    Gender equality is not about equality of outcome rather it's about equality of opportunities,rights,and protection.As men and women are different in their physical and mental abilities,so are men different in physical and mental abilities.Equality of men does not mean every man should be equally successful.It means every man must have equal opportunities to achieve success by providing level playing field.Same is the case with gender equality,which seeks equality of opportunities between men and women.Today,women do not have same opportunities(in some cases same rights) as men in almost all countries including the rich ones.Because women are discriminated on the basis of gender,gender equality is a myth.It's not real.
    As far as your assessment about achieving gender equality is concerned,you are right in pointing out that it is achievable.

    My question is about the outline.. Is it necessary to write the outline in the sequence where sub headings are written down under a broader bullet?? i mean can we just write down all the points in the outline after giving the heading of introduction with out mentioning the broader heading and then conclusion at the end??? Please recommend

    It was the Agrarian and Agricultural societies, when inequality started to emerge both in terms of gender and capital. The earlier hunting and gathering societies were rather thought to be matriarchal, and in terms of capital, Karl Marx considered them to be ideal communist societies where everyone did the same kind of work and held same kind of power. With agricultural revolution, however, came more specialization of tasks and men started to be in control of provision of food and women other tasks. This changed the whole equation of power and gender.
    It's a well-explained and a good lecture otherwise

      Not true. Early human societies were not matriarchal. That myth had been heavily debunked.

    • @aashrithreddy2917
      @aashrithreddy2917 3 роки тому

      They were relatively egalitarian and not as efficient as agricultural societies.also there was still division of labour

    • @bakhitamaryam
      @bakhitamaryam 3 роки тому +4

      @@aashrithreddy2917 even if they were not matriarchal, they were not patriarchal as well. Also there was no division of labor at all. Everyone did the same kind of work. That's also the basis of Karl Marx's theory of historical materialism. That at first, society used to be equal, people did the same kind of work, so no class conflict.

    i think its about gender equality not about women's right why Men's are not mentioned in this topic?

    • @ainnie2441
      @ainnie2441 2 роки тому

      Because today's world is patriarchal so equality means raising women to the level of men, not pulling down men to the level of women. Gender equality means equal opportunities for both genders to excel in life.

    I think you have interpreted the essay wrong
    It doesn't say whether gender equality is achievable or not. If interpreted like this, you have argued that yes gender equality is achievable.
    The essay says gender equality is a myth. We have to tell whether there is gender equality around us or not. Or is it a myth?

    In Nature vs Nurture, nature comes first, it's a base upon which nurture begins.
    "Gender equality is myth" is a factual statement, not rhetorical one. The idea/concept of gender equality is a lie, scam, utopian dream peddled by feminism & communism.
    In hierarchical society any kind of equality is unrealistic, unachievable & unnecessary. Just insane amount of inequality shouldn't be there. Otherwise inequality is by default nature of society (so nature, universe). Society is patriarchal in structure (partially these days) but it's fully GYNOCENTRIC in nature. Patriarchy exists to maintain gynocentrism. Patriarchy exists because of women's hypergamy.
    And yes men & women r different fundamentally. More egalitarian society becomes, more gender differences increases. There is more percentage of female engineers in India than in Sweden, debunking ur gender equality utopian dream.

    Never.......Disagreed.
    Although we all have the liberty to disagree on an argumentative essay, but the above given arguments are not enough.... Say the opposite things...
    👉 Can u deny that the major religions of the world, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism consider women unequal, though not inferior.
    👉 Even in the West, no where u see equality
    👉 Above you said, "no inherent thing in women that make her unequal"... Why u deny the biology and chemistry of women and men bodies and their physical strength.....????
    👉 U said, social constructed... So they are a reality that such things are constructed and is unfortunately a reality. Why deny a bad reality...???
    Note. I consider female more competent than men in some top fields like medical, law etc, so unequal to man.

    • @ainnie2441
      @ainnie2441 2 роки тому +1

      Its not about inherent capabilities of any gender. Rather it is about providing equal opportunities. All religions of the world give equal rights (though not identical) to all genders. Like in Pakistan you see people (specially from lower socio-economic background) educating their sons because they think they will earn bread for them and women do not need any education. No religion preaches this but it is a social reality that men get more opportunities in every field than women. Women are subjected to sexual abuse, domestic violence, and often objectified at their workplaces for various reasons, which is not the case with men. Hope you understood the argument here.
