    1 CUP WATER(ROOM TEMPERATURE)250ML

    This is NOT the bread improver that most people would think of or might use it for. That is a dry powder you can buy in baking supplies store or online. Your method (tangzhong) does imporve the structure of bread (as long as dough is high hydration) but it doesn't help the bread rise better. Also, don't use tangzhong if the bread is made with low hydration dough as it won't have any noticable effect.

    tangzhong tawag dyan. gingamit yan sa mdaming asian breads to retain more moisture sa bread. ndi ko lang sure if bread improver na tawag talaga sya. pero na improve nman ang bread so baka bread improver nga haha :)

      Yes tangzhong method that originated in Japan which is a homemade water roux as shown on the video that make the bread softer and increases its shelf life hence its called homemade bread improver 😁

      5-7% of flour weight will be fine, that's 25-35gms or about a table spoon

      Hi,if you check my new upload pumpkin dinner rolls ginamitan ko sya netong homemade bread improver.Same procedure and bread recipe lang din sa paggawa ng pumpkin pandesal igulong mo lang sa bread crumbs.Meron din akong spinach/malunggay pandesal na upload pls check on them.Malalambot lahat sila.Happy baking xx

      Hi Jamal,if you look at the written ingredients of one of my video called"Kalabasa pandesal" which is a filipino bread rolls, just substitute the amount of the mashed butternut squash with the same amount of this bread improver/bread softener.

      I used bread flour and all purpose flour.Both of them are made of wheat.

      Iba po ang shortening. Vegetables fats ang shortening.Parang lard sya pero maputi.Ang lard nman ay animal fats.mejo madilaw dilaw.
