- Why Scientists Were Shocked After Just Sequencing The DNA Of Ötzi The Iceman?
Scientists were stunned by the new findings after sequencing the DNA of Ötzi the Iceman. Discover the surprising revelations about his ancestry, health, and lifestyle that have reshaped our understanding of ancient human history.
It's Otzi not Etsy.
I just checked with Google Translate. The English pronunciation is given as “ottzi”, while the German, Ö, is more like “airtzi”
Watch the video and you will find the answer....OTZI is the nickname of ETSY ....
what do you expect from a mindless robot reader
@davidpemberton3112. Whatever 😮😢
Fascinating ! Poor old Otzi, I wonder what he would think if he saw all the fuss made over him now?
Well he did invent the dab...
He would probably ask if the bastard who shot him is present.
The one on display is a copy the real body has to be kept in a controlled room, kept it from decaying
Not Etsy. Hate the computer voice. Changing to a better video.
Watch the video...Otzy became the nickname of Etsy...
No wonder the video is so long, it's taking ages to get to the point. If they wanted the whole story they should have shown that in the title. Anyone feel like putting a synopsis here ?
Interesting take on what they consider dark skin. You cannot survive in a colder, darker region with dark skin.
Ha ha , he didnt survive.
I'm mostly Bavarian alpen Bavarian and everyone from the Alps is pale what do you mean they'd be tan. Have you seen anyone from Switzerland who is tan? I'm trying to follow along here that just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me based on I've seen the people and I am one
You are *modern* people. People of Ötzi‘s wave would have looked more like Sardinians
@@lkgreenwell I get that they were saying that he's tan from being in the Alpine sunlight except helping people aren't tan today how does that make sense that's my whole point understand??
@@chrisk7626 No, it’s from his Early European Farmer, originally immigrants from, roughly, Anatolia, DNA. What they are saying is that Ötzi was from a “pure”, group of that, not interbred with Western Hunter Gatherers, who would have been pretty dark-skinned anyway, though blue-eyed!
@@lkgreenwell okay that's still not answering my question this is not that hard even though you're long-winded why are modern people in the same area fair-skinned?!!!
@@chrisk7626 Because they are genetically disposed to fair skin. They, you, are a different wave of immigration. BTW, I prefer to think of myself as attempting precision, rather than long-winded! lol. It’s an academic subject, and not mine, after all
Turns out he's from Mexico 😂
The very first TV news about the findings showed an axe that was clearly from the late Neolithic. But the comment told something about medieval. Well, journalists are not prehistoric experts.
I do hope you mean 'chalcolithic' not late neolithic
@@peterforden5917 Chalcolithic is the end of the Neolithic Age. After that at ~2200 BC comes the Bronze Age.
"The European Neolithic is the period from the arrival of Neolithic (New Stone Age) technology and the associated population of Early European Farmers in Europe, c. 7000 BC (the approximate time of the first farming societies in Greece) until c. 2000-1700 BC (the beginning of Bronze Age Europe with the Nordic Bronze Age)." - Wikipedia 'Neolithic Europe'.
@@gottfriedheumesser1994 I was taught never to quote Wikipedia as an academic source, though I use it all the time, and occasionally contribute. It’s not subject to enough peer review. These terms are just rough sketches. Until very recently people referred to “the Copper Age” - our Ötzi in a nutshell. Coming from a metallurgical background, I think of the Copper Age, as *radically* different from the Neolithic
@@lkgreenwell I have studied prehistory in Vienna and learned the same as I have written. After the Neolithic comes the Bronze Era. However, I cannot cite the lectures of Trnka and Krenn-Leeb, sorry! Tutankhamun's iron dagger did not start the Iron Age too, It happened later. The Copper Age is not much different from the Neolithic as copper was rare and used for dagger tools. "Mondsee" is neolithic.
@@gottfriedheumesser1994 I’m surprised the various weapon enthusiasts on UA-cam have not staged a combat competition between iron and bronze weapons, but I suspect the real advantage of early iron was its relative ubiquity. My local library once displayed a bronze axe that had been ploughed up in the vicinity. Rather than the usual, prosaic, design it was very stylish, reminiscent of an E-type Jag. Its.. status equivalent would be more like a Bentley Continental.
So maybe Ortiz charmed the wrong village girls. Sounds like a cool guy, copper axe tattoo's bear skin hat, he was just cruzen. 😎✌️
Etsy the Iceman? Give me a break AI.
This is not AI creation….. what made you think of it?
The given dating is nonsense because it is before Noah's flood period.
Your subtitles mentioning 'Etzi' are weird!
And writing 'Otzi' is not much better.
Watch the video...Otzi became the nickname of Etzi
@@truth-Hurts375 The nickname is Ötzi (from Ötztal). You need not explain an Austrian the German language as you cannot pronounce German Umlaute (Ä, Ö, Ü) correctly as well as those from the northern languages.
Lame.
