that even after market cannot make a proper solution for long term.

      Just one of those things that happens from adding lines that didn't have space made for them from the factory. These cars actually have a lot of room to run the lines compared to others I've put oil coolers on... but pretty much any car you'll have some spots where the lines could rub. Pretty standard practice to do what they're showing here and put some sort of protection anywhere the hoses touch.

    I think the Eaton hose you took out may actually be the identical product to the Danfoss hose you replaced it with, aside from the difference in age and cracking. Danfoss acquired Eaton's hydraulics business in 2021, including the Aeroquip product line.

      The part numbers are different. One is speced as a hydraulic hose. The hose we bought is rated as a automotive grade fluid hose.

    The fitment issues should have been obvious during the install yet they rolled with it. Lucky it got caught.

      Nope. This is exactly how Perrin/Jackson want you to route the oil cooler lines. The problem is that the sleeving they provide for abrasion resistance is not resistant at all.

    What are your thoughts and experiences with the dual radiator/oil cooler set up by Jackson Racing? I’m curious about it since the lines don’t run through the headlight opening.

    I just got an 11/23 build date. Have they made changes to their build process that eliminates the problem sufficiently? The car is not a daily but is an auto cross and occasional HPDE car for me.

      Here is a 10/23 MFD date ua-cam.com/video/ZXCLRjeKaoU/v-deo.html
      With late 2023 MFD dates, it has still been hit or miss. I still recommend a cleaning and baffle install for canyon/track use customers

    Do you have the measurement for the length of each oil cooler line?

      @CMAutohaus  7 місяців тому

      Do not. But IIRC 15ft total should be fine.
