    I purchased this very watch like two months ago and I absolutely love it. I purchased Erika's MN strap though, as they are even more comfortable to me. I barely take it off anymore .. like it at least as much as my JLC and Omega bcuz it looks so nice and wears so easy but is super rugged at the same time (I do a lot of swimming, diving, outdoor stuff like climbing etc.) And readable at all times it is, too

    You brought up a very good point. Under your concerns portion. The gaps the bezel. The rocking back and forth of the bezel with little effort. That would concern me as a buyer if this is supposed to be a robust Tudor diver watch. I’ve personally owned 2 omega SMP 300m and they don’t rock at the bezel. The gap between the Omega bezel is minimal at the case. Thank you for your detailed review and being honest about your likes and dislikes. This is how we all can learn more about watches from each other.

    M.N.23 here, and I noticed I have a gap as well, but I don't have another to compare against. My bezel is smooth however, when rotating in both directions. What I do have is a QC misalignment of my bezel by 1/4 of a millimeter where the bezel hashmarks are slightly off, I mean, VERY slightly off, where some people can't detect it, but others (including myself, can). If you think the bezel isn't smooth, see if you can get another copy to compare, then take it in. Overall I wish they went with a more solid 60 click bezel, keeping it bi-directional. I don't understand why 120 clicks if the hash marks are set to 60!? I may take mine in to adjust the bezel, but not until it needs its first service I think.

    10:18 no, that's not a "quality control issue." I've owned a lot of divers well over a 10 year period. That "gap" you're referring to is normal. I have two Tudor divers: BB54 and P39. Both bezels have a slight gap between the bezel and case; and both bezels function to Tudor's tolerances / standards.

    • @LocalWatchGuy

      Interesting! Good to know its not a quality control issue

      It is functional. Like you Said it at your cool Review, is your press the crown down it is softer/easier to rotat the bezel. Every BB have the same functionality.

      @@LocalWatchGuy come on man, "half an inch gap" 😀 That gap is maybe half a millimeter. Also, I kind of feel it is pointless to spend minutes complaining about a qc issue, which isn't actually a qc issue at all. Maybe find out first if it actually is a qc issue, then make a review video. Especially if you title the video "the good, bad, and ugly".

    I loved the way you did this video, btw I had Flaw 1 with my bb54, that’s why is old it but I think they are having more QC issues from this year, mine is MN22 so didn’t have same problem

    I went to the local Rolex/Tudor today and tried this FXD watch as well as the unidirectional regular 42mm Pelagos. I was not impressed with the bidirectional function of the bezel. The unidirectional bezel was butter smooth. I wonder how the black FXD (with the unidirectional) bezel performs. The shop didn't have one so I was unable to check. Put me off the purchase tbh. I need to try a MN22 and compare as I prefer the looks of the blue against the dark Ti case vs the black.

    That's quite funny. My $180 Tactical frog FX v4 (titanium, sapphire, ceramic bezel, Japan auto) doesn't have a gap under the bezel or wiggly crown.

      @@johnnysilverhand1733 nh35 is a great and reliable movement. But just continue to believe you need $$$ watches to make your life better. And sorry but i dont keep giant magnets around the house. It's a useless argument. Never ever seen a watch get magnetised. And even if it happens, Aliexpress sells demagnetisers for $10.

    The gap in the bezel is so you can clean it and push out any salt or sand

    What's the purpose of bi-directional bezel? Is it for navigation vs timing?

    • @krisvaneylen5391
      @krisvaneylen5391 3 місяці тому +1

      Actually both: it's for timing (countdowning) a certain direction (by compass) to swim before changing direction/timing...and so coördinating an underwater swimming route to a certain objective.
      Hope this helps a little 🙂
