Formula 3000 On-board Lap - PalmerSport at Bedford Autodrome

Driving our new-look Formula 3000 single-seater is the closest you'll get to experiencing an F1 car. Powered by a 3 litre V6 engine, with 250bhp at 6500 rpm, big slick tyres and a six-speed paddle gearshift on the steering wheel, the car still accelerates hard as it blasts past 100mph. On our fabulous, revised West circuit, this is performance driving at its exalted best.

I've been and it's no so much the straight line speed as the cornering speed that blows you away.
