Things to keep in mind with Starlink. Starlink is not fully deployed and the laser communication between satellites is also not fully implemented. Trees will be an issue as the signal is going to space. The WIFI router isnt the greatest and even a distance of 10' can greatly degrade speeds, I highly recommend the cat5 dongle to your internal network and bypass the router. For those of us living in the boondocks, Starlink is about 10-20x faster then the available internet. Also one last thing, the "RV" version of starlink is limited, I highly recommend getting starlink for home and paying the extra to allow mobile use, then you wont get the lower speeds. Having 2 internet sources is a good idea, I use 2 myself.

Living outside of a metro area is rough.

I channel bond my Verizon and AT&T hotspots with my Starlink. Switching systems is seemless and automatic. Plus I can combine them all into one high bandwidth signal for any and all conditions using Speedify.

I'm so glad someone is speaking the truth about starlink. We have many completely dead statellite coverage in midwest and in southern US. Starlink is also way slow speeds than most pay attention too. Most don't even know or test they're speeds. Thank you for telling the truth about starlink. Great job. 👍

I have some advice for fellow RV Travelers. Some of the campgrounds are wooded I would recommend RV customers should be promoting star Link business to these campground owners. The improvement in Campground Wi-Fi Will be greater and it should be cheaper. Most of the owners of Campground have their office is an open areas and the business dish it’s better with storms because it’s larger. I think this is a good solution for treed campgrounds.

ATT sucks for backup IMO. They got poor coverage while RVing in the West using our Togo/Winegard unit, THEN ATT welched on their $360/yr unlimited data deal, just like the FMCA unit. ATT does OK in cities, more in the East, but we don't camp in cities. Verizon is the go to provider for backup, providing the best coverage everywhere across the country IMO. I think everyone who has used the 3 major providers agree with that. At Verizon, $60 for 100GB or $80 for 150GB/mo. That's what we use in our PepWave router. Our Starlink works great, but you do have to be prudent about camping with few trees around.

Its far better than any thing out there. By far. Through out the hurricanes in Florida far higher upload and download speeds than any cable service. Try having Google Earth and knowing exactly where you are in 3D. Caching systems can help. 5G is so sensitive you litteraly have to remove all shades if an RV or create an attenana. Dish and others all have are basically the same.
Even the coffee place or a huge parking lot shared.
You have your own satellite point to point connection rarely seen even during the last hurricaned.
Remember the statistics provided by Starlink far exceed Okla, Speedtest in the analytics of hardware, router, unlimited data.
One can eliminate the need for a phone entirely and live easily use the majority of the time to connect as well as any Silly Phone Valley modem battery or antenna ability.
Most cellphone towers dont even have battery back up power. Its like 1990s dialup modems with 2 mbps upload.
Starlink will always he highly available, secure, and a mesh of privacy away from all intervening chaperones of no privacy.

How comes that it will slow down, in YOUR opinion? The more Starlink buy and use the more satellites going up and this is also the reason that Starlink uses "cells".

Consider HDMI ( plug in back/side of TV) cable to Cell Phone charging port, micro, iPhone, android, etc... when watching Netflix, HBO MAX, Direct TV, etc. When using this connection, make sure you have a charging disk/pad, for the charging port of cell phone is being used. This connection will assist in saving internet usage.

Verizon looks like it has more coverage than ATT. We have US Cellular, and we've gone from CA to Minnesota and had coverage phone wise. Didn't try internet, but it should work. I would be worried someone would steal the dish. I think Minnesota is their base for US Cellular.

Good god why do SO MANY channels still have to do the reaction photo thumbnail thing. "WHAT?!?" "OH NO!!!" "YIKES!!!" ad nauseum. 🤣 People saw some successful channels use it years ago then bam everywhere. Someone seriously needs to be the pioneer of the next effective thumbnail so we can quietly put that one to rest, 6 feet under, in a grave in Siberia. LOL I think it should be y'all!! Good content will get views, no dramatic reaction thumbnail needed. Promise promise. Not specifically picking on your channel. Just fresh on my mind. This was one of the pet peeves on Reddit recently and there were thousands of upvotes, people who have boycotted any channel still using it. Hahaha Y'all are only 1 of millions that still use it so you ain't alone. 😂 Surely some originality is in the works soon for our beloved UA-cam channels, hoping, praying, begging.

Starlink has been so overhyped, that it is not even funny. The initial price and the recurring monthly fees (which are only going to increase) are main reasons for me to stay away from it. Compound that with the RV’er being on the bottom of the pile for speed, in busy areas and the forthcoming fight between Musk and Dish is going to be a problem. Especially, since Musk is on very weak ground in his position on the 12 ghz band. Good video, and we use Verizon and MiFi - works great. If we have service, great and if not, who cares - I’m retired!

A couple of things... The first one: shade/Sun-may be able to be solved with the longer cable option. Lawyers will drag out that lawsuit; the Gvmt seems to only pass internal memos when it comes to regulation; think more damaging issues: Payday Loans or BNPL... If 'having-to-work is for real work, then you simply have to adjust your wanderlust to accommodate your needs.
If network traffic is high when you are ready to relax, plan ahead ..get a little program: AUDIALS. A german guy makes it so you can record anything you can see on a laptop. (PC only, unfortunately) I have cable at my business in town and none at home, so I carried Netflicks and Amazon Prime (even UA-cam) home on USB sticks for years.
But! ..now I have an imperfect/perfect STARLINK which, 'with obstructions, does better than any other satellite offering. I am thrilled at the prospect of Starlink only getting better. Jim
