I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing her on an All Stars season

@@yun-jinlee3782 Don't get it twisted. Vanjie redeemed herself the FIRST episode, and went on to slay the Britney TV challenge and the makeover. She OWNED the zodiac runway and had many great looks, despite the repeated silhouettes. Vanjie deserved at least TWO wins this season but was fucked over by storylines. She has had TWO iconic entrances and TWO iconic exits. Your fave could never.

Michelle really loves Vanjie's energy, it's awesome. She truly went from the bottom to almost all the way to the top, what a character.

Honest to god, the critiques against vanjie all season were valid but it annoys me that they didn’t apply the same criticism to silky who hasn’t served anything fresh or exciting the whole season and has skated by on her “charisma”. Did vanjie do a lot of the same? Yes. Was it polished? For the most part. Silky has been a mess all season long, gave one of the worst lip syncs in drag race herstory and somehow was pushed into the top four because the judges like her personality. It’s a shame.
Fucking amen to this. Vanjie and Plastique got so much shit for doing the same characters, which is such a valid critique but honestly Silky kept on doing the same thing over and over again and then wearing the same boring ass dresses like ??
Foster silky should have went home episodes ago they kept her for drama
Even though I like her *now*, I’d say Silk is judged by different standards. But the same could be said of my fav: Plastique. She had the exact same silhouette all through. The judging was inconsistent all around.
Foster all i see is Tea. Unsweet. Piping hot.
I think another part of that is that Vanjie had coin from the previous season, so they were expecting her to be more polished than the other girls
I love this queen so much. She’s so unapologetically herself and loves to be silly. I could listen to her talk all day ❤️❤️
I think what was a shame was that in the challenges she didn't always have the confidence to be so unapologetically herself which might have drawn her back which is a big fat fkn shame

true, Shangela also had questionable looks and had to lipsync 3 times before she got eliminated top 5 in s3.
While I do think Shangela definitely has more rational thinking to get through the conpetition then Vanjie, Vanjie was giving it more personality wise and was very impuslive (almost irrational), but it worked for her to get to Top 5x

She is of one my absolute favorites of all time. I laugh so hard when she talks. I hang in her every word. Ughs. I need so much more of miss vanjiiiiiiie!
Michelle was SO much harder on Vanje than other competitors - and Vanje WAS listening, and TRYING. Silky WASN'T. Michelle just NEVER cut Vanje any slack. Her bias was so obvious. Silky was a MESS and NEVER elevated her drag when Vanje tried SO hard to impress Michelle. Disgrace that she went home. Silky should have been in the bottom, and Silky should have gone home.
it can be said for Michelle that she was so tough on Vanjie because she believes in her way more than she did a lot of the other queens and really wanted her to go all the way - her annoyance with Vanjie always struck me as a mentor, or even a mother, getting frustrated at their kid for not giving it the full effort and living up the potential that they know they're capable of.
and as for Silky, if my memory serves me right, she was the only one to really actually call out Silky on her sloppiness ("roach", lashes, pads, etc.). It's the other judges that were very willing to turn a blind eye to it because of her personality.

Vanjie is more similar to Alyssa than Shangela imo. At first, both didn't realize how to use their personality in their favor and were troubled by their inner saboteur. They're also hilarious/charismatic just by being themselves. That's why I expect Vanjie to be as successful as Alyssa 😊

I *really* love Vanjie, but the thing that caught my attention the most in this interview is how much respect she has for the show. I mean, it was obvious all season long, but when she said she was never frustrated with the judges or anything I felt like it wasn't even an option for her to think that. She just respects the show too much to even consider that, and it's honestly really cute!
It's genuinely offensive to suggest that what Silky offered this season was better than Vanjie and/or Nina. Like they had to bring in pads for her. Wtf.

Now that Miss Vanjie is gone (and all my other faves), I think this last episode has converted me to team Yvie! I'll admit I was a skeptic for a lot of the season, but now that we see more of her vulnerable side and some really polished looks, I'm a fan.
Her and Brooke Lynn only dated 3/4 months after the show - it's a shame. I was rooting for them too. You can tell Vanjie was very invested in it and she was visibly hurt when Brooke Lynn said they were no longer dating at the reunion. Ariel and Scarlet both said on "Look at Huh" that they felt that Vanjie was more into it than Brooke. Also, it's hard to believe that Vanjie was Brooke Lynn's first boyfriend but maybe that was a clue right there.
Some people just have a light inside them that illuminates the world, and Vangie is one of those people.

I absolutely loved Vanessa. I think she did an amazing job and I'm very proud. I have never seen a queen work so hard to please as she did. She made the whole season for me and was an absolute Joy. I love seeing the softer more vulnerable side Vanessa. I started the season Vanessa curious and ended madly in love and a lifelong fan. What a special human being. Look forward to seeing her on All Stars.
