It really bothers me that Sakuya didn't just let him leave and/or timehax him out of the mansion. The spell card rules exist exactly to prevent this kind of needless killing from happening.

The spellcard rules only apply if both the fighters know and obey the rules. In the case, Sans is a foreigner that doesn't know anything about how the spellcard rules work.
The SDM has always been restrictive when it comes to visitors. So Sakuya instinct to kill a literal living skeleton wearing a blue hoodie that could talk is understandable, considering you probably never see that kind of stuff on gensokyo
@@naufaldreamer270 The thing is though, Sakuya was the first one to violate the spell card rules. She had no way of knowing he wasn't familiar with them, yet she didn't even try to challenge him to a spell card battle, she just went straight for the kill. While he may not have known the rules, he was still keeping with the spirit of them.
Edit: Also, while most of the youkai we're familiar with in Touhou look like cute girls, that's by no means a hard rule, as we see with Unzan, and Genji if you count him. There's no reason to believe a skeleton wearing a hoodie would be all that notable.
@@IBeforeAExceptAfterK then again, Sans is a foreigner that just breaks in into the SDM, by that logic he must had passed Meiling and other guardian fairies, Sakuya probably thought he is some kind of thieves or a robber. Outside of the SDM, the act if bypassing the Hakurei Barrier without the concern of the sages is a crime. The act of literal crime doesn't need to be justified with the spell rules, especially a minor crime like robbery etc. The fortune teller literally got KILLED by Reimu just because he turn into a youkai at some point. Junko wanted to KILL the protagonist and pretty much broke the spellcard rules in some of her attack. Spellcard rules isn't something to justifed the act of crime, it's some thing to makes restrictive battle more fair and less destructive. and of course skeleton with a hoodie would be concerning. What kind youkai species he is? unzan, and the fortune teller clearly is a species of local youkai. Even if he is not concerning, skeleton by the point of view of people on gensokyo, would be considered as a results of necromancy, which is fine for killing as necromancy is a taboo act

You know, I always felt bad for versus video creators as they always get alot of hate; Especially when a mainstream characters loses the battle.
What's even more depressing is the fact that some animators spend months or make a living of this type of stuff just to show you their take on the scenario.

well yea. but unlike him, every monster from undertale who hits your soul , than your soul becomes invincible for a second. while when sans hitts you, not just that you take damage until you stop making contact with his attacks, but he also gives you poison that gives extra damage even when is your turn. not to mention that he can hit you even in the files (but to be fair, you remain with at least 1 hp).
Uh I think you meant Sans only has 1 HP. But I guess for some reason he was given hacks to survive much more than that which to me looked like it would make pretty decent work against any other character.

Let's face it, as powerful as Sans is, it's utterly muda compared to someone who can stop time.
Scientifically, if you move while time is "stopped", you actually end up generating infinite force and energy to the point you would rip the universe a new asshole with even the slightest of movements you make.
Basically, each thrown knife from Sakuya would have been as fast or even faster than projectiles sent out of a railgun. This means characters like her and DIO are walking, talking, fully automatic railguns with disturbingly great accuracy.
Sakuya had this fight in the bag well before it even started.
EDIT: Alright, last I checked, VS Battles were supposed to be strictly *Canon VS Canon* affairs. Just shoving your fanmade AU's down our throats is just plain stupid. I don't care if "X AU Sans" can do this or that, that's not canon nor will it ever be made canon.

Well you see, this is normal sans. Take for example...Last Breath Sans. He would have ended her, considering he can completely stop you from using any attacks for a few minutes, you can't heal, run, or do anything until his power fades. Last about 3 minutes before it runs out. That's for the third phase though, he has like 5 phases for some reason.

1.Sans can’t manipulate time. He can only teleport.
2. Sans only has 1 hp, 1 atk, and 1 def. He’s only strong because of the KR ability he has.
3. Sans does not have plot armor. He literally only has 1 def.
4.Sans lasted too long. The reason for this was that Sakuya was still following the Spell Card Rules. In which you can’t kill a human native nor can you make your attacks impossible to dodge. But Sans is no Human nor is he a citizen in Gensokyo. Sakuya was probably just toying with him.

Sans' Strengths:
- Can immediately teleport.
- Can use telekinesis.
- (Possibly)Can pause time.
- Has Karma hax.
- Can move likely around if not even faster than sound.
- Plausible physical defense nullification.
- Can arguably continue for a good while even after taking a lethal and seemingly fatal blow.
Sans' Weaknesses:
- Shitty stamina(gets tired/exhausted quickly).
- 1 DEF and 1 HP(One good solid hit and he's out).
- 1 ATK(Scales damage to karma/weak as fuck against non bad people).
Sakuya's Strengths:
- Time hax(can bend time over her knee and make it her bitch).
- Can overwrite/overtake other time hax.
- Can move seemingly close if not at light speed.
- Throws out a frantic amount of attacks each turn.
- Has seemingly infinite stamina.
- Is a very morally good person(karma doesn't work too well).
- High enough durability to take moon level hits and keep going.
- Can use shields to defend herself.
Sakuya's Weaknesses:
- None of note.
- None that'll save Sans from being turned into bone-meal.
Man, as much as I love Sans, he just has no way of winning here even once, he's basically a street or building level skele-dude going against a time goddess who is at least moon level. If anything, these two would likely never fight in a realistic situation.
@Alexander Ya know, I actually labeled on her part how karma wouldn't work on her, and yes he has telekinesis with blue mode, or gravity whatever, doesn't matter, and Sans was shown in game to last longer than he should as a normal monster, also the human was also able to keep up with a God like Asy soooo ya know? Sans and the human have uncalculated speeds at the end of the game so Sans could be low human speed to high human to sound speed to even fuckin light speed depending on his blasters with the human dodging those and Sans being able to out-pace them. Even then all of your input is kinda irrelevant since it doesn't change anything. Also he wouldn't "survive" a hit, he'd just take the hit and push through until he either dropped or got diced, which doesn't matter cause the result would be the same. And he clearly shows the ability to pause time around him like two to three times when talking to you and even during his fight when shifting attacks at the end of his battle. Basically your input doesn't change anything and was a waste of your time.

Frisk (and the player) dodges the gaster blasters because they make an loud sound before shooting, warning us (same with Asriel's lighthing, also that he was holding back alot and he didn't really wanted to reset the timeline as shown when we ''save'' him)
Well, it's true that Sans has timestop, but his timestop is infinitely outmatched by Sakuya.

This isn't even a VS, this it's just Sans being Sakuya's punching bag, you can tell because he didn't get a single hit on her.
Even if he did, it wouldn’t do anything. sakuya’s animations are taken from soku (probably), which would mean she has actual hp. now, this is important because we can assume sans can only fight at his super-duper 1-hp-lost-per-frame potential when he’s fighting someone who’s done some REALLY fucked up shit (i.e genocide frisk), which i just realized sakuya probably has, so my whole argument is invalid... DAMMIT!

@@trashscript1479 While it isn’t confirmed, it’s assumed that Sakuya has murdered (or hunted, I suppose) humans in order to feed her mistresses, who are Vampires. If this is correct (which, again, isn’t confirmed, but is likely given what we know) then I’m pretty sure she’d be roughed up hard with a solid hit from Sans. The REAL question is whether or not this would be possible. I’m on the fence in this regard, as Sans possesses the spaminess to all but guarantee a hit on Sakuya, due to her prone to undodgeable surprise attacks as she cannot properly reverse time (this is shown in Silent Sinner in Blue, if I recall) so her only defence against it would be preemptively stopping time, which she, in theory, has no reason not to do, However in the aforementioned example in Silent Sinner in Blue she also did not stop time preemptively, so maybe she won’t do it against Sans either? On top of that, Sans would most likely need multiple hits to finish off Sakuya, which would alert her to just how spammy Sans is. Here we must ask what we know about Sans’ own time manipulation. in-game we really just see him conjuring predetermined(?) attack patterns, so imma guess time stop or limited timeline hopping? probably time stop tho. In this case we must ask how susceptible Sans and Sakuya both are to time shenanigans. Based on Sakuya v Sakuya in the fighting games, and what Sans knows in Undertale, I’m going to guess they both are aware of time abilities used against them, but are nonetheless susceptible to them, making the fight a Za Warudo Spam-Off, which I guess Sakuya would win as she hasn’t really been shown being physically tired from using her powers.
tldr: Sakuya most likely wins this fight, but it’s not like Sans doesn’t stand a chance.

Overall I liked the dedication and flow of the animation, even the point were Sans was struck with a regular attack because there is really no stat for his health was a good choice. I give kuddos to you Igot. The music and sound effects were both superb and I didn't see any flaws with how you handled character movement. The characters felt like they were pretty much moving like they would in their respective games. Lighting was also very well done.
Now for the stuff that I had a slight distaste for:
1. San's teleportation: I probably have a rough estimate as to why San's teleportation ability was not brought up during the animation, but I kinda disliked how his teleportation wasn't put into play. It would've been pretty cool to see him using it at a few points.
2. One Sided: I get the emphasis on this being a short animation and a extended one would be kind of nice in the future, but with animation comes a lot of work and I get that. A little bit before halfway through the fight it felt a little one sided. And I get that Tohou is a extensively amazing game with supremely hard bosses for the most hardcore of fans and that, in canon, all characters are pretty much beyond broken but the San's fight in Undertale, one of the hardest fights made by the creator itself, showed Sans starting off with a completely left field surprise attack that would kill most people at the beginning if they did not know. That start didn't really feel like it was happening here and overall it felt like he was put on the defensive right from the start. Some back and forth would've been great with San's going for a surprising start with multi-teleportation mixed in with his blue heart mechanic.
In the end I liked the animation and I can somewhat get why Sans doesn't have some of his abilities in the animation, but my question is why doesn't he have all his abilities. Even if he went into a new world he wouldn't exactly need to follow those world rules. He has done some rather game breaking things in his respective game like how many times he has fought the player, the shortcuts, he'll he even broke his own forth wall by basically telling the player to tell himself a password.
In the end Sans was given a fighting chance and I like that, but having it pretty one sided kinda just made it feel like there shouldn't have been a fight at all. It makes me feel like overall Touhou just beats anything if given the chance and is just in a realm of its own just playing around with itself.
I am not trying to beat down on this but overall I feel rather empty watching this amazing animation about a one sided fight. Like nothing was felt except for "At least San's had a little plot armor to keep going".
In the end this may seem like a complaint or just some useless rambling, but what about this: What if the two of them fought against one of the main protagonist? Just imagine the potential.
In my head I feel like the Tohou vs Undertale stuff is unnecessary and that it should be combined into more of a collaboration than just a "Tohou: The Busted AF hardcore bullethell game vs Undertale: The make you get the feels game"
Yeah I went there: I would rather see collaborations between two different worlds than war.

And you're right, it felt like the whole thing was only on Sakuya's side and Sans was just an regular skeleton who could only move even tho that wasn't purposeful, the fight was supposed to be longer, Sans would use more attacks and do more combinations with them (the same for Sakuya) but i rushed it and the final product didn't go as what it was supposed to be in the beggining, i'm making *kind* of a sequel to this fight (a sequel to the lore not the fight itself, so don't expect a sans vs sakuya part 2 or disbelief papyrus vs sakuya xD) so i can answer some questions and overall try to make a story out of all these fights and requests...again thank you for your criticism, it helps a lot!!
Honestly I rather not see a Disbelief Papyrus vs. Sakuya, while some AUs are cool and all, I really wouldn't like that they have to be brought up when the animation is using official characters.

GypsySprite Well pulling Sakuya towards the ground would handicap her, making her unable to do her attacks. Though I don’t know anything about Sakuya so i wouldn’t know how it would play out. Gravity powers would atleast change the outcome of the story for all I know

I don't disagree with the outcome (Sans just can't keep up with someone like her) but to be fair I don't think the time stop would be as effective as this video shows. Sans is aware of time shenanigans and has even been shown able to manipulate it himself, pausing time around him to have a private conversation and even placing attacks around Frisk while time is stopped. He also can break the 4th wall and manipulate gameplay mechanics, for example in the case of Touhou he would likely attack the person's life bar directly or go outside of the attacking window so he couldn't be hit while still spawning his attacks within it.
He's never been shown to do your fourth wall stuff/data manip and his ''time manip'' isn't confirmed. Sooo yeah. I mean either way he can't keep up :/
@@OnlyCattoKnows he literally attacks your cursor, dodges in a system where that's not supposed to happen, hits you multiple times a second, and when all else fails flat our refuses to end his turn in order to stop you from attacking. He manipulates the battle system to his advantage to get around the player's insane statistical advantage, and in the end the only way to beat him is by breaking the system yourself and attacking on his turn. As for time manipulation everything stops around you including idle animations and no one in the restaurant says anything about the wierd ass conversation you two had after he resumes. He clicks the screen black and when it comes back your surrounded by attacks from all sides, and he does this multiple times in succession with no time to place those attacks in between (we see that the blasters take a second to deploy). There is no way that's just teleporting, and with his talk about trying to go back in time it makes sense that he learnt how to pause it but never go back.
@@MrAppleSalad Dodging isn't a unique skill in Undertale's Universe though (Asgore was able to avoid Undyne completely if I remember her story right). Most monsters just aren't very capable.

Also, no one talks about the convo because nobody cares and i'm sure that idle animations stopping is due to a bug because it still runs like a river for me. Also if you know an undertale easter egg you'd know he talks about going back in time because there is a time machine in the back of his house. Either way it's not confirmed. His turn never ends, we attack while the battle box is still there. That's not subjective, that's just how it is. That machine in Sans' lab is still a big mystery, no one knows what it is. By idle animations stopping I mean Grilby and all the people in the restaurant, plus you didn't refute my points of him spamming attacks using the flashing black despite us SEEING that they have starting lag, nor the fact that no one mentions the weird and somewhat creepy conversation Sans has with you during that scene in Grilbys. He stops time so he can talk to you in private. Nothing I'm saying is opinion, I can give you screenshots if you want.

I'm confused, Sans can see different timelines, even in another place, plus time stop as well, and Blue Magic and yet, he still lost. I'm pretty sure Sans could of beat her with his abilities I mentioned. Rematch?
I assume the confusion comes from not knowing enough about Sakuya. She's a magical superhuman that controls spacetime.
If Sans can go to Touhou and survive with a slash wound, then something is not right. You can say there's an Error/Glitch in the system. Plus Frisk or Papyrus (Maybe even Gaster) may figure out how and know where is the dead Sans, Frisk, Papyrus, and Gaster might just be able to defeat her because Gaster can't die without a psychical stage (which he doesn't have). Papyrus can negate damage with the help of Gaster, and Frisk can go LV19 (Based of Glitchtale) or use the 6 souls with the power of reset. Sakuya (whatever her name is) can attack Frisk and even glitch into the Game Over screen, but with the Three of them. Maybe, just maybe they can avenge Sans.

I always think of that watch as a type of cheat since aside from the time abilites, the only thing sakuya really uses to fight is a bunch of knives. If she were up against an opponent who couldn't be hurt by normal weapons or physical attacks, than even with time stop, it would have been difficult for sakuya to defeat them. Then again, its sans, and while hes used to fighting humans with knives, he only has 1 hp, and deals with attacks by dodging them, which is impossible to do when your frozen in time.
