As a C64 user I can concur. My first computer was a ZX Spectrum. (The original one) That was even before Sinclair was taken over by Amstrad. I never had a CPC. But I used my friend's Spectrum +2. Which was kind of a CPC but not quite. The hardware was a bit different.
