This'll be the first world championship I follow in time live as it happens, I just got into the chess world after ding has already won , I just hope it's not like a Jake Paul game
I root for Ding, it would be nice to see him win again. The first win weighed him down so much. I wish he could enjoy this time. I know its not so likely.
@@BharatXtremeDing was already planning to retire from competitive chess. Magnus re-signing gave him a chance on the candidates which he never wanted to win since he had the retirement in his mind. He's achieved more than enough for a player so young and we'll probably see him retire after this championship even if he wins. It has happened multiple times in history of chess btw.
Well ding will shut everyones mouth who are saying he is acting all along ... I mean ding is an extreme level introverted person Idk what people think but he is not an actor.... I wish ding would play well and he would play head to head with gukesh since it's the first time gulesh will play the championship and also he is 18 so he will have a certain level of issues also ..... But at this moment with the momentum gukesh has a bigger shot...
As an Indian, I really do want to see gukesh win. That being said, I'm rooting for ding bc he seems like a very nice person and I cant resist rooting for an underdog. The moment he won against ian was so emotional and beautiful. I hope to see him fight, even if he ends up losing.
@@zayni13f I don't want it to be easy for either for them to win but since ding is not in form, I'm rooting for him to play good chess. Idk what's so confusing
Am i the only one who's now kinda small rooting for ding as well? Like, it cannot be more one-sided than this and everybody knows it and speaks openly about it. Ding winning it would be one hell of a comeback story.
I think that if the ties persist beyond the seventh game, Ding will retain the crown. But if Gukesh gets more than a point ahead after eight rounds, Ding would collapse and there will be a new world champion. The third option is that it will be an open match if either of them wins the first game on November 25.
27:30 The time control given is wrong. Each game will follow the time control of 120 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment starting from move 41.
don't you be fooled with Ding's recent performances. Anand was never known to win tournaments in his WC days, but very focus and did very well in World Championship. I predict Ding will win quite easily, with big margin. minimum +2

Gary Kasprov was absolutely right,It doesn't feel like a World championships match,Even though I am from Chennai, India same city as Gukesh I support him but it's after all it's World no. 5 vs World no. 22,The format for title contenders should change, Ranking should be considered mainly.
If wc has ti be closely fought or even somewhat closer then ding has to go for win if he goes defensive expecting 14 match draw ge will be done .opponent will sense and go for kill. He has to have winning mindset .not going to be easy as he is exceptionally bad form without single win for so long even drawing winning opposition like against liem nodirbek in olympiad . Gukesh on other side winning against wei yi in drawn position. Ding could win against nepo becz nepo has tendency to meltdown like against magnus. One game can collapse his momentum but gukesh has ability to bounce back seen in candidate against alireza .if ding has 5% of chance then striking first then regaining confidence only way forward. Looking extremely unlikely .this gukesh match to lose can't get easiest opponent than this for wc in fact this most weakest opponent in history considering he is sick out of form won't call two best players definitely something look forward unlike real wc when magnus there who I still no1 regardless who wins and few more years to come will rule .
Not to be controversial, but i think it's likely that the candidates might just have been a fluke for gukesh. He also lacks experience to compete with someone like ding over multiple weeks

Can't wait for Magnus and Levy duo in recaps!
no

That recap news feels like "levy always manages to get Magnus in the thumbnail" on steroids.
Can't believe he has the chance to make the recaps with the legend, the GOAT himself: Levy.
You actually had me in the first half
So great to see Hammer here. He's my favorite commentator
Very nicely put together prediction / WCC build up vid...❤
Jon is such a well spoken being, with great insights. Hope to see him join some of the live commentary/recaps on UA-cam ❤️
A note for MC Hammer: Gukesh isn't going to let any of his contemporaries near his prep team with a 10 foot pole. Ding is a bit more trusting.
This js true

This app is good. But let's all admit, we are here for Magnus' takes.
excellent content. keep it up.

World number 5 vs World number 22,it doesn't feel like world championship match,FIDE should change the qualifying format

What if Ding strategizes to draw all classical games? Then he might be the favorite in Blitz.
Gukesh will win for sure ❤
Can't wait for wcc
We need more of GM John Ludvig Hammer's WCC Seconds' stories. Absolute delight to hear.
Too many notifications during the Tata Steel Rapid and Blitz. Had to turn them off. Re-think notifications for Rapid and Blitz tournaments
Danyal Nordisky predicted Guki's candidates win
Yay Hammer! 😀
can anyone link when magnus makes his prediction? don't wanna watch the entire thing. you guys really should put sections into videos
It,was early in the video
“Have you ever made either of them cry?” 😂😂
Hammer the GOAT
Ding for the win
Gukesh will win:
5 games and draw 5 and lose 4

Magnus is the 16th World Champion, not 17th.
He has 17 world championships, with the rapid and blitz ones counted, I think that's what they mean.
$200K per game??? And Magnus still refused to play? I may have underestimated how rich he is hahah
Ofcourse Gukesh is favourite
But nothing can be said at the end it is chess
I think hans niemann predicted in chessbase india I believe.
hooodie is good.. how can i get it
Ding Liren is fox Player, my goal is that He Will win

So.. Magnust is not playing the world championship,,, but hes gonna review in detail every match and so? 🤔
Bold take by sagar 😮
Also, it would be super nice if the app had mini lectures by Magnus himself…
such as the 10 minute opening introduction of each games of wcc, and so on
If Gukesh can manage the inital nerves...GUKESH IS GONNA CRUSH DING...As Arjun said..its going to be a M......
Top 5 player vs. below top 20, en route below top 30 - what a joke of a "WCC."
What if its a 7-7 draw?
Tiebrakes are played(rapid and then blitz)
Rapid/blitz tiebreaks. If that's the case, Ding's chances to win go up exponentially.
how many times are you gonna repeat the magnus prediction he said in September. I we need new content, no this....
