I hope this car restoration workshop stays open for many, many years, because it is rare to have someone who is a perfectionist in mechanics and put in a really new car with great care, perfect restoration in every detail. Congratulations
@@---cb7hf, that's a very nice MB 220. I'm similarly positioned with our '94 MB C124 Couple E-320. . Pristine at my uncle's delivery, through the decades until now. . Congratulations on your MB 220 CDI !
I have a 1963 MB 220 SE; it's dark blue with a navy blue canvas top! the interior is light camel-coloured leather and the steering wheel is ivory white; the engine is an in-line six-cylinder with 120hp of power; it has four disc brakes with servo brakes, power steering, suspension height adjuster, and absolutely amazing handling; it drives like a modern Mercedes! !!! and yes, I've been blessed by a German guardian angel, who loves driving along the seafront with the top down on late summer evenings in Portugal! An exceptional car!
…the silhouette of the coupe is a tad sharper and sleeker while the cabriolet has a softer contour which is what I think showcases an elegant regality to its stance. I lucked out for I inherited a 1971 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet from my Grandmother in 1989. It’s has been meticulously taken care of in its original state with 37K miles. I get to drive her every so often in and around the Silicon Valley where she still gets a lot of attention. I also have Grandfather’s 1972 280 SEL 4.5 that I have driven since I’ve been 16 in 1985. So a coupe will be nice to have and round up my 280 fleet.
Exquisite design and execution. I would always pick the convertible as most of the time you can’t drive fast and there’s nothing as lovely as cruising round in a gorgeous soft top on a nice day.
I have a C124 coupe and this just inspires me to just keep working on it to bring it back. Even the quality in the C124 is evident but I have to say these are my favourite more modern M-B. Coupe or Cabriolet…ahh…I think I’d just have both!…because when you’re at that motoring level, you just can! 😉
Those are wonderful cars that are just soo well made! I would love to have the coupe! I am actually thinking of purchasing a W111 but I will go for the 4 door be course the coupe's are really expensive and the cabrio's are insanely expensive.
When these beautiful cars were restored it would have been prudent to add external mirrors to the passenger side. Since 1990 l own a W111 V8 Coupe in dark red metallic with cream leather, Sunroof etc. practically in original.condition. It participated in the 25th aniversary tour of Targa Tasmania (2016) and performed flawleslly. It's amazingly quick for a small 3.5ltr V8 and handles beautifully.
I have only owned 4 Mercedes-Benz all 'vintage ' as of now. But the W111 are beautiful! I love the coupe, but nothing like a convertible! Both amazing! My 3 w124's or w201 can't compare to these beautiful masterpieces. Great video!
Absolutely gorgeous cars..LOVE the colors...I have a 68 W113 that is a real good driver and a 3 footer...so want to restore mine to this degree...gorgeous cars
Thank you for the video! My Dad had a 1971 280SE 3.5 coupe and I have fond memories of learning to drive on that car. What you do not mention is what a beast the car was on the road. It could lope along all day at 85 mph and its acceleration from 80 to 110 is the best of any car I have driven. My Dad had a 911S before this and I think the MB was supposed to be a way to get a more family--friendly car, but there was certainly no loss of driving performance or pleasure. None at all. The car was also just plain gorgeous. The beautiful wood (ours was a lighter burled color), the interior leather that complemented the exterior color, the quality of the stereo, the way every door jamb had beautiful sliver chrome lining as seen at 10:03 in the video and the distinct way the doors would thunk and the transmission would shift; it all screamed quality. I spent a lot of time washing and waxing that car since we lived only 200 yards from the ocean in South Florida and had to constantly and vigilantly fight the salt air buildup on the car's surfaces. But I enjoyed that activity, which really made you appreciate the subtle beauty of the lines and all the chrome. You could really make that thing glow in a beautiful way, They just do not build them that way any more. Thank you for bringing back all the good memories.
Hi, I totally agree with you. it is a different production philosophy today. Everything is electronic and shall constantly be updated. In the 1950 - 1970 cars were analog, which means longevity :-)
I remember back in 1998, I could’ve bought Merc 280SE 3.5 Coupe 1970 on a J £5500 off an old Greek lady in Southgate North London it was a lovely driving car in blue weird even then I thought with a lot of money😂 but it wasn’t really have to remember. There was good few of them around then all over London including Pagoda
ohh this is art and machine! the craftsmanship is divine in this era. the distinction was greatly felt. really dont care for today's 580's and such - levels are different !
Stunning almost like brother and sister twins. I am not a convertible person so buttoning up the roof each time seems like a hassle. But love each cars. One seemed to be missing the spare tire
Fantastic content! It's always intriguing to hear about the intersection of innovation and finance, and you've captured it well. Mercedes-Benz continues to set standards in the automotive world, much like how the cryptocurrency market is reshaping the future of investing. Despite global challenges, it's impressive to see how smart investments, particularly in crypto, can generate significant returns. Earning €7,600 weekly is a testament to how forward-thinking strategies can thrive even during uncertain times. Harry is definitely the right person to guide this journey with his expertise.
I agree with the need for smart investments. Many people often spend their finances on poorly chosen projects, which leads to disappointments and discourages others from investing. This not only affects individual interests, but also casts a negative light on the investment environment. Harry's advice is essential to solve these problems.
Finding a reliable financial advisor is a big problem for many. Therefore, working with Harry Martins has been invaluable. Unlike most advisors, Harry is committed to actually helping people and ensuring they get the best possible advice without taking advantage of them.
Trading seems profitable at the moment. Despite the continued development of the market, it is clear that the cryptocurrency community is here to stay.
I was looking for this kind of investment help because my job takes up most of my time and I hardly have time to focus on trading. How can I contact him?
Why he didn't show more the cars, and less himself? Forthermore why he didn't prepare in advanve a script, thus providing a logical view tour and eliminating repeated shots like door closing and meaningles filler speach, not to mention using phrase beautiful 86 times?
I use too see both cars on London on a regular basis I knew a lovely black guy that had a 3.5 280SE convertible in Silver when I had my 280 pagoda we use to get our cars serviced at the same place in Kilburn London Continental Motors there was coupes also Salons 190SL etc All cars of that generation, including finals
I like the Convertible. BUT I do NOT understands way not make it a hard boot cover and make it MORE flatter and all is motored driving. Also I would have a GREAT bigger blower for the air-conditioned. Also up-grade the Head lights because as YOU get older YOU need better headlights in the Night!!! So I guess I would like MORE of the retromod type classic car with all the NEW updates!!! . Hope YOU can do one as THAT would truly be amazing!!! Amen 😇😇😇 Thanks for the Video. Alan from Tampa Florida USA. I cam not wait to get to Europe to check autos out!!!
I have been watching your videos for a few years now. This is one of your best. To compare the two was a great choice. Thank you. If you ever want to come to California and be given a tour of Nor. Cal. please let me know. I would love to hang out with you and enjoy California Cars.
To close the boot, you press it - but not with your hand on the paintwork - by using the chromed handle. The W111 is a wonderful car, although I never understood why the interior of the boot and the underside of the boot lid were not trimmed in carpet. They look crude and unfinished.
Recently a nice W111 V8 coupe was sold at auction in Australia at Shannons. It fetched A$260.000 including auctioneers premium. That's more like €160K. Please let me know where there's a good rust free one available for just €80K and l'll be over quick smart.🤔
If I owned these, I would not drive them instead I would put them straight into my living room as pieces of art to admire. What a lovely pair; I ❤it!
The Absolute Pinnacle of Auto Manufacturing.

The most beautiful car i've ever seen in my life.

I've had an in-line six cylinder from 1991 w124 and realized my mistake after I'd changed it for a modern turboed car...how I miss it!
I understand@@vinobody
Classics never die
Among the greatest cars ever made? Magnificent!
This is beauty. Thanks for the review.
Absolutely awesome. Complete automotive works of art

Two absolutely magnificent automobiles. Mercedes Benz at its very best. Thankyou for sharing!

Hi, I totally agree with you. it is a different production philosophy today. Everything is electronic and shall constantly be updated. In the 1950 - 1970 cars were analog, which means longevity :-)
I am a124 coupe lover
I myself had a few ...
After this model mercedes would never take my attention any more

I had a 1961 220SE when I was 19 years old in 1985. I still have dreams about rediscovering it as a barn find. I paid £500 for it at the time.
The coupe’s. All time classic
Excellent!
BECAUSE ITS ENGINEERED LIKE NO OTHER CAR IN THE WORLD!
Back when MB were a pinnacle ride. Not so much today, sadly. I’d buy that coupe in a heartbeat!
what? Mercedes still does good cars.
I love the Mercedes Coupe w111
Stunning almost like brother and sister twins. I am not a convertible person so buttoning up the roof each time seems like a hassle. But love each cars. One seemed to be missing the spare tire
I would take both of them, thank you.
Smallest "storage area" ever 😂. Thanks for leaving that in MBKing 😅.
incredible
Truly stunning 😍

Amazing.
Legend ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ezek gyönyörű autók ❤
Que lujo de coches como esos no se volverán a fabricar nunca más,,
Que maravilla, ☺️,
Why didn't you show a longer view of the convertible with the hood down? That's the selling point!
Why he didn't show more the cars, and less himself? Forthermore why he didn't prepare in advanve a script, thus providing a logical view tour and eliminating repeated shots like door closing and meaningles filler speach, not to mention using phrase beautiful 86 times?
Coupe❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow a army of mechanics and automotive engineers are required to put the soft top on!
Car full of surprises. Even the storage space turned out to be an ashtray. 😅
work of art and ageless classic
what is the price for the coupe car please?
I use too see both cars on London on a regular basis I knew a lovely black guy that had a 3.5 280SE convertible in Silver when I had my 280 pagoda we use to get our cars serviced at the same place in Kilburn London Continental Motors there was coupes also Salons 190SL etc
All cars of that generation, including finals
Beautiful cars… they don’t build them like that anymore.
I have never liked convertibles.
I, however, love the coupè.
Both are beautiful but I prefer the coupé more. Im not a convertible car fan.
amazing
Tutto bello!!!
W111 coupe!!!
Assembly workers: "Am I a joke to you? 🥺"
What is the price of this wonderful car ? ❤
I like the Convertible. BUT I do NOT understands way not make it a hard boot cover and make it MORE flatter and all is motored driving. More flatter 'hard boot cover' ? 🤔🙃😭
My favourite MB! Design, especially reliability and quality Today are totally gone!:(
The convertible of course!
What year is the car featured in this video? Thanks in advance.
I have been watching your videos for a few years now. This is one of your best. To compare the two was a great choice. Thank you. If you ever want to come to California and be given a tour of Nor. Cal. please let me know. I would love to hang out with you and enjoy California Cars.

I want to buy the two cars , please how much and how do I get it shipped down to Nigeria
❤
Hungary? So why's the music spanish?
because what else could match better to a 60-70s iconic German car than a Spanish love song with Julio Iglesias, I guess /s
👍
This guy doesn't know the difference between a chassis and a body or an ashtray and the extra storage area... 😂😂😂
This is what I'm talking about
Fergus Dublin Ireland
The convertibles sell for 200/250,000.Euros
The coupé for 80,000 Euros
