I love watching these old videos and hearing James say something like "We don't even have terrain editing tools." Always makes me double take and check when the video was uploaded. Weird to think so much stuff was missing from the game for so long and how everyone just found a way around it.
What I really love is how you put so much detail into children's bedrooms, like they don't even fit exactly into the aesthetic of the rest of the house because they're full of realistic and intimate childhood belongings
how are people this good at this? how do people get the ideas? how do people have the patience? how is so much perfection achieved?? teach me your ways, james!
AxNae watching other people build sims houses and 'stealing ideas' is actually really helpful because you get to know new techniques, learn what works and what doesn't, and get a lot of creative input but go off
+NorthLight 03 spa day and get together for the actual house :) He used outdoor retreat trees as well. You could always do the interior yourself if you don't have all the packs. x
Kalea Bunny Thanks! :D Unfortunately The Sim Supply never saw this comment (at least I think so) because he was away when he uploaded this video. I mentioned this idea in a later video once he got back but I wasn't early enough for people to see it and like it to become a popular comment... I do feel honoured that so many people liked my idea though! :)
Squidneythe Squid, No they don’t, you have to place multiple windows and you can see the frames so it still looks like a bunch of windows instead of one glass wall.
This is definitely one of your coolest builds Jamesy! Also, also, I like that you're having coffee whilst commentating. Makes us feel like we're hanging out with you!
But the glas has to be specially designed for huge pressure because of the water and it will be hard for someone to do that under water. Think about swing a hammer under water and then hit a window that's nearly unbreakable😋
Oh, look! What a nice little spring! Wanna go skinny dipping ;) Sure why not? No body's around... *People in the house* Oh god make sure the kids aren't around!
@@SaturneKx no kidding! I was at work and a coworker of mine read a label which said "highly viscous" and when she mentioned having to wear protective gloves, I asked why. It's funny watching past videos and listening to you asking for stuff to be fixed/added and see that 4 years later, we still don't have them! Like the pool table or the roof glitch!
I don't even play Sims 4 but this house looks so good, I legit want to live here I have an intense love for water though, so that might have something to do with it
James 6 when you started....wow...I started at 21 back in 2001 still going strong with the sims but TS3 will always be a fav because we had so much creativity which is when I decided you are one of the best builders out here.
James doing another 'Let's Build. Can't say no tbh Plus James building's skills at 6 years old are still better than my building skills to this current day! haha
I was going to say, "Hey, James I also played Sims since Sims 1." until you said you were 6 in 2000. Then I thought, damn I'm old... I was 16 in 2000. By the way, this has got to be one my favorite house that you've build.
This is by far, the best sims 4 house you ever made! Although, if it was in real life, it would be really unstable because of how much water the basement has to hold above itself.
I’m getting my masters in architecture, and fun fact lots of schools were designed based on prison designs for a period of time. New schools usually aren’t but in terms of what schools need, they are pretty similar to prisons (classrooms/cells, cafeteria etc.). The high school I went to was based on a prison as well.
I know you made this video a while ago, but right now I'm on a Sims3 binge, so when I can't play it I'm watching UA-cam building videos, and you are now my favorite UA-camr. You're an amazing architect and I really love listening to you talk. What really struck me in this video was the coffee thing because EVERY SINGLE TIME i play Sims, I make myself coffee and then I forget that it's there and it goes cold. Hahaha
I started to play The Sims 1 when it came and I was 26 yo, also watched Recess, I've always loved watching cartoons (You never grow old of cartoons, The Sims and lego ;) ) Love your building clips and going to get TS4 after watching your clips, so thanks for sharing them. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I recently went to margaret river for a John butler concert, beautiful place! And I know of the cave thing you're talking about... but i also wouldn't know what it's called either.. merry Christmas! Keep up this awesome builds!
For some reason I am super freaked out that you're the same age as me... On another topic, I would LOVE to see you build a huge convention center. :D The large, complex builds make me very interested, personally!
Omg he does XD. Also I thought that maybe because they’re are both Australian that non-Aussies may think their voices are similar, but I’m Australian and it’s not just the accent, they do sound sooooo much alike
I love Sim Supply on coffee you sound really fun. Amazing build too! So cozy and a breath of fresh air after watching mostly your modern builds. Brilliant idea, too.
Dude, I started watching your videos a couple of weeks ago because I finally got the sims 4 and you're giving me so many ideas. I guess I have to make an underwater house today.
This is SUCH an *old* build. Lmao I'm here in 2020 and I cant even imagine Anyway, I made my house in the sims 4 recently, and I'm so happy with it, it's only slightly not accurate because you cant build walls on half tiles and some of the rooms are in that weird half tile area
this is so impressive im shitting myself about how much talent you have. im like sharing this with my friends who dont even care about the sims because its just so ridiculously cool
Oh man, this is probably my favorite one so far that I’ve seen you do. Once I have all of the packs and stuff used on it, I want to download this one and use it. Super cool, unique, and fun. Thank you for sharing!
The kitchen looks like an old bar in my neighbourhood. Love the vibe 🤗 And thanks for all the inspiration. I am HORRIBLE at making layouts, so I always download houses and redecorate them 😅 But I started watching your videos to get some more inspirations for own builds. Great job, keep it up! 😁
15:24 The 'woodeny vibe' you've got going is very classic Midwest/Northwest American. At least, that's what it looks like to me. All the warm lighting, rich darker wood grains and white trims. It's like every middle class family home I ever saw growing up. Btw, you become twice the adorable huuman bean on coffee. I love it 😂😂
I can't even make decently proportioned rooms and this dude is making a house under a rock pool he made. What kinda voodoo magic is used here…

&& now that we have access to Sulani debug items. :D
Yesss!! Would LOVE to see that one!
Oh thats why he said theres no terrain tool /i'm dumm/
And now there's an actual pond tool....

You try and you get better over time, and not watch others build houses and then steal ideas. That simple
I've been building Sims houses since the Sims 3 and trust me it was usually an entire day affair. It's fun but it takes a lot of time
It's kinda like art :) you keep doing it over and over, and you enjoy it, and you get real passionate about it, but it does have it's problems...
AxNae watching other people build sims houses and 'stealing ideas' is actually really helpful because you get to know new techniques, learn what works and what doesn't, and get a lot of creative input but go off

slimkt my favorite part lmao!!! 😂😂😂😂
They should also put in full glass walls in the sims. Or at least full glass windows that take up the entire wall.
Thetechgenius they have those
Squidneythe Squid, No they don’t, you have to place multiple windows and you can see the frames so it still looks like a bunch of windows instead of one glass wall.
Is there not a mod you can download?
I would legit live here omg James. Have you ever considered doing something in architecture or home design or whatever?
BeebaLazyVlogs my exact reaction
Honestly! If he can do this in the Sims, I'd love to see him delve into 3D rendering and home design.
i hope he doesn't, his builds are an architect's nightmare. not because of the aesthetic, but because of the structure.
it would be amazing but this wouldn't really be feasible irl unfortunately :(
but what if someone broke the glass roofs..? U would literally drown and die.

you should do a build one day, where you start with placing the bin and building the rest of the house around it
You should do rebuild with the turain tool!
James, you should recreate this now that we have terrain tools and the unlocked world items!
Can you do a school build?
Omg!! He should totally build a school!!
Yeees
do a secondary school they're bigger!
??
i don't think he has enough stuff but i'd be interesting to see how he works it out
I'm so excited to see what TheSimSupply would build after the CityLife EP released.
