Awesome collection. Just a tip from a fellow VHS collector, I would keep any moldy tapes away from the rest of your tapes, as the mold could spread. Happy hunting VHS ✌️
@@WhataGhoulWants I've been collecting for about 15 years and that Happy birthday to me is a gem of a find! Horror on VHS is so hard to come by in the "wild" I've gotten lucky like 3 times. I may put out a video of my collection eventually. I've got about 1500, only about 150 is horror. Good luck on the hunt ✌️
I was born in the 70's. Was a teenager in the 80's. It was a great time as a kid visiting the local video library. My friends and I used to do horror nights when we were 14/15. Great times! 😊
As a kid looking at the horror tapes in the video store was one of my favorite parts about going. Even if I wasn't brave enough to watch them yet haha. I don't have the space to collect vhs but I think it's really cool that people are collecting them again.
Same! I used to just look at the covers but didn’t really get into horror until later. And yeah they do take up a lot of space that is the downside, I definitely need more shelves for the ones I have now haha
I think if you collect movies running out of shelves is just part of the process lol. I also feel pretty lucky that I got to go to that same video store pretty frequently until they closed just last year.
I collected Horror VHS for years! Thrift stores, garage sales, and flea markets were always my go to places to look. Awesome collection Anna, a lot of cool gems in there 🎃🔥
That is a great VHS collection you have! Obviously I am super jealous that you have a copy of Happy Birthday to Me and Prom Night II on VHS. Those are great films and really cool to see on that format. Keep up the good work, nice to see another new horror UA-camr making a go of it. I have subbed!!
Awesome VHS collection. Out of all the movies you have, I have the first Child's Play on Blu-ray and Bride of Chucky on DVD along with the other sequels. I REALLY want to find "The Craft" and "The Shining" on Blu-ray to add to my collection.
This was so much fun! Love seeing your collection & look forward to more. Poltergeist lll is actually my favorite one AND Deep Blue Sea is my favorite shark movie of all time! 🖤🦈
Deep Blue Sea was even more entertaining by LL Cool J as a preacher/cook. What a character for him to play and make comical. The scene with him using an ax to hack his way out of an oven and to say that he’s not gonna be a cook to die in his own oven was funny.
I love your collection! I've never personally been into collecting VHS tapes unless it's a specific tape like Killer Klowns From Outer Space. But honestly it's a very impression collection, great video!
You have a copy of Pet Cemetery! What a high school memory it has with me. It was my senior year of high school and was out to see it at the theater with a friend when we ran into two girls he knew from school and had them sit with us. We all went to a burger place, afterwards, and did just what high school friends do . . . just hangout and talk with no grown up worries in sight.
Absolutely wanna see another video! It’s so funny to see the mold because I can actually see the tracking as you talk about the mold lol, and when are we getting together for a child’s play vhs marathon?
Great collection. A few years ago I bought the entire inventory of a video rental shop on eBay, that was back then when eBay was still funn and did not suck 🙂 There were also some damaged tapes, the tape with the mold that you have is very easy to clean, just run it through a vcr a few times at fast forward and then just vacuum the inside of the VCR and clean the video head with a little alcohol.
None of these movies I own on VHS. I used to own a couple but eventually sold some and never really got further. I truly admire this collection so much!
Love what you said about embracing older forms of technology. As a fellow 90s kid, it feels like both a trip down memory lane and a reminder of the quirks of the format. (There's something about rewinding a tape and waiting for it to be ready for viewing.)
I started out tonight wondering if there are any folk out there still watching VHS and ended up here. I think it’s really cool that you have a passion and appreciation for VHS. Would you ever consider recording your UA-cam videos on VHS? You know of Weird Paul? He’s a really interesting dude that does all his content on VHS and it’s such a pleasure to watch. Anywho, really amazing video and I look forward to watching more. Best wishes from Ireland. 👍
I seriously feel like we’re soul sisters! I follow you on Instagram and came across your channel while looking up horror vhs movies. I haven’t seen a lot of the movies you’ve talked about too. But they’re definitely on my list!
Nice collection. I grew up in the 80's and 90's and had a massive vhs collection then like a fool to save space I got rid of them now for the past five years or so I've been recollecting them all over again and I also like to hunt them in the wild. Mainly horror films because the cover art is so awesome. By the way watch Elvira, I saw the movie when I was like 10 and I fell in love with her. Stay cool!
It’s so interesting what we give away/get rid of then end up regretting it years later! Glad to hear you enjoy hunting for tapes ❤️ I’ll definitely watch Elvira soon, thanks for watching!
@@WhataGhoulWants Sure thing, let me know if there is something that's on your list that you can't find. Who knows I might stubble upon it in my neck of the woods.
I used to have over 1,000 horror VHS back in the day. But when DVDs came around I sold 100s and downsized my collection. My Holy Grail are VHS from Venezuela they play fine on American VCRs. I sold like 100 of them but kept 250 of them. But like 4 years ago I began collecting again buying videocassettes at Needledrop record shop that sells all forms of media. Unfortunately I haven't gotten back the ones I sold. You have a killer collection sis all are pure gold and some hard to find. It's rare to see a female liking horror so much well that's good for you. I hope your collection keeps growing. Good VHS showing and cool video sis!👍
Hi Goul, from Germany. I am very impressed of your collection. I collect now since 12 years VHS and it is getting harder to find some. Go on, you have got a cool collection. Flo
Very nice, i feel you on the video stores i miss them too! I'm also a 90's kid, i thought you were younger, you look more 20 than 30 hehe. I don't have a lot of vhs left, but they are good ones :P sadly the vhs format couldn't be dual languages and since i'm from Quebec, most of them are in french and that means that everything was written in french even the tittle and that turns me off these days loll. I watch everything in english now and would have liked the covers and tittles to be "original" not translated.. I guess that could give them more worth actually for some extreme collectors that want every single possible editions haha. Btw, i just got a dvd of Event Horizon and i didn't knew what to think of it i never seen it before. I didn't even knew it was horror loll and now i'm excited to watch it since you really liked it. Have a good one!
Yes please let me know what you think of Event Horizon when you see it! I have some friends from Canada and it’s always cool to see them post pictures of dvds and vhs with French titles haha Thanks so much for watching!

Ignore the haters, The Amityville Horror is a classic movie and is in no way boring. Probably not enough car chases and explosions for those people I guess lol. The fourth one is not about the house at all, it's about a haunted table lamp that gets bought from the original house!!!! I love the Craft too, it's a great movie, best 90's horror of all.
POLTERGEIST 3 is unique as most of the effects were largely "In-Camera" effects (not a ton of "animation/matte" effects). The film was essentially done, but the studio wanted the ending changed, so they used a dummy for the last shot, which is pretty obvious
I wish I could find some locally but mostly everyone is selling stuff I already have or really bad condition. I’ve kept all my tapes but I’m trying to buy the ones I want and never got around to seeing. I still have the ones I bought when my local blockbuster closed. The craft is one I’m always on the hunt for and it’s a shame yours has mold. Hopefully that doesn’t hurt playback too much but cleaning it just takes a lot of patients. I would also replace the case for the tape also when you clean it.
I wish I was into collecting when all the video stores around me closed too! Yeah going to thrift stores can mean a lot of looking with little success so I always get so excited when I actually find something good! Hopefully I can find a good copy of The Craft soon, thanks so much for watching ❤️🙏🏻
