    Thanks for the info! We've had several interior AirStone pieces fall off our wet bar. This was the perfect fix! 😁

    Thank you - very helpful - especially the specific adhesive recommendation. We recently purchased a home built in 1958 and there are a number of areas with loose or dislodged stacked stone.

      Only thing I will say about that is if it is located where the stones get hot, this is not rated for high temperatures. If it is on the outside of a firepit and it doesn't get hot then this could work.

    Thank you! The hardware store had me buy cement and all kinds of materials. I’m hopeful I can accomplish reattaching the veneer stones this way. Question, what would you suggest that would be heavy enough to lean against a flat surface? The front of our house has several loose and fallen stones (I’m assuming from my son playing soccer).

    You should address the problem why it came off in the first place. It probably got water behind it and when it froze in the winter, it will force it off the surface. I'd make sure you seal the top so water doesn't run down behind it.

    I have a whole wall of stone that fell off due to a very bad job originally applying it. Do you have any tips on how I tackle this job??? Obviously having to let it cure & having something keep it from falling during the curing is going to be the biggest challenge.

    This is another video from you that I am taking advantage of. I used your dryer vent cleaning video and that worked great. Thanks!
    I have a question for you about veneer stone . So, I just discovered that a 3-4 row section (including the top cap) of my brick veneer is totally detached from the stucco siding of the house. Approx 15-20 pieces or so are affected.
    It's fitting like a delicate puzzle at the moment. I need to adhere it back to the house before it has a great fall, like Humpty Dumpty.
    What would you suggest in the way of adhesive to stick it back on the side of the house?? The stuff you're using?
    Also, since I can't wrap it because of where the location is on the side of the house, what would you suggest in that regard.

    • @HowToHomeDIY
      @HowToHomeDIY  2 роки тому +2

      Awesome! I am glad that video was helpful for you! Yes the adhesive I used should work in your situation as well as long as the surface it is being applied to is good. As to how to hold that many in place, that is definitely a challenge. Maybe put them back up a few at a time. Could lean a ladder or something like that against them. Anything that can just kind of hold them in place for a little while.

      @@HowToHomeDIY Thanks for the video and the reply back! I did as you suggested and it looks like it's holding up fine. Leaned some wood against it for a few days and added a few bricks to the top rail. Thanks again!

    Thank you so much from Asheville NC! What if it’s a flat wall out front and high up? What should I do to keep it in place for a day besides holding it there myself for 24 hours? Which I would do. And would Gorilla Glue help at all for now? It’s like yours but stuck to the hot front of a house with a stone wall on stucco.Thank you sir

    Need to replace fallen stone over fireplace. Think the landscape glue will be ok if exposed to heat? Stone is on top edge of Firebox exterior.

    • @HowToHomeDIY
      @HowToHomeDIY  3 роки тому

      Hey Kent, I would not recommend it to be applied in close proximately to heat. It isn't flammable once cured but it is not made for high heat. The product is a synthetic rubber which will soften and fail starting around 150°F. So it would absolutely be better to use a mortar to reattach it. I know that's definitely not as appealing but would be the best way to repair the stone in this situation. I hope this helps!

    • @HowToHomeDIY

      So it is not rated for high heat so I would probably not recommend it for a fireplace unless its far away from the heat itself.

    • @snoboredca

      David, I looked it up and TSP stands for Trisodium Phosphate. In the hardware store they literally just call it TSP, so this isn't just Adam's acronym and assuming we know what it means.
      I also learned that the substitute is literally just called "TSP Substitute"... right on the can/bottle.
