Great video, I’m prior service and going back in as LO(just happy that I’m back serving again) but I couldn’t find any info on this job anywhere outside of Reddit so your video helps a lot.
Thanks for doing this! Prior service Marine and this was one of the jobs offered to me. Reddit makes it seem like it’s the absolute worst so getting some actual insight on day to day was nice.
To be fair
Reddit makes everything sound like the worst thing ever, except NDI haha
Reddit is full of people with zero skills or aspirations in life. Don’t listen to those internet goblins lol
Also prior Marine here. Aviation Ordnance Tech 6531/ 2016-2020
Thanks for the video. I'm going to basic training on the 27th of June, and will be going into LO. I'm wondering about the security clearance aspect of the career. What steps did you have to go through in order to get your clearance, and how does that compare to other Air Force careers? Clearance could be why there are so many limited bases for this job.
I thought I was dreaming ! Yay
I think LO would probably just be a shred of ASM, current LO probably will still stay at same bases unless more bases get LO aircrafts
Which would you recommend & why, my options due to color blindness are Aircraft structural maintenance, lo ASM, or material management.
have you had a chance to work on the new b-21?
No not yet!
Did you get to have a say in which aircraft you would get assigned to work on. Or do they choose for you in BMT?
Unfortunately no. They end up choosing it for you in BMT and the aircraft vary from base to base.
Do y’all really die in 10 years lol? Thinking of palace chasing to an agr spot for LO.
Not if you wear your PPE lol
"12 hour shifts don't happen that often" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I'm guessing you're on 35's.
Yup! Lol! I’m assuming you’re on 22’s?
@@thediamondalexis_ Yes, yes on all the other ones you've heard of, and yes to some you haven't heard of 😉
Langey and Whiteman guys have it rough though. 35's are barely LO imho....
@@dave22r2Fr 22 lo is rough
