I've been playing Space Marines 2 with mostly the same 2 friends, one of them is totally unenlightened with Warhammer, so while we're playing I'll randomly become a tour guide through Warhammer lore, as a long time avid fan. And at one point after I completed another tour session, the unenlightened buddy goes, "Muka, I never know if you're joking or being serious when you're talking about Warhammer lore" He's done it, he's understanding

I've heard it said that Warhammer isn't for everyone, but there is an army/faction for everyone. In other words, the grimdark future may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if everyone was to give 40K a try there is definitely something out there that will catch their eye. There is so much rich world building, and the fact that you can add to it as well with your own homebrews is just the cherry on top. Anyways, always great to hear of new battle brothers joining in. if you want a horde shooter based in the same universe fighting for the inq darktide has now finally had major issues fix. awesome sounds, music and visuals. 4 person kill team sent on missions into a hive city to fight nurgle heretics.

Yeah but the Catachan jungle fighters are legit jokes. They get negatives on the table top if they aren't near something, because they are used to being in a jungle and surrounded by trees at all times. In lore they are WORTHLESS if they aren't in a jungle-like environment of trees/constant cover. They are strong, sure, but they are so undisciplined they practically need retrained when they are tithed off world. Oh...and they get decimated every time they pay their tithe. Meaning 1 in 10 get killed by their own men on orders of a commissar having to enforce the fact they aren't ON Catachan anymore and they will follow orders or be turned into corpse starch or sand bags. Best part? The Cadian's showed the Catachan that Cadians fight in jungles better than the Catachan do. There is a story in White Dwarf about the Catachan being told to build a new fortress in a specific area that has resources underground that are wanted. 15 years of fighting and the Catachan only even GOT THERE once, and had to abandon the place. They had access to pretty much whatever they needed, even ships in orbit but the Catahan refused to do things the non-Catachan way. The Munitorum was sick of them wasting lives and resources on it and brough in Cadians. They orbital bombarded a clearing zone, inserted their troops, went throught he forest with tanks (something the Catachan swear isn't able to be done) and burned out huge sections of the forest. In an unstopable steady march they got to the loction, burned out a 5 mile square area of the forest and salted the earth to prevent the forest from ever reclaiming it. Built the fort, built the landing pads. And did it all within a month. They only lost like 20 men. The Catachan were humiliated on their own damn homeworld by the Cadians who came in and showed them how a disciplined military functions.
Notice how he used literally everything other than the actual in-game combat music. Bro even went as far as to use Nelo Angelo's theme from DMC1 instead of the actual music.

I wish they did more of the SM1 type themes, at least in the second half of the game as Titus slowly starts to feel like a true Ultramarine again. Just more "glory" in it. As it stands now it's just generic TPS background music for all I know. Who knows, maybe they'll take it into consideration going forward. I'd love some variety, and maybe Chaos Campaigns too, give Chaos Marines more flavor and identity and bring it over to pvp too. That includes Chaos-y music for Traitor Astartes. Just to really set the tone and nail it completely.
I love that all we know about Leandros is that he accused his captain of heresy, the Inquisitor present didn't believe him, the INQUISITION CLEARED HIM and eventually BASICALLY MADE HIM GO HOME he was so untainted... And that stunning career move made him one of the most honored and influential people in the entire chapter. Are we sure the blueberries haven't been working with the dark angels?

You don't really develop psyker abilities so much as you are born with them, plus the Ultramarine Librarius would've noticed if Titus was a psyker and would've had him trained as a librarian. Likewise, the Grey Knights aren't like the Deathwatch. They don't take in random marines from other chapters, they use geneseed like every other chapter, albiet spicier and theorized to be made from Big E's dna, hence why they're all psykers

Crazy good fun, even got me look in at the plastic crack again any HOLY MOLY why is that shit so expensive now? Everything is like double the price I remember. Like a Lehman Russ tank now costs what a land raider used to or something silly.

Space Marine 2 is best summed up as "Urge to Purge" vs "Need to Feed" when talking about Space Marines and Tyrannids.
