i did my first slash grind today AND my first rock to fakie. im so stoked!!! ive been skating for about 6 months now and im so glad im progressing. ive been skating nonstop and been learning hella tricks. im so happy man. skateboarding has really saved my life
Thanks for the input. I am trying slash grinds on my road to an axle stall. Managed to land a few after dropping in. I feel you need to really control your speed. I freak out that my rear axle will slip over and I will slam face down the transition. The fear of hanging the axle above the coping is not so bad because at least I am facing down. Dont know how to over the fear of slipping out though. Thanks for the good advice! Keep it going!
dude i was originally a street skater back in early 2000s. ua-cam.com/video/OIfJ_g5J67s/v-deo.html now i have have back as a transition skater in my 30s after 15 years off since its so much less impact on your body. and i also think its legit the most fun. Dude hit me up if your ever in the bay area and we can do a colab on some trick tips.
@@SkateDadz That would be awesome! I have a similar story as I skated for a few years as a kid/ teen, and then took roughly 20yrs off. Just got back into it mid year last year. Transition looks like so much fun but definitely scary to me!
how can this be easier than a rock to fakie, slash grind terrify me, i can kick-turn rather well on any size of vert :( why do i struggle with slash grinds, i only do them once in a while by accident

would it be harder to learn a slash grind on a half pipe instead of a quarter or mini ramp?
i learned this by accident

just keep practicing kick turns. i struggled to learn rock to fakies because i hated coming down backwards
What’s it called when you do that but grind on your front truck instead of the back?
willy grind if your back truck is still on the ramp like a back wards smith. nose grind / nose pick if your back truck is in the air
Thanks for the video. Maby I dare to try this someday soon. /Old beginner
Bruh I'd crappie myself if the mini ramp I was grinding started to shake and wobble as I was on it😂😂😂😂
