Good Morning, Just wanted to let everyone know that I didn't get the first song Langston University played since it started raining and had to cover my equipment because of the rain. Also, I had to cut some parts of the video and make a segment for each due to the audio getting a bit funny with me I apologize if this isn't my best work in advance. Like I said on the other video, TSU won but all three were good! Love the aggressive UAPB! Langston please keep this up! That “Freak Like Me” was groovy asf 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 but UAPB drumline was ANNOYING ASF!!!! Y’all saw it was a heated horn battle, yall gotta be smart on when to kick off a drum battle these days bruh!
@@A.D.907It’s true with the head director being from SU, and you can hear it in the arrangements. Not to take away from their performance because they did their thing tho.

Honestly txsu sounded slightly more cohesive than the other groups. But overall UAPB was the most entertaining 😭 . Langston yall lost me at Mr.Biggs the eupho part ruined it for me. Txsu had the best book and most noticeable songs . But idk off entertainment and woah factor I give it to UAPB. Maybe it’s because txsu already played these songs idk 🤷🏾♂️ but UAPB was most entertaining. Txsu sounds good but they sound like southern or even kinda gambish . I do think the directors need to look into Texas southerns old music and channel their previous sound and aggression to make them stand out in their own way. Again their not bad but everything they play give me southern vibes.
Pt 2 when kapell was TXSU director with the other guy TXSU had a distinct sound they just always needed numbers now they sound like southern and gamb. The only song that gave me slight TXSU vibes was their last song (reminded me of call casting)
How does Texas Southern sound like any SWAC universities and they battle every year and sound nothing alike 💀🤣 Simmons says he isn't even the one who writes most of the songs he lets his assistance shine so he can focus on business side
